< 1 Chronicles 22 >

1 Then David said, “This is where the house of the Lord God will be, and this is the place for the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”
Afei, Dawid kae se, “Ɛha ne baabi a wobesi Awurade Nyankopɔn Asɔredan no ne afɔremuka a Israel bɛbɔ so ɔhyew afɔre no.”
2 So David gave orders to summon the foreigners living in the land of Israel, and he assigned stonecutters to prepare dressed stones to build the house of God.
Ɛno nti Dawid hyɛ ma wɔfrɛfrɛɛ ahɔho a wɔte Israel nyinaa boaa ano. Ɔma wotwaa abo a wɔde besi Onyankopɔn Asɔredan no.
3 David provided plenty of iron to make the nails for the entrance doors and for the supports, as well as more bronze than could be weighed.
Dawid maa nnade pii a wɔde bɛyɛ nnadewa a ɛho behia ama apon ne mpontare. Ɔmaa kɔbere mfrafrae nso bebree a na wontumi nkari mpo.
4 He provided more cedar logs than could be counted, because the people of Sidon and Tyre had brought a huge quantity of cedar logs to David.
Ɔmaa sida nnua pii nso, efisɛ na mmarima a wofi Tiro ne Sidon de bebree abrɛ Dawid dedaw.
5 David said to himself, “My son Solomon is still young and inexperienced, and the house that is to be built for the Lord must be truly magnificent, famous and glorious around the world. I need to start preparing for it.” So David made sure plenty of building materials were ready before he died.
Dawid kae se, “Me babarima Salomo nnyinii, na onni osuahu bi, nanso ɛsɛ sɛ saa asɔredan yi yɛ kɛse, gye din na ɛyɛ anuonyamhyɛ wɔ wiase mmaa nyinaa. Enti mefi ase nnɛ yi ara ayɛ ahoboa ama ne si.” Enti Dawid pɛɛ adansi ho nneɛma bebree guu hɔ ansa na ɔrewu.
6 Then he sent for his son Solomon and instructed him to build a house for the Lord, the God of Israel.
Afei, Dawid soma kɔfaa ne babarima Salomo, na ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ onsi asɔredan mma Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn.
7 David told Solomon, “My son, I had always wanted to build a house to honor the Lord my God.
Dawid ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Me ba, na anka mepɛ sɛ misi asɔredan de hyɛ Awurade, me Nyankopɔn, din anuonyam.
8 But the Lord told me, ‘You have shed a lot of blood and engaged in many wars. You are not to build a house to honor me because I have seen you shed so much blood on the earth.
Nanso Awurade ka kyerɛɛ me se, ‘Woakunkum nnipa bebree wɔ akodi akɛse a wudii no mu. Na esiane sɛ woahwie mogya bebree agu wɔ mʼanim nti, ɛnyɛ wo na wubesi asɔredan de ahyɛ me din anuonyam.
9 But you will have a son who will be a man of peace. I will give him peace from all his enemies in the nations around. Solomon will be his name, and I will grant peace and quiet to Israel during his reign.
Na wobɛwo ɔbabarima a ne bere so asomdwoe ne ahotɔ bɛba. Mɛma asomdwoe abɛda ɔne nʼatamfo a wɔwɔ nsase a atwa ha ahyia no nyinaa ntam. Wɔbɛfrɛ no Salomo. Nʼahenni mu no, mɛma asomdwoe ne ahotɔ aba Israel.
10 He is the one who will build a house to honor me. He will be my son, and I will be his father. And I will make sure the throne of his kingdom over Israel lasts forever.’
Ɔno ne obi a obesi asɔredan, de ahyɛ me din anuonyam. Ɔbɛyɛ me babarima na mayɛ nʼagya. Na mɛma nʼahenni ahengua atim wɔ Israel afebɔɔ.’
11 Now, my son, may the Lord be with you so you may succeed in building the house of the Lord your God, just as he said you would.
“Afei, me ba, Awurade nka wo ho na ɔmma wo nkɔso bere a wudi nʼahyɛde so, na woresi Awurade, wo Nyankopɔn, asɔredan yi.
12 Only may the Lord give you insight and understanding when he puts you in command of Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.
Na Awurade mma wo nyansa ne ntease, na woadi Awurade, wo Nyankopɔn mmara so bere a wudi Israel so hene yi.
13 Then you will be successful, as long as you are careful to follow the laws and regulations that the Lord through Moses instructed Israel to do. Be strong and be brave! Don't be afraid or discouraged!
Sɛ wudi mmara ne ahyɛde a Awurade nam Mose so de maa Israel no so yiye a, ebesi wo yiye. Yɛ den na yɛ nnam. Nsuro na mma wo koma ntu.
14 Look, I've taken a lot of trouble to provide for the house of the Lord— 100,000 talents of gold, 1,000,000 talents of silver, and bronze and iron, more than can be weighed.
“Mayɛ adwumaden apɛ Awurade Asɔredan no si ho nneɛma, sikakɔkɔɔ bɛyɛ tɔn mpem anan, dwetɛ bɛyɛ tɔn mpem aduanan ne nnade ne kɔbere mfrafrae pii a wontumi nkari mpo. Maboaboa nnua ne abo a wɔde bɛyɛ afasu no, nanso ebia ɛsɛ sɛ wopɛ bi ka ho.
15 I have also provided timber and stone, but you will need to add more.
Wowɔ abo adansifo, nnua adwumfo ne nnwuma ahorow mu adwumfo bebree.
16 You have many workers such as stonecutters, masons, carpenters, and all kinds of craftsmen of gold, silver, bronze, and iron—without limit. So get started, and may the Lord be with you!”
Wɔyɛ abenfo wɔ sikakɔkɔɔ, dwetɛ adwinni mu, kɔbere mfrafrae ne nnade ho adwumayɛfo. Afei fi adwuma no ase, na Awurade nka wo ho.”
17 David also ordered all the leaders in Israel to help his son Solomon.
Na Dawid hyɛɛ Israel ntuanofo nyinaa sɛ wɔmmoa Salomo wɔ saa dwumadi no mu.
18 “Isn't the Lord God with you? Hasn't he given you peace on all your borders?” he asked. “Why? Because he has placed the inhabitants of the land under my power, and they are now subject to the Lord and to his people.
Ɔkae se, “Awurade, wo Nyankopɔn ka wo ho. Wama asomdwoe aba wo ne aman a atwa wo ho ahyia no ntam. Ɔde wɔn ama me, nti wɔyɛ Awurade ne ne nkurɔfo nkoa.
19 Now, with your whole mind and heart, make a definite decision to always worship the Lord your God. Get started on building the sanctuary of the Lord God, Then you can bring the Ark of the Lord's Agreement and the holy things of God into the house that is to be built to honor the Lord.”
Afei fi wo koma nyinaa mu hwehwɛ Awurade, wo Nyankopɔn. Si Awurade Nyankopɔn kronkronbea sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a, wubetumi de Awurade Apam Adaka no ne Onyankopɔn akronkronne no nyinaa akɔ asɔredan a wɔasi de rehyɛ Awurade din anuonyam no mu.”
