1 Chronicles 2
1 These were the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun,
Filii autem Israel: Ruben, Simeon, Levi, Iuda, Issachar, et Zabulon,
2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
Dan, Ioseph, Beniamin, Nephthali, Gad et Aser.
3 The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah—these three the daughter of Shua, a Canaanite woman, bore to him. Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord, so he put him to death.
Filii Iuda: Her, Onan, et Sela. hi tres nati sunt ei de filia Suae Chananitidis. Fuit autem Her primogenitus Iuda, malus coram Domino, et occidit eum.
4 Tamar was Judah's daughter-in-law, and she bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had a total of five sons.
Thamar autem nurus eius peperit ei Phares et Zara. omnes ergo filii Iuda, quinque.
5 The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.
Filii autem Phares: Hesron et Hamul.
6 The sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol and Darda—a total of five.
Filii quoque Zarae: Zamri, et Ethan, et Eman, Chalchal quoque, et Darda, simul quinque.
7 The son of Carmi: Achar, who caused trouble for Israel by being unfaithful in taking what was consecrated to the Lord.
Filii Charmi: Achar, qui turbavit Israel, et peccavit in furto anathematis.
8 The son of Ethan: Azariah.
Filii Ethan: Azarias.
9 The sons that were born to Hezron: Jerahmeel, Ram and Caleb.
Filii autem Hesron qui nati sunt ei: Ierameel, et Ram, et Calubi.
10 Ram was the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab was the father of Nahshon, a leader of Judah's descendants.
Porro Ram genuit Aminadab. Aminadab autem genuit Nahasson, principem filiorum Iuda.
11 Nahshon was the father of Salmon, Salmon was the father of Boaz,
Nahasson quoque genuit Salma, de quo ortus est Booz.
12 Boaz was the father of Obed, and Obed was the father of Jesse.
Booz vero genuit Obed, qui et ipse genuit Isai.
13 Jesse was the father of his firstborn son Eliab; the second son was Abinadab, the third Shimea,
Isai autem genuit primogenitum Eliab, secundum Aminadab, tertium Simmaa,
14 the fourth Nethanel, the fifth Raddai,
quartum Nathanael, quintum Raddai,
15 the sixth Ozem, and the seventh David.
sextum Asom, septimum David.
16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah's were Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three in total.
quorum sorores fuerunt Sarvia, et Abigail. Filii Sarviae: Abisai, Ioab, et Asael, tres.
17 Abigail gave birth to Amasa, and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.
Abigail autem genuit Amasa, cuius pater fuit Iether Ismahelites.
18 Caleb son of Hezron had children by his wife Azubah, and also by Jerioth. These were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.
Caleb vero filius Hesron accepit uxorem nomine Azuba, de qua genuit Ierioth: fueruntque filii eius Iaser, et Sobab, et Ardon.
19 When Azubah died, Caleb took Ephrath to be his wife, and she bore him Hur.
Cumque mortua fuisset Azuba, accepit uxorem Caleb, Ephratha: quae peperit ei Hur.
20 Hur was the father of Uri, and Uri the father of Bezalel.
Porro Hur genuit Uri: et Uri genuit Bezeleel.
21 Later on Hezron slept with the daughter of Makir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old, and she bore him Segub.
Post haec ingressus est Hesron ad filiam Machir patris Galaad, et accepit eam cum esset annorum sexaginta: quae peperit ei Segub.
22 Segub was the father of Jair, who had twenty-three towns in Gilead.
Sed et Segub genuit Iair, et possedit viginti tres civitates in Terra Galaad.
23 But Geshur and Aram took from them Havvoth Jair, along with Kenath and its towns, a total of sixty towns. These were all descendants of Makir the father of Gilead.
Cepitque Gessur, et Aram oppida Iair, et Canath, et viculos eius sexaginta civitatum. omnes isti, filii Machir patris Galaad.
24 After Hezron died in Caleb Ephrathah, his wife Abijah bore him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.
Cum autem mortuus esset Hesron, ingressus est Caleb ad Ephratha. Habuit quoque Hesron uxorem Abia, quae peperit ei Assur patrem Thecuae.
25 The sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron: Ram (firstborn), Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah.
Nati sunt autem filii Ierameel primogeniti Hesron, Ram primogenitus eius, et Buna, et Aram, et Asom, et Achia.
26 Jerahmeel had another wife called Atarah. She was the mother of Onam.
Duxit quoque uxorem alteram Ierameel, nomine Atara, quae fuit mater Onam.
27 The sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel: Maaz, Jamin and Eker.
Sed et filii Ram primogeniti Ierameel, fuerunt Moos, Iamin, et Achar.
28 The sons of Onam: Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.
Onam autem habuit filios Semei, et Iada. Filii autem Semei: Nadab, et Abisur.
29 Abishur's wife was called Abihail, who bore him Ahban and Molid.
Nomen vero uxoris Abisur, Abihail, quae peperit ei Ahobban, et Molid.
30 The sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim. Seled died without having children.
Filii autem Nadab fuerunt Saled, et Apphaim. Mortuus est autem Saled absque liberis.
31 The son of Appaim: Ishi, the father of Sheshan. Sheshan was the father of Ahlai.
Filius vero Apphaim, Iesi: qui Iesi genuit Sesan. Porro Sesan genuit Oholai.
32 The sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan. Jether died without having children.
Filii autem Iada fratris Semei: Iether, et Ionathan. Sed et Iether mortuus est absque liberis.
33 The sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These are all the descendants of Jerahmeel.
Porro Ionathan genuit Phaleth, et Ziza. Isti fuerunt filii Ierameel.
34 Sheshan had no sons, he only had daughters, but he did have an Egyptian servant named Jarha.
Sesan autem non habuit filios, sed filias: et servum Aegyptium nomine Ieraa.
35 So Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage to his servant Jarha, and she bore him Attai.
Deditque ei filiam suam uxorem: quae peperit ei Ethei.
36 Attai was the father of Nathan. Nathan was the father of Zabad,
Ethei autem genuit Nathan, et Nathan genuit Zabad.
37 Zabad was the father of Ephlal, Ephlal was the father of Obed,
Zabad quoque genuit Ophlal, et Ophlal genuit Obed,
38 Obed was the father of Jehu, Jehu was the father of Azariah,
Obed genuit Iehu, Iehu genuit Azariam,
39 Azariah was the father of Helez, Helez was the father of Eleasah,
Azarias genuit Helles, et Helles genuit Elasa.
40 Eleasah was the father of Sismai, Sismai was the father of Shallum,
Elasa genuit Sisamoi, Sisamoi genuit Sellum,
41 Shallum was the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah was the father of Elishama.
Sellum genuit Icamiam, Icamia autem genuit Elisama.
42 The sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel: Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and his son Mareshah, who was the father of Hebron.
Filii autem Caleb fratris Ierameel: Mesa primogenitus eius, ipse est pater Ziph: et filii Maresa patris Hebron.
43 The sons of Hebron: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema.
Porro filii Hebron, Core, et Taphua, et Recem, et Samma.
44 Shema was the father of Raham, and Raham the father of Jorkeam. Rekem was the father of Shammai.
Samma autem genuit Raham, patrem Iercaam, et Recem genuit Sammai.
45 Shammai's son was Maon, and Maon was the father of Beth Zur.
Filius Sammai, Maon: et Maon pater Bethsur.
46 Ephah, Caleb's concubine, was the mother of Haran, Moza, and Gazez. Haran was the father of Gazez.
Epha autem concubina Caleb peperit Haran, et Mosa, et Gezez. Porro Haran genuit Gezez.
47 The sons of Jahdai: Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.
Filii autem Iahaddai, Regom, et Ioathan, et Gesan, et Phalet, et Epha, et Saaph.
48 Maacah, Caleb's concubine, was the mother of Sheber and Tirhanah.
Concubina Caleb Maacha, peperit Saber, et Tharana.
49 She was also the mother of Shaaph, the father of Madmannah, and of Sheva, the father of Macbenah and Gibea. Caleb's daughter was Acsah.
Genuit autem Saaph pater Madmena, Sue patrem Machbena, et patrem Gabaa. Filia vero Caleb, fuit Achsa.
50 These are all the descendants of Caleb. The sons of Hur the firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal, the father of Kiriath Jearim,
Hi erant filii Caleb, filii Hur primogeniti Ephratha, Sobal pater Cariathiarim.
51 Salma, the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph, the father of Beth Gader.
Salma pater Bethlehem, Hariph pater Bethgader.
52 The descendants of Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim were: Haroeh, half the Manahathites,
Fuerunt autem filii Sobal patris Cariathiarim, Qui videbat dimidium requietionum.
53 and the families of Kiriath Jearim: the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites, and Mishraites. From these descended the Zorathites and Eshtaolites.
Et de cognatione Cariathiarim, Iethrei, et Aphuthei, et Semathei, et Maserei. Ex his egressi sunt Saraitae, et Esthaolitae.
54 The descendants of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth Beth Joab, half the Manahathites, the Zorites,
Filii Salma, Bethlehem, et Netophathi, Coronae domus Ioab, et Dimidium requietionis Sarai.
55 and the families of scribes who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, Shimeathites, and Sucathites. These are the Kenites who descended from Hammath, the father of the house of Recab.
Cognationes quoque scribarum habitantium in Iabes, canentes atque Resonantes, et in tabernaculis commorantes. Hi sunt Cinaei, qui venerunt de Calore patris domus Rechab.
