1 Corinthians 11
1 You should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.
Fiți imitatori ai mei, cum și eu sunt al lui Hristos.
2 I'm grateful that you always remember me and that you are keeping to the teachings just as I passed them on to you.
Și acum vă laud, fraților, că vă aduceți aminte de mine în toate lucrurile și că țineți cu tărie tradițiile, așa cum vi le-am dat eu.
3 I do want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, the man is the head of the woman, and God is the head of Christ.
Dar vreau să știți că capul oricărui bărbat este Hristos, iar capul femeii este bărbatul, iar capul lui Hristos este Dumnezeu.
4 A man's head is dishonored if he prays or prophesies with his head covered.
Orice om care se roagă sau profețește, având capul acoperit, își necinstește capul.
5 A woman's head is dishonored if she prays or prophesies with her head uncovered—it's just as if she had her hair shaved off.
Dar orice femeie care se roagă sau proorocește cu capul descoperit își dezonorează capul. Căci este unul și același lucru ca și cum ar fi rasă.
6 If a woman's head is not covered, then she should have her head shaved. If it's scandalous for a woman to be shorn or shaven, then she should have her head covered.
Căci, dacă o femeie nu este acoperită, să i se taie și părul. Dar dacă este rușinos pentru o femeie să aibă părul tăiat sau să fie rasă, să fie acoperită.
7 A man shouldn't cover his head, because he is the image and glory of God, while the woman is the glory of the man.
Căci într-adevăr, bărbatul nu trebuie să aibă capul acoperit, pentru că el este chipul și slava lui Dumnezeu, dar femeia este slava bărbatului.
8 Man didn't come from woman, but woman came from man;
Căci nu bărbatul vine din femeie, ci femeia vine din bărbat;
9 and man was not created for the woman, but the woman was created for the man.
căci nu bărbatul a fost creat pentru femeie, ci femeia pentru bărbat.
10 That's why the woman should have this sign of authority on her head out of respect for the watching angels.
De aceea, femeia trebuie să aibă autoritate asupra capului ei, din cauza îngerilor.
11 Even so, from the Lord's perspective, the woman is as essential as the man, and the man as essential as the woman.
Totuși, în Domnul, nici femeia nu este independentă de bărbat, nici bărbatul nu este independent de femeie.
12 As the woman came from the man, so the man comes from the woman—but more importantly everything comes from God.
Căci, după cum femeia a ieșit din bărbat, tot așa și bărbatul iese prin femeie; dar toate lucrurile sunt de la Dumnezeu.
13 Judge for yourselves: is it appropriate for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
Judecați voi înșivă. Se cuvine ca o femeie să se roage lui Dumnezeu fără să fie descoperită?
14 Doesn't nature itself indicate that a man with long hair disgraces himself?
Oare nu vă învață chiar natura însăși că, dacă un bărbat are părul lung, este o dezonoare pentru el?
15 However, a woman with long hair brings herself glory, because her hair is given to her as a covering.
Dar dacă o femeie are părul lung, este o glorie pentru ea, căci părul îi este dat ca acoperământ.
16 But if anyone wants to argue about this, we don't have any other custom than this, and neither do any other of God's churches.
Dar dacă vreun bărbat pare a fi certăreț, noi nu avem un astfel de obicei și nici adunările lui Dumnezeu.
17 Now in giving you the instructions that follow I can't commend you, because when you meet together you cause more harm than good!
Dar, dându-vă această poruncă, nu vă laud, pentru că vă adunați nu spre bine, ci spre rău.
18 First of all, I hear that when you have church meetings that you are split into different factions, and I believe there's some truth to this.
Pentru că, mai întâi de toate, când vă adunați în adunare, aud că între voi există diviziuni, și în parte cred aceasta.
19 Of course such splits among you must happen so those who are genuine can prove themselves by their evidence!
Căci trebuie să existe și între voi facțiuni, pentru ca cei care sunt aprobați să fie descoperiți printre voi.
20 When you meet together you're not really celebrating the Lord's Supper at all.
De aceea, când vă adunați laolaltă, nu este cina Domnului ceea ce mâncați.
21 Some want to eat first before everyone else, leaving others hungry. Still others get drunk.
Căci, în timpul mesei voastre, fiecare își ia mai întâi cina lui. Unul este flămând, iar altul este beat.
22 Don't you have your own houses to eat and drink in? Do you look down on God's church, and humiliate those who are poor? What should I tell you? That you're doing really well? I have nothing good to say about you for doing this!
Ce, n-aveți voi case în care să mâncați și să beți? Sau disprețuiți adunarea lui Dumnezeu și îi faceți de rușine pe cei care nu au destul? Ce să vă spun? Să vă laud? În aceasta nu vă laud.
23 For I received from the Lord what I passed on to you: the Lord Jesus on the night he was betrayed took some bread.
Căci am primit de la Domnul ceea ce v-am spus și vouă: că Domnul Isus, în noaptea în care a fost vândut, a luat pâine.
24 After giving thanks, he broke the bread into pieces and said, “This bread is my body, which is given for you. Remember me by doing this.”
După ce a mulțumit, a frânt-o și a zis: “Luați, mâncați. Acesta este trupul Meu, care este frânt pentru voi. Faceți aceasta în memoria mea”.
25 In the same way he took the cup, after the meal, and said, “This cup is the new agreement sealed with my blood. Remember me when you drink it.
În același fel a luat și paharul după cină, zicând: “Acest pahar este noul legământ în sângele Meu. Faceți aceasta, de câte ori veți bea, în amintirea mea”.
26 For every time you eat this bread and drink from this cup you announce the Lord's death, until he returns.”
Căci de câte ori mâncați pâinea aceasta și beți paharul acesta, vestiți moartea Domnului până când va veni el.
27 So anyone who eats the bread or drinks from the Lord's cup in a dishonorable way will be guilty of doing wrong against the body and blood of the Lord.
De aceea, oricine va mânca pâinea aceasta sau va bea paharul Domnului fără să fie vrednic de Domnul, se va face vinovat de trupul și de sângele Domnului.
28 Let each person examine themselves, and then let them eat the bread and drink from the cup.
Dar omul să se cerceteze pe sine însuși și astfel să mănânce din pâine și să bea din pahar.
29 Those who eat and drink bring judgment on themselves if they don't recognize their relationship with the body of the Lord.
Căci cel care mănâncă și bea într-un mod nedemn mănâncă și bea judecata lui însuși, dacă nu discerne trupul Domnului.
30 That's the reason why many of you are weak and sick, and some even have died.
Din această cauză mulți dintre voi sunt slabi și bolnavi și nu puțini dorm.
31 However, if we really examined ourselves, we would not be judged like this.
Căci, dacă ne-am discerne pe noi înșine, nu am fi judecați.
32 But when we are judged, we are being disciplined by the Lord so that we won't be condemned along with the world.
Dar când suntem judecați, suntem disciplinați de Domnul, ca să nu fim condamnați împreună cu lumea.
33 So my brothers and sisters, when you meet together to eat the Lord's Supper, wait for each other.
De aceea, frații mei, când vă adunați la masă, așteptați-vă unii pe alții.
34 If anyone is hungry, then eat at home so that when you meet together you won't bring condemnation on yourselves. I'll give you more directions when I visit.
Dar dacă cuiva îi este foame, să mănânce acasă, ca nu cumva venirea voastră împreună să fie pentru judecată. Restul, voi pune ordine când voi veni.
