< Romans 10 >

1 Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is for their salvation.
Ariũ na aarĩ a Ithe witũ, ũndũ ũrĩa ngoro yakwa yendete mũno na ũrĩa hooyaga Ngai nĩ ũndũ wa andũ a Isiraeli nĩ atĩ mahonokio.
2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to real knowledge.
Nĩgũkorwo niĩ ndĩ mũira wao atĩ nĩ marĩ kĩyo ũhoro-inĩ wa Ngai, no kĩyo kĩu kĩao gĩkaaga ũmenyi.
3 For they, failing to understand God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to God's righteousness.
Na tondũ matiigana kũmenya ũthingu ũrĩa uumaga kũrĩ Ngai no nĩ kũgeria maageririe kwĩhaandĩra ũthingu wao ene-rĩ, matiigana kwĩnyiihĩria ũthingu wa Ngai.
4 Now for everyone who believes into righteousness, Christ is the end of the law
Nake Kristũ nĩwe wakinyirie ũhoro wa watho mũthia nĩgeetha kũgĩe na ũthingu kũrĩ mũndũ o wothe ũrĩa wĩtĩkĩtie.
5 —Moses writes about the righteousness that is from the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.”
Musa aataarĩirie ũhoro wa ũthingu ũrĩa uumanaga na watho na njĩra ĩno: “Mũndũ ũrĩa wĩkaga maũndũ macio arĩtũũragio muoyo nĩmo.”
6 But the righteousness that is from faith speaks like this: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down)
No rĩrĩ, ũthingu ũrĩa uumanaga na gwĩtĩkia uugaga atĩrĩ: “Ndũkaneyũrie na ngoro atĩrĩ, ‘Nũũ ũkwambata akinye igũrũ?’” (ũguo nĩ kuuga, agĩĩre Kristũ amũrehe gũkũ thĩ)
7 “or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). (Abyssos g12)
“o na ndũkeyũrie, ‘Nũũ ũkaaharũrũka irima rĩrĩa rĩtarĩ gĩturi?’” (ũguo nĩ kuuga, ambatie Kristũ kuuma kũrĩ arĩa akuũ). (Abyssos g12)
8 So what does it say? “The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the message of faith that we proclaim):
No ũhoro ũcio uugaga atĩa? Uugaga atĩrĩ, “Ũhoro ũrĩ o hakuhĩ nawe; ũrĩ o kanua-inĩ gaku, na ngoro-inĩ yaku,” naguo ũhoro ũcio nĩguo ũhoro wa wĩtĩkio ũrĩa tumbũraga:
9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Atĩ ũngiumbũra na kanua gaku atĩ, “Jesũ nĩ Mwathani,” o na gwĩtĩkia wĩtĩkie na ngoro yaku atĩ Ngai nĩamũriũkirie oime kũrĩ arĩa akuũ-rĩ, no ũhonoke.
10 Because with the heart one believes into righteousness, and with the mouth one promises into salvation.
Nĩgũkorwo mũndũ etĩkagia na ngoro yake, agatuuo mũthingu, na akoimbũra na kanua gake, agakĩhonokio.
11 Because the Scripture says: “Everyone who believes on Him will never be put to shame”;
Tondũ Maandĩko moigĩte atĩrĩ, “Ũrĩa wothe ũmwĩhokaga ndarĩ hĩndĩ agaaconorithio.”
12 because there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call upon Him;
Nĩgũkorwo gũtirĩ ngũũrani gatagatĩ ka Mũyahudi na mũndũ-wa-Ndũrĩrĩ: tondũ Mwathani o ũcio nĩwe Mwathani wa andũ othe, na nĩarathimaga mũno arĩa othe mamũkayagĩra;
13 because: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
nĩgũkorwo nĩ kwandĩke atĩrĩ, “Mũndũ wothe ũrĩa ũgaakaĩra rĩĩtwa rĩa Mwathani nĩakahonoka.”
14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe on Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without someone proclaiming it?
No rĩrĩ, mangĩmũkaĩra atĩa matamwĩtĩkĩtie? Na mangĩmwĩtĩkia atĩa matarĩ maigua ũhoro wake? Na mangĩkĩigua atĩa matarĩ na mũndũ wa kũmahunjĩria?
15 And how will they proclaim unless they are sent? As it is written: “How timely is the arrival of those who bring good news of peace, of those who announce the good things.”
Ningĩ andũ mangĩhota atĩa kũhunjia ũhoro matarĩ atũme? O ta ũrĩa kwandĩkĩtwo atĩrĩ, “Kaĩ magũrũ ma andũ arĩa mahunjagia Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega nĩmagĩrĩire-ĩ!”
16 (However, they did not all obey the gospel; because Isaiah says: “Lord, who has believed our message?”)
No rĩrĩ, ti andũ othe Isiraeli meetĩkĩrire Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega. Nĩgũkorwo Isaia oririe atĩrĩ, “Mwathani, nũũ wĩtĩkĩtie ũhoro witũ?”
17 So, the faith is from a message, and that message is by the Word of God.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, gwĩtĩkia kuumanaga na kũigua ũhoro, naguo ũhoro ũiguagwo na ũndũ wa kiugo gĩa Kristũ.
18 But I say, did they really not hear? Indeed yes: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, and their spoken words to the ends of the inhabited world.”
No ngũũria atĩrĩ: Matirĩ maigua Ũhoro? Hatirĩ nganja nĩmaiguĩte, tondũ Maandĩko mekuuga atĩrĩ: “Mũgambo wao nĩwahunjire thĩ yothe, nacio ciugo ciao igĩkinya ituri-inĩ ciothe cia thĩ.”
19 Again I say, did Israel really not know? First Moses says: “I will provoke you to jealousy by a non-nation, I will move you to anger by a senseless nation.”
Na ningĩ ngũũria atĩrĩ: Andũ a Isiraeli matiigana kũmenya ũguo? Atĩrĩ, Musa o mbere oigire atĩrĩ, “Nĩngatũma mũigue ũiru nĩ ũndũ wa rũrĩrĩ hatarĩ; nĩngatũma mũrakare nĩ ũndũ wa rũrĩrĩ rũtarĩ na ũmenyo!”
20 But Isaiah is so bold as to say: “I was found by those who were not seeking me; I was revealed to those who were not asking for me.”
Nake Isaia akiuga omĩrĩirie mũno atĩrĩ, “Andũ arĩa mataanjaragia nĩo maanyonire; ndeeguũrĩirie arĩa mataanjũũragĩrĩria.”
21 But concerning Israel he says: “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”
No ha ũhoro ũkoniĩ Isiraeli akoiga atĩrĩ, “Mũthenya wothe ndindaga ndambũrũkĩtie moko makwa kũrĩ andũ aremi, na a ngarari.”
