< 1 John 2 >

1 My dear children, I'm writing this to you so you shouldn't sin. But if anybody should happen to sin, we have someone who defends us before the Father—Jesus Christ, who is truly good and right.
Little children of mine, these things I am writing to you so that not you may sin; And if anyone shall sin, an advocate we have with the Father, Jesus Christ [the] Righteous [One],
2 Through him our sins are forgiven—and not only our sins, but those of the whole world.
And He himself [the] propitiation is for the sins of us; not for those of ourselves and only but also for all the world.
3 We can be sure that we do know him if we follow his commands.
And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if the commandments of Him we shall keep.
4 Anyone who says, “I know him,” but doesn't do what he says, is a liar. They don't have the truth.
The [one] saying (that *no*) I have known Him and the commandments of Him not keeping, a liar he is, and in him the truth not is;
5 But those who follow God's word have his love totally fill their minds. This is how we know that we live in him.
Who[ever] however maybe may keep His word, truly in him the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that in Him we are.
6 Whoever claims to be living in him should behave like Jesus.
The [one] claiming in Him to abide ought even as that [one] walked also He himself in the same way to walk.
7 My friends, I'm not writing to you giving some new commandment, but an old commandment you've had from the beginning. This old commandment is one you have already heard.
(Beloved, *N(K)O*) not a commandment new I am writing to you but a commandment old which you have had from [the] beginning; The commandment old is the word that you have heard (from beginning. *K*)
8 But in a sense I am giving you a new commandment. Its truth is revealed in Jesus and in you, for the darkness is coming to an end and the true light is already shining.
Again a commandment new I am writing to you which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the light true already shines.
9 Those who say they live in the light but hate a fellow Christian still have the darkness inside them.
The [one] claiming in the light to be and the brother of him hating in the darkness is until now.
10 Those who love their fellow Christians live in the light, and don't cause others to sin.
The [one] loving the brother of him in the light abides and cause for stumbling in him not there is.
11 Those who hate a fellow Christian are in darkness. They stumble around in the dark, not knowing where they're going because the darkness has blinded them.
The [one] however hating the brother of him in the darkness is and in the darkness walks and not does he know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded the eyes of him.
12 Dear friends, I'm writing to you children, for your sins have been forgiven through the name of Jesus.
I am writing to you, little children, because have been forgiven your sins for the sake of the name of Him.
13 I'm writing to you fathers, for you know him who has existed from the beginning. I'm writing to you young people, for you have defeated the evil one.
I am writing to you, fathers, because you have known Him who [is] from [the] beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil [one]. (I have written *N(k)O*) to you, little children, because you have known the Father.
14 I write to you little children, for you know the Father. I write to you fathers, for you know him who has existed from the beginning. I write to you young people, for you are strong. The word of God lives in you, and you have defeated the evil one.
I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who [is] from [the] beginning. I have written to you, young men, because strong you are and the word of God in you abides and you have overcome the evil [one].
15 Don't be in love with the world, and don't long for the things of this world. If you love the world, you won't have the Father's love in you.
Not do love the world nor the [things] in the world. If anyone shall love the world, not is the love of the Father in him;
16 For all the things of this world—our sinful desires, wanting everything we see, boasting about what we've accomplished in life— these things don't come from the Father but from the world.
because all that [is] in the world, the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the vaunting of life, not is from the Father but from the world is.
17 The world and its evil desires are coming to an end, but those who do the will of God will live forever. (aiōn g165)
And the world is passing away and the desire of it; the [one] however doing the will of God abides to the age. (aiōn g165)
18 Dear friends, this is the last hour. As you've heard, the antichrist is coming. Many antichrists have already come. This is how we know this is the last hour.
Little children, [the] last hour it is, and even as you have heard that (*k*) antichrist is coming, even now antichrists many have arisen whereby we know that [the] last hour it is.
19 They left us, but they didn't belong with us, for if they did, they would have remained with us. When they left they showed that none of them belonged with us.
From among us they went out but not they were of us; if for of us they were being they had remained then would with us; But [it is] so that it may be made manifest that not they are all of us.
20 But you have been anointed with the Holy Spirit's blessing, and all of you know what's true.
And you yourselves [the] anointing have from the Holy [One] and you know (all [you]. *N(K)O*)
21 I'm not writing because you don't know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie comes from the truth.
Not I have written to you because not you know the truth but because you know it and because any lie of the truth not is.
22 Who is the liar?—anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ. The antichrist is anyone who denies the Father and the Son.
who is the liar only except the [one] denying that Jesus not is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the [one] denying the Father and the Son.
23 Anyone that denies the Son does not have the Father; anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father too.
Everyone who is denying the Son neither the Father has he; The [one] confessing the Son also the Father has.
24 As for you, make sure what you heard from the beginning continues to live in you. If what you heard from the beginning lives in you, you will also live in the Son and in the Father.
You yourselves (therefore *K*) what you have heard from [the] beginning in you should abide. If in you shall abide what from [the] beginning you have heard, also you yourselves in the Son and in the Father will abide.
25 Eternal life—this is what he has promised us! (aiōnios g166)
And this is the promise that He himself promised us: life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
26 I'm writing this to warn you against those who want to lead you astray.
These things I have written to you concerning those leading astray you.
27 But the anointing you received from him means the Spirit lives in you, and you don't need to be taught by anyone. The Spirit's anointing teaches you about everything. It is the truth and not a lie. So live in Christ, just as you've been taught!
And you yourselves, the anointing that you received from Him abides in you and not need you have that anyone may teach you; But just as the (same *N(k)O*) anointing teaches you concerning all things and true is and not is a lie and even as it has taught you, (you abide *N(k)O*) in Him.
28 Now, my dear friends, continue to live in Christ, so that when he appears, we can be confident and not feel ashamed before him at his coming.
And now, little children, do abide in Him, so that (if *N(K)O*) He shall appear (we may have *N(k)O*) boldness and not may be ashamed before Him at the coming of Him.
29 If you know he is good and right, then you also know that everyone who does what is right has been born of God.
If you know that righteous He is, you know that (also *no*) everyone who is practicing the righteousness of Him has been begotten.
