1 Chronicles 24
1 The sons of Aaron were placed in divisions as follows. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
अहरोन-वंशजों के समूह ये थे: अहरोन के पुत्र थे नादाब, अबीहू, एलिएज़र और इथामार.
2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did, and they had no sons. Only Eleazar and Ithamar carried on as priests.
मगर नादाब और अबीहू की मृत्यु उनके पिता के देखते-देखते हो गई थी. उनके कोई संतान भी न थी. फलस्वरूप एलिएज़र और इथामार ने पौरोहितिक कार्यभार अपने ऊपर ले लिया.
3 With the help of Zadok, a descendant of Eleazar, and Ithamar, a descendant Ahimelech, David placed them in divisions according to their appointed duties.
एलिएज़र वंशज सादोक और इथामार-वंशज अहीमेलेख के साथ मिलकर दावीद ने सेवा के लिए उनके पदों के अनुसार उनके समूहों को बांट दिया.
4 Because Eleazar's descendants had more leaders than those of Ithamar, they were divided like this: sixteen family leaders from the descendants of Eleazar, and eight from the descendants of Ithamar.
इसलिये कि एलिएज़र-वंशजों में इथामार-वंशजों से संख्या में ज्यादा मुख्य पाए गए, उनका बंटवारा इस प्रकार किया गया: एलिएज़र-वंशजों में सोलह और इथामार-वंशजों में आठ मुख्य पाए गए, ये दोनों ही उनके घरानों के अनुसार थे.
5 They were divided by casting lots, without preference, for there were officers of the sanctuary and officers of God from both the sons of Eleazar and the sons of Ithamar.
पासा फेंकने की प्रथा के द्वारा इन सभी का बंटवारा किया गया था; बिना किसी भेद-भाव के सभी का, क्योंकि वे मंदिर के, हां, परमेश्वर के लिए चुने गए अधिकारी थे. ये दोनों ही एलिएज़र और इथामार-वंशज थे.
6 Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, was the secretary. He wrote down the names and assignments in the presence of the king, the officials, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the family leaders of the priests and Levites. One family from Eleazar and one from Ithamar were chosen in turn.
लेवियों में से नेथानेल के पुत्र शेमायाह ने राजा, शासकों, पुरोहित सादोक, अबीयाथर के पुत्र अहीमेलेख और पुरोहितों के घरानों और लेवियों के सामने इन्हें लिख लिया. एक घराना एलिएज़र के लिए और एक घराना इथामार के लिए लिखा गया.
7 The first lot fell to Jehoiarib. The second to Jedaiah.

8 The third to Harim. The fourth to Seorim.

10 The seventh to Hakkoz. The eighth to Abijah.

12 The eleventh to Eliashib. The twelfth to Jakim.

13 The thirteenth to Huppah. The fourteenth to Jeshebeab.

14 The fifteenth to Bilgah. The sixteenth to Immer.

15 The seventeenth to Hezir. The eighteenth to Happizzez.
सत्रहवां हेज़ीर के लिए, अठारहवां हापीज़ीज़ के लिए,
16 The nineteenth to Pethahiah. The twentieth to Jehezkel.
उन्नीसवां पेथाइयाह के लिए, बीसवां यहेजकेल के लिए,
17 The twenty-first to Jakin. The twenty-second to Gamul.
इक्कीसवां याकिन के लिए, बाईसवां गामुल के लिए,
18 The twenty-third to Delaiah. The twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
तेईसवां देलाइयाह के लिए और चौबीसवां माजियाह के लिए निकला.
19 This was the order in which each group were to serve when they came into the house of the Lord, following the procedure defined for them by their forefather Aaron, as instructed by the Lord, the God of Israel.

20 These were the rest of the sons of Levi: from the sons of Amram: Shubael; from the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.
इनके अलावा लेवी के अन्य वंशजों का लेखा इस प्रकार है: अमराम के पुत्रों में से शेबुएल; शेबुएल के पुत्रों में से येहदेइया.
21 For Rehabiah, from his sons: Isshiah (first).
रेहाबिया के पुत्रों में से इश्शियाह, जो जेठा भी था.
22 From the Izharites: Shelomoth; from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.
इज़हारियों के वंशजों में से शेलोमोथ; शेलोमोथ के वंशजों में से याहाथ.
23 The sons of Hebron: Jeriah (first), Amariah (second), Jahaziel (third), and Jekameam (fourth).

24 The son of Uzziel: Micah; from the sons of Micah: Shamir.

25 The brother of Micah: Isshiah; from the sons of Isshiah: Zechariah.

26 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The son of Jaaziah: Beno.
मेरारी के पुत्र माहली और मूशी; यआत्सियाह का पुत्र बेनो,
27 The sons of Merari: from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur and Ibri.

28 From Mahli: Eleazar, who did not have any sons.

29 From Kish: the son of Kish, Jerahmeel.

30 The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites, according to their families.

31 They also cast lots in the same way their relatives the descendants of Aaron did. They did this in the presence of King David, and of Zadok, Ahimelech, and the family leaders of the priests and of the Levites, the family leaders and their youngest brothers alike.
