1 Chronicles 15

1 Once David had finished building houses for himself in the City of David, he made a place for the Ark of God and set up a tent there.

൧ദാവീദ് തനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അരമനകളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകത്തിനായി ഒരു സ്ഥലം ഒരുക്കി, അതിന് ഒരു കൂടാരവും അടിച്ചു.

2 Then he gave orders: “Nobody is to carry the Ark of God except the Levites, for the Lord himself chose them to carry the Ark of the Lord and to serve him forever.”

൨അന്ന് ദാവീദ്: “ലേവ്യർ മാത്രമാണ് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ചുമക്കേണ്ടത്; അവരെയല്ലോ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ചുമക്കുവാനും അവിടുത്തേക്ക് എന്നും ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുവാനും യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.

3 David summoned all of Israel to Jerusalem to bring the Ark of the Lord to the place he'd prepared for it.

൩അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം താൻ അതിനായി ഒരുക്കിയ സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും യെരൂശലേമിൽ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

4 This is the list of the Levites, the sons of Aaron, that David called to attend:

൪ദാവീദ് അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

5 From the sons of Kohath, Uriel (chief), and 120 of his relatives;

൫കെഹാത്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ ഊരീയേലിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ നൂറ്റിരുപത് (120) പേരെയും

6 from the sons of Merari, Asaiah (chief), with 220 of his relatives;

൬മെരാര്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ അസായാവെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ ഇരുനൂറ്റിരുപതുപേരെയും (220)

7 from the sons of Gershom, Joel (chief), with 130 of his relatives;

൭ഗെർശോമ്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ യോവേലിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ നൂറ്റിമുപ്പതുപേരെയും (130)

8 from the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah (chief), with 200 of his relatives;

൮എലീസാഫാന്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ ശെമയ്യാവെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ ഇരുനൂറുപേരെയും (200)

9 from the sons of Hebron, Eliel (chief), with 80 of his relatives;

10 from the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab (chief), with 112 of his relatives.

൧൦ഉസ്സീയേല്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ അമ്മീനാദാബിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ നൂറ്റിപ്പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേരെയും (112) ആണ് ദാവീദ് കൂട്ടിവരുത്തിയത്.

11 Then David summoned the priests Zadok and Abiathar, and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab.

൧൧ദാവീദ് പുരോഹിതന്മാരായ സാദോക്കിനെയും അബ്യാഥാരിനെയും ഊരീയേൽ, അസായാവ്, യോവേൽ, ശെമയ്യാവ്, എലീയേൽ, അമ്മീനാദാബ് എന്നീ ലേവ്യരെയും വിളിപ്പിച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞത്:

12 He told them, “You are the heads of the Levite families. You must make yourselves and your relatives ceremonially clean and pure before you bring back the Ark of God, the Lord of Israel to the place I have made for it.

൧൨നിങ്ങൾ ലേവ്യരുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങളിൽ തലവന്മാരല്ലോ; നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം, ഞാൻ അതിനുവേണ്ടി ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുക.

13 Because you weren't there the first time to carry the Ark the Lord our God burst out in violence against us. We didn't treat it in accordance with his instructions.”

൧൩ആദിയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ അത് ചെയ്തില്ല, അതുകൊണ്ട് നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നമ്മെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചു; അന്ന് നാം അവനെ നിയമപ്രകാരമല്ലല്ലോ അന്വേഷിച്ചത്

14 So the priests and the Levites purified themselves so that they could bring back the Ark of the Lord, the God of Israel.

൧൪അങ്ങനെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ തങ്ങളെ തന്നേ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു.

15 Then the Levites carried the Ark of God in the way that Moses had ordered, according to what God had said—on their shoulders using the special carrying poles.

൧൫ലേവ്യരുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ യഹോവയുടെ വചനപ്രകാരം മോശെ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകത്തെ അതിന്റെ തണ്ടുകൾ തങ്ങളുടെ ചുമലിൽ വച്ചു ചുമന്നു.

16 David also instructed the leaders of the Levites to assign from their relatives singers who would sing loudly for joy, accompanied by musicians playing lyres, and harps, and cymbals.

൧൬പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് ലേവ്യരിലെ പ്രധാനികളോടു വീണ, കിന്നരം, കൈത്താളം എന്നീ വാദ്യങ്ങളാൽ സന്തോഷനാദം ഉച്ചത്തിൽ മുഴക്കേണ്ടതിന് സംഗീതക്കാരായ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ നിയമിക്കുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു.

17 So the Levites assigned Heman the son of Joel; and from his relatives Asaph the son of Berechiah; and from the sons of Merari, their relatives, Ethan the son of Kushaiah.

൧൭അങ്ങനെ ലേവ്യർ യോവേലിന്റെ മകനായ ഹേമാനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ ബേരെഖ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ ആസാഫിനെയും അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ മെരാര്യരിൽ കൂശായാവിന്റെ മകനായ ഏഥാനെയും

18 The second group of Levites consisted of Zechariah, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah; and the gatekeepers Obed-edom and Jeiel.

൧൮അവരോടുകൂടെ രണ്ടാം തരത്തിലെ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ സെഖര്യാവ്, ബേൻ, യാസീയേൽ, ശെമീരാമോത്ത്, യെഹീയേൽ, ഉന്നി, എലീയാബ്, ബെനായാവ്, മയസേയാവ്, മത്ഥിഥ്യാവ്, എലീഫെലേഹൂ, മിക്നേയാവ്, ഓബേദ്-ഏദോം, യെയീയേൽ എന്നിവരെ വാതിൽകാവല്ക്കാരായും നിയമിച്ചു.

19 The musicians Heman, Asaph, and Ethan were to strike the bronze cymbals;

൧൯സംഗീതക്കാരായ ഹേമാനും ആസാഫും ഏഥാനും താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കൈത്താളങ്ങൾ കൊട്ടുവാൻ നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടു

20 Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah were to play harps “according to alamoth,”

൨൦സെഖര്യാവ്, അസീയേൽ, ശെമീരാമോത്ത്, യെഹീയേൽ, ഉന്നി, എലീയാബ്, മയസേയാവ്, ബെനായാവ് എന്നിവർ അലാമോത്ത് രാഗത്തിൽ വീണകൾ വായിക്കുവാൻ നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.

21 while Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah were to lead the music with lyres “according to sheminith.”

൨൧മത്ഥിഥ്യവ്, എലീഫെലേഹൂ, മിക്നേയാവ്, ഓബേദ്-ഏദോം, യെയീയേൽ, അസസ്യാവ് എന്നിവർ ശെമീനീത്ത് രാഗത്തിൽ കിന്നരം വായിക്കുവാനും നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

22 Kenaniah, the leader of the Levites in singing, was chosen to lead the music because of his ability.

൨൨വാഹകന്മാരായ ലേവ്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ കെനന്യാവു പെട്ടകം വഹിക്കുന്നതിന് മേൽവിചാരകനായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അതിൽ സമർത്ഥനായിരുന്നു.

23 Berechiah and Elkanah were appointed to guard the Ark.

൨൩ബേരെഖ്യാവും എല്ക്കാനയും പെട്ടകത്തിന് വാതിൽകാവല്ക്കാർ ആയിരുന്നു.

24 Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests were to blow the trumpets in front of the Ark of God. Obed-edom and Jehiah were also appointed to guard the Ark.

൨൪ശെബന്യാവ്, യോശാഫാത്ത്, നെഥനയേൽ, അമാസായി, സെഖര്യാവ്, ബെനായാവ്, എലെയാസാർ എന്നീ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകത്തിന് മുമ്പിൽ കാഹളം ഊതി; ഓബേദ്-ഏദോമും യെഹീയാവും പെട്ടകത്തിന് വാതിൽകാവല്ക്കാർ ആയിരുന്നു.

25 Then David, the elders of Israel, and the senior army commanders, went with great celebration to bring back the Ark of the Lord's Agreement from the home of Obed-Edom.

൨൫ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദും യിസ്രായേൽ മൂപ്പന്മാരും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരും യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം ഓബേദ്-ഏദോമിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്ന് സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ പോയി.

26 Because God helped the Levites who carried the Ark of the Lord's Agreement, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.

൨൬യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ വാഹകന്മാരായ ലേവ്യരെ ദൈവം സഹായിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ ഏഴു കാളയെയും ഏഴു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

27 David wore a robe of fine linen like all the Levites who were carrying the Ark, and the singers and Kenaniah the leader of the music and singers. David also wore a linen ephod.

൨൭ദാവീദും പെട്ടകവാഹകന്മാരായ ലേവ്യർ ഒക്കെയും സംഗീതക്കാരും സംഗീതക്കാരോടുകൂടെ വാഹകപ്രമാണിയായ കെനന്യാവും പഞ്ഞിനൂൽ കൊണ്ടുള്ള അങ്കി ധരിച്ചു; ദാവീദ് പഞ്ഞിനൂൽ കൊണ്ടുള്ള എഫോദ് ധരിച്ചു.

28 So all of Israel brought back the Ark of the Lord's Agreement with a lot of shouting, accompanied by horns, trumpets, and cymbals, and music played on harps and lyres.

൨൮അങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേലൊക്കയും ആർപ്പോടും കാഹളനാദത്തോടും തൂര്യങ്ങളുടെയും കൈത്താളങ്ങളുടെയും ധ്വനിയോടുംകൂടി കിന്നരവും വീണയും വായിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

29 But as Ark of the Lord's Agreement entered the City of David, Saul's daughter Michal looked down from a window. Seeing David the king jumping and dancing for joy, she was full of contempt for him.

൨൯എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ശൌലിന്റെ മകളായ മീഖൾ കിളിവാതിലിൽകൂടി നോക്കി, ദാവീദ്‌ രാജാവ് നൃത്തം ചെയ്യുന്നതും പാടുന്നതും കണ്ടു ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അവനെ നിന്ദിച്ചു.
