Matthew 4
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tested by the devil.
ସେତେବେଳେ ଯୀଶୁ ଶୟତାନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପରୀକ୍ଷିତ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ କର୍ତ୍ତୃକ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରକୁ ନୀତ ହେଲେ,
2 And having fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
ପୁଣି, ଚାଳିଶ ଦିନ ଓ ଚାଳିଶ ରାତ୍ରି ଉପବାସ କରି ଶେଷରେ କ୍ଷୁଧିତ ହେଲେ।
3 And coming to Him the tempter said, “Since you are the Son of God, command that these stones become loaves of bread.”
ଆଉ ପରୀକ୍ଷକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି କହିଲା, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେବେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର, ତେବେ ଏହି ପଥରଗୁଡ଼ାକ ରୁଟି ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅ।”
4 But in answer He said, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but by every word coming out of God's mouth.’”
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ଲେଖାଅଛି, ‘ମନୁଷ୍ୟ କେବଳ ରୁଟିରେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମୁଖରୁ ନିର୍ଗତ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ବାକ୍ୟରେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ।’”
5 Then the devil takes Him into the holy city and sets Him upon the pinnacle of the temple,
ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶୟତାନ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପବିତ୍ର ନଗରୀ ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ନେଇଯାଇ ମନ୍ଦିରର ଛାତ ଉପରେ ଠିଆ କରାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା,
6 and says to Him, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down; for it is written: ‘He will give orders to His angels about you, and they will lift you up on their hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
“ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର, ତେବେ ତଳକୁ ଡେଇଁପଡ଼, କାରଣ ଲେଖାଅଛି, ‘ସେ ଆପଣା ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେବେ, ଆଉ କାଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଦ ପଥରରେ ବାଜିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ହସ୍ତରେ ତୋଳି ଧରିବେ।’”
7 Jesus said to him, “It is also written: ‘You shall not test the Lord your God!’”
ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆହୁରି ଲେଖାଅଛି, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବ ନାହିଁ।’”
8 Again the devil takes Him to a very high mountain and shows Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
ପୁନଶ୍ଚ ଶୟତାନ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଅତି ଉଚ୍ଚ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରକୁ ନେଇଯାଇ ଜଗତର ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଓ ସେସବୁର ଐଶ୍ୱର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଦେଖାଇ କହିଲା,
9 And he says to Him, “All these things I will give to you, if You will fall down and worship me.”
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେବେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଭୂମିଷ୍ଠ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରିବ, ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦେବା।
10 Then Jesus says to him: “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written: ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.’”
ତହିଁରେ ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦୂର ହ, ଶୟତାନ, କାରଣ ଲେଖାଅଛି, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରିବ, ପୁଣି, କେବଳ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଉପାସନା କରିବ।’”
11 Then the devil leaves Him, and then, angels came and began ministering to Him.
ଏଥିରେ ଶୟତାନ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଚାଲିଗଲା, ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଦୂତମାନେ ଆସି ତାହାଙ୍କର ସେବା କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
12 Now hearing that John had been put in prison, Jesus departed into Galilee.
ପରେ ଯୋହନ ଧରାପଡ଼ିଲେଣି ବୋଲି ଶୁଣି ସେ ଅନ୍ତର ହୋଇ ଗାଲିଲୀକୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କଲେ;
13 And leaving Natsareth behind, He went and took up residence in Capernaum by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali;
ଆଉ ସେ ନାଜରିତ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ସବୂଲୂନ ଓ ନପ୍ତାଲି ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଥିବା ସମୁଦ୍ର କୂଳସ୍ଥିତ କଫର୍ନାହୂମକୁ ଯାଇ ସେଠାରେ ବାସ କଲେ,
14 so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet should be fulfilled, namely:
ଯେପରି ଯିଶାଇୟ ଭାବବାଦୀଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉକ୍ତ ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ସଫଳ ହୁଏ,
15 “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations!
“ସବୂଲୂନ ଦେଶ ଓ ନପ୍ତାଲି ଦେଶ, ସମୁଦ୍ର ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଓ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନଦୀର ଅପର ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱସ୍ଥ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଗାଲିଲୀ,
16 The people sitting in darkness saw a great light, and upon those sitting in the place and shadow of death light has dawned.”
ଅନ୍ଧକାରବାସୀ ଲୋକେ ମହା ଆଲୋକ ଦର୍ଶନ କଲେ, ଆଉ ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଓ ଛାୟାରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆଲୋକ ଉଦିତ ହେଲା।”
17 From then on Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has come near.”
ସେହି ସମୟଠାରୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଘୋଷଣା କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, “ମନ-ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କର, କାରଣ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ସନ୍ନିକଟ।”
18 And walking by the Sea of Galilee He saw two brothers, Simon (the one called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a circular net into the sea (for they were fishermen).
ସେ ଗାଲିଲୀ ସମୁଦ୍ରକୂଳରେ ବୁଲୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଶିମୋନ, ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ପିତର ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭାଇ ଆନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟ, ଏହି ଦୁଇ ଭାଇଙ୍କୁ ସମୁଦ୍ରରେ ଭଉଁରୀଜାଲ ପକାଉଥିବା ଦେଖିଲେ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ମତ୍ସ୍ୟଜୀବୀ ଥିଲେ।
19 And He says to them, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.”
ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୋହର ଅନୁଗମନ କର, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଧରିବା ଶିଖାଇବି।”
20 So leaving the nets immediately they followed Him.
ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ସେହିକ୍ଷଣି ଜାଲ ଛାଡ଼ି ତାହାଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗମନ କଲେ।
21 And going on from there He saw two other brothers, James (the one of Zebedee) and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. And He called them.
ପୁଣି, ସେ ସେଠାରୁ ଆଗକୁ ଯାଇ ଜେବଦୀଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯାକୁବ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭାଇ ଯୋହନ ନାମକ ଆଉ ଦୁଇ ଭାଇଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପିତା ଜେବଦୀଙ୍କ ସହିତ ନୌକାରେ ଜାଲ ସଜାଡ଼ୁଥିବା ଦେଖି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲେ।
22 So leaving the boat and their father immediately they followed Him.
ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ସେହିକ୍ଷଣି ନୌକା ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ତାହାଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗମନ କଲେ।
23 Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every illness among the people.
ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମାଜଗୃହ ସମୂହରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ ରାଜ୍ୟର ସୁସମାଚାର ଘୋଷଣା କରି ଏବଂ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ରୋଗ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ପୀଡ଼ା ସୁସ୍ଥ କରି ସମୁଦାୟ ଗାଲିଲୀରେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ,
24 So His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were sick—suffering with various diseases and torments, and being demonized and being moonstruck, and paralytics—and He healed them.
ଆଉ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଜନରବ ସମୁଦାୟ ସିରିୟା ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବ୍ୟାପିଗଲା, ପୁଣି, ଲୋକେ ଭୂତଗ୍ରସ୍ତ, ମୃଗୀରୋଗୀ ଓ ପକ୍ଷାଘାତରୋଗୀ ଆଦି ନାନା ପ୍ରକାର ରୋଗରେ ପୀଡ଼ିତ ଓ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣାଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ, ଆଉ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କଲେ।
25 So large crowds followed Him—from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and beyond the Jordan.
ପୁଣି, ଗାଲିଲୀ, ଦେକାପଲି, ଯିରୂଶାଲମ, ଯିହୂଦିୟା ପ୍ରଦେଶ ଓ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନଦୀର ଅପର ପାରିରୁ ବହୁସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଲୋକ ଆସି ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ଗମନ କଲେ।
