< 1 Chronicles 14 >

1 Then Hiram, king of Tyre, sent messengers to David along with cedar timber, stonemasons, and carpenters to build him a palace.
Afei, Tirohene Huram somaa abɔfo ne abo adansifo ne nnua dwumfo kɔɔ Dawid nkyɛn sɛ, wonkosi ahemfi mma no. Afei, Huram san de sida nnua a wɔbɛpae kɔe.
2 In this way David realized that the Lord had placed him on the throne as king of Israel and had blessed by supporting his kingdom for the sake of the Lord's people Israel.
Na Dawid huu sɛ Awurade de no asi Israel so hene, na esiane Israel nti, wayɛ nʼahenni kɛse.

8 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all of Israel, they gathered their whole army to go after him. But David heard they were coming and went out to confront them.
Bere a Filistifo tee sɛ wɔasra Dawid ngo ama wadi Israel nyinaa so hene no, wɔboaboaa wɔn asraafo nyinaa ano sɛ, wɔrebɛkyere no. Na wɔka kyerɛɛ Dawid se wɔreba ne so, enti ɔno nso ne ne mmarima fii kurow no mu kohyiaa wɔn.
9 The Philistines arrived and raided the valley of Rephaim.
Na Filistifo no abedu Refaim bon asɛe hɔ pasaa.
10 David consulted God, asking “Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you make me victorious over them?” “Go ahead,” the Lord told him, “I will make you victorious over them.”
Enti Dawid bisaa Onyankopɔn se, “Mimpue na me ne Filistifo no nkɔko? Wode wɔn bɛhyɛ me nsa ana?” Awurade buae se, “Yiw, wo ne wɔn nkɔko, na mɛma woadi wɔn so nkonim.”
11 So David attacked and defeated them there at Baal-perazim. “God used me to defeat my enemies like a torrent of water that bursts out,” he declared. That's why the place was named Baal-perazim.
Enti Dawid ne nʼakofo kɔɔ Baal-Perasim kodii Filistifo no so wɔ hɔ. Dawid teɛɛ mu se, “Onyankopɔn ayɛ! Ɔnam me so ama mabɔ awura mʼatamfo mu te sɛ, nsuyiri a ano yɛ den.” Enti, wɔtoo beae hɔ din Baal-Perasim (a nkyerɛase ne sɛ “Awurade a ɔbɔ wura mu”).
12 The Philistines had left their gods behind, so David gave orders that they should be burned.
Filistifo no gyaw wɔn ahoni nyinaa hɔ nti, Dawid hyɛ ma wɔhyew ne nyinaa.
13 However, the Philistines returned and made another raid on the valley.
Nanso ankyɛ biara, Filistifo no san baa obon no mu bio bɛsɛee hɔ.
14 David consulted God again. “Don't make a frontal attack,” God told him. “Instead go around behind them and attack them in front of the balsam trees.
Dawid bisaa Onyankopɔn nea ɔnyɛ bio. Onyankopɔn buae se, “Nkɔ tee nkɔtow nhyɛ wɔn so. Mmom, fa wɔn ho kosi wɔn akyi na montow nhyɛ wɔn so wɔ baabi a ɛbɛn baka nnua no.
15 As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, go and attack for the Lord has gone before you to strike down the Philistine army.”
Na sɛ mote nnyigye bi te sɛ nnipa bi a wɔrebɔ nsra anan ase wɔ baka nnua no atifi a, montow nhyɛ wɔn so. Ɛno na ɛbɛyɛ nsɛnkyerɛnne a ɛkyerɛ sɛ, Onyankopɔn adi mo anim rekɔka Filistifo no agu.”
16 So David did what God told him, striking down the Philistine army all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.
Enti Dawid yɛɛ nea Onyankopɔn hyɛɛ no sɛ ɔnyɛ no, na ɔkaa Filistifo asraafo no guu fi Gibeon de kosii Geser.
17 As a result David's reputation was spread everywhere, and the Lord made all the nations afraid of David.
Na Dawid din hyetaa baabiara, na Awurade maa aman no nyinaa suroo Dawid.
