1 The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

2 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

4 Eleazar was the father of Phinehas, Phinehas was the father of Abishua,
எலெயாசார் பினெகாசின் தகப்பன்; பினெகாஸ் அபிசுவாவின் தகப்பன்,
5 Abishua was the father of Bukki, Bukki was the father of Uzzi,
அபிசுவா புக்கியின் தகப்பன், புக்கி ஊசியின் தகப்பன்.
6 Uzzi was the father of Zerahiah, Zerahiah was the father of Meraioth,
ஊசி செரகியாவின் தகப்பன். செரகியா மெராயோத்தின் தகப்பன்,
7 Meraioth was the father of Amariah, Amariah was the father of Ahitub,
மெராயோத் அமரியாவின் தகப்பன், அமரியா அகிதூபின் தகப்பன்,
8 Ahitub was the father of Zadok, Zadok was the father of Ahimaaz,
அகிதூப் சாதோக்கின் தகப்பன், சாதோக் அகிமாஸின் தகப்பன்,
9 Ahimaaz was the father of Azariah, Azariah was the father of Johanan,
அகிமாஸ் அசரியாவின் தகப்பன், அசரியா யோகனானின் தகப்பன்,
10 Johanan was the father of Azariah (he was the one who was serving as priest when Solomon built the Temple in Jerusalem),
யோகனான் அசரியாவின் தகப்பன். எருசலேமில் சாலொமோன் கட்டிய ஆலயத்தில் ஆசாரியனாக இருந்தவன் இவனே.
11 Azariah was the father of Amariah, Amariah was the father of Ahitub,
அசரியா அமரியாவின் தகப்பன், அமரியா அகிதூபின் தகப்பன்,
12 Ahitub was the father of Zadok, Zadok was the father of Shallum,
அகிதூப் சாதோக்கின் தகப்பன், சாதோக் சல்லூமின் தகப்பன்.
13 Shallum was the father of Hilkiah, Hilkiah was the father of Azariah,
சல்லூம் இல்க்கியாவின் தகப்பன்; இல்க்கியா அசரியாவின் தகப்பன்,
14 Azariah was the father of Seraiah, and Seraiah was the father of Jehozadak.
அசரியா செராயாவின் தகப்பன், செராயா யோசதாக்கின் தகப்பன்.
15 Jehozadak was taken into captivity when the Lord used Nebuchadnezzar to send Judah and Jerusalem into exile.
யெகோவா நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரைக் கொண்டு யூதாவையும், எருசலேமையும் நாடுகடத்தியபோது, யோசதாக்கும் நாடுகடத்தப்பட்டான்.
16 The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
லேவியின் மகன்கள்: கெர்சோம், கோகாத், மெராரி என்பவர்கள்.
17 These are the names of the sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei.
கெர்சோமின் மகன்கள்: லிப்னி, சீமேயி.
18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

19 The sons of Merari: Mahli, and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites listed in order according to their fathers:

20 The descendants of Gershon: Libni his son, Jehath his son, Zimmah his son,

21 Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, and Jeatherai his son.

22 The descendants of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,

31 These are the musicians David appointed to direct the music in the house of the Lord once the Ark had been placed there.

32 They led out in the music and singing before the Tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, until Solomon built the Lord's Temple in Jerusalem. They served following the regulations they had been given.

33 Here are the men who served, together with their sons: From the Kohathites: Heman, the singer, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel,

34 the son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah,

39 Asaph, Heman's relative, who served beside him on the right: Asaph son of Berekiah, the son of Shimea,

44 To Heman's left served sons of Merari: Ethan son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,

48 The other Levites carried out all the other functions in the Tabernacle, the house of God.

49 However, it was Aaron and his descendants who were the ones who gave offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense and did all the work in the Most Holy Place, making atonement for Israel according to everything Moses the servant of God had commanded.

50 The descendants of Aaron were: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,

51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,

52 Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,

54 These were the places they were given to live as their territory allotted to descendants of Aaron, beginning with the Kohathite clan, because theirs was the first lot:

55 They received Hebron in Judah together with its surrounding pasturelands.
அதன்படி அவர்களுக்கு யூதாவிலுள்ள எப்ரோனும், அதைச் சுற்றியுள்ள மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
56 But the fields and villages near the town were given to Caleb son of Jephunneh.
ஆனால் பட்டணத்தைச் சுற்றியுள்ள வயல்களும், கிராமங்களும் எப்புன்னேயின் மகன் காலேபுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
57 So the descendants of Aaron received Hebron, a town of refuge, Libnah, Jattir, Eshtemoa,
ஆரோனின் சந்ததிகளுக்கு எப்ரோன் என்ற அடைக்கலப் பட்டணங்களில் லிப்னா, யாத்தீர், எஸ்தெமோவா,
58 Hilen, Debir,
ஈலேன், தெபீர்,
59 Ashan, Juttah and Beth Shemesh, together with their pasturelands.
ஆஷான், யூத்சா, பெத்ஷிமேஷ் ஆகிய பட்டணங்களோடு அவற்றைச் சுற்றியுள்ள மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
60 From the tribe of Benjamin they received Gibeon, Geba, Alemeth, and Anathoth, together with their pasturelands. They had a total of thirteen towns among their families.
பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்திற்கு கிபியோன், கேபா, அலெமேத், ஆனதோத் ஆகிய பட்டணங்களும், அவற்றைச் சேர்ந்த மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன. எல்லாமாக பதின்மூன்று பட்டணங்கள் கோகாத்திய வம்சங்களுக்குள் பகிர்ந்து கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
61 The rest of Kohath's descendants received by lot ten towns from the half tribe of Manasseh.
மீதமிருந்த மற்ற கோகாத்தியருக்கு மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்தின் பத்துப் பட்டணங்கள் பகிர்ந்து கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
62 The descendants of Gershon, by family, received thirteen towns from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, and Naphtali, and from the partial tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
கெர்சோமின் சந்ததிகளுக்கு அவர்களின் ஒவ்வொரு வம்சங்களுக்கேற்ப இசக்கார், ஆசேர், நப்தலி, பாசானில் இருக்கிற மனாசேயின் மற்ற பாதிக் கோத்திரங்களிலுமிருந்து பதின்மூன்று பட்டணங்கள் பகிர்ந்து கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
63 The descendants of Merari, by family, received twelve towns from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
மெராரியின் சந்ததிகளுக்கு அவர்களின் ஒவ்வொரு வம்சங்களுக்கும் ஏற்ப ரூபன், காத், செபுலோன் கோத்திரங்களிலுமிருந்து பன்னிரண்டு பட்டணங்கள் பகிர்ந்து கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
64 So the people of Israel gave the Levites these towns and their pasturelands.
இவ்வாறு இஸ்ரயேலர் இந்தப் பட்டணங்களையும், அவற்றின் மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களையும் லேவியர்களுக்குப் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.
65 They allotted the towns already mentioned by name from the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
யூதா, சிமியோன், பென்யமீன் ஆகிய கோத்திரங்களிலிருந்தும் முன்குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட பட்டணங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்.
66 Some of the Kohathite families received as their territory towns from the tribe of Ephraim.
சில கோகாத்திய வம்சங்களுக்கு எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து பட்டணங்கள் அவர்கள் பிரதேசமாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
67 They were given Shechem, a town of refuge, in the hill country of Ephraim, Gezer,
எப்பிராயீமின் மலைநாட்டில் அடைக்கலப் பட்டணமான சீகேமும், அத்துடன் கேசேர்,
68 Jokmeam, Beth Horon,
யோக்மேயாம், பெத் ஓரோன்,
69 Aijalon, and Gath Rimmon, together with their pasturelands.

70 From half the tribe of Manasseh the people of Israel gave Aner and Bileam, together with their pasturelands, to the rest of the Kohathite families.
எஞ்சியிருந்த கோகாத்தியரின் வம்சங்களுக்கு மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து, ஆனேரும், பீலியாமும் அவற்றின் மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களும் இஸ்ரயேலரால் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
71 The descendants of Gershon received the following. From the family of the half-tribe of Manasseh: Golan in Bashan, and Ashtaroth, together with their pasturelands;
கெர்சோமியர் பெற்ற நிலங்களாவன: மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து பாசானிலிருக்கிற கோலானையும், அஸ்தரோத்தையும் அவற்றின் மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.
72 from the tribe of Issachar: Kedesh, Daberath,
இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்தும் கெதெஷ், தாபேராத்,
73 Ramoth, and Anem, together with their pasturelands;
ராமோத், ஆனேம் பட்டணங்களையும், அவற்றின் மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.
74 from the tribe of Asher: Mashal, Abdon,
ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்தும் மாஷால், அப்தோன்,
75 Hukok, and Rehob, together with their pasturelands;
ஊக்கோக், ரேகோப் பட்டணங்களையும் அவற்றின் மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள்.
76 and from the tribe of Naphtali: Kedesh in Galilee, Hammon, and Kiriathaim, together with their pasturelands.
நப்தலி கோத்திரத்திலிருந்தும் கலிலேயாவிலிருக்கிற கேதேசையும், அம்மோன், கீரியாத்தாயீம் பட்டணங்களையும் அவற்றின் மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.
77 The rest of the descendants of Merari received the following. From the tribe of Zebulun: Jokneam, Kartah, Rimmono, and Tabor, together with their pasturelands;
லேவியர்களில் எஞ்சியிருந்த மெராரியின் மற்றவர்கள் செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து யொக்னெயாம், காட்டா, ரிம்மோனோ, தாபோர் ஆகிய பட்டணங்களையும், அவற்றின் மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள்.
78 from the tribe of Reuben on the east side of the Jordan opposite Jericho: Bezer (in the desert), Jahzah,
யோர்தானின் அக்கரையிலே எரிகோவின் கிழக்கேயிருக்கிற ரூபனின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்தும் பாலைவனத்திலிருக்கிற பேசேரையும், யாத்சா,
79 Kedemoth, and Mephaath, together with their pasturelands;
கெதெமோத், மேபாகாத் ஆகிய பட்டணங்களோடு அவற்றின் மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள்.
80 and from the tribe of Gad: Ramoth in Gilead, Mahanaim,
காத் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து, கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத், மக்னாயீம்,
81 Heshbon, and Jazer, together with their pasturelands.
எஸ்போன், யாசேர் ஆகிய பட்டணங்களோடு அவற்றின் மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள்.
