Matthew 19
1 Now it happened, when Jesus had finished these words, that He departed from Galilee and went to the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan.
Y aconteció, que acabando Jesús estas palabras, se retiró de Galilea, y vino a los términos de Judea, pasado el Jordán.
2 And large crowds followed Him and there He healed them.
Y le siguieron grandes multitudes, y los sanó allí.
3 The Pharisees also came to Him to test Him, saying to Him, “Is it permissible for a man to divorce his wife for just any cause?”
Entonces se llegaron a él los Fariseos, tentándole, y diciéndole: ¿Es lícito al hombre despedir a su mujer por cualquiera causa?
4 So in answer He said to them: “Have you never read that the Creator at the beginning made them a male and a female?
Y él respondiendo, les dijo: ¿No habéis leído que el que los hizo al principio, macho y hembra los hizo,
5 And He said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall be turned into one flesh.’
Y dijo: Por tanto el hombre dejará padre y madre, y se unirá a su mujer, y serán dos en una carne?
6 So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God joined together let not man separate!”
Así que no son ya más dos, sino una carne. Por tanto lo que Dios juntó, no lo aparte el hombre.
7 They say to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce and to dismiss her?”
Dícenle: ¿Por qué pues Moisés mandó dar carta de divorcio, y despedirla?
8 He says to them: “Because of your hard-heartedness Moses permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
Díjoles: Por la dureza de vuestro corazón Moisés os permitió despedir vuestras mujeres; mas al principio no fue así.
9 And I say to you that whoever divorces his wife, except for fornication, and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries a divorcee commits adultery.”
Y yo os digo, que cualquiera que despidiere a su mujer, sino fuere por fornicación, y se casare con otra, adultera; y el que se casare con la despedida, adultera.
10 His disciples say to Him, “If that's the situation of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry!”
Dícenle sus discípulos: Si así es la condición del hombre con su mujer, no conviene casarse.
11 So He said to them: “Not all can assimilate this word, but those to whom it has been given.
Entonces él les dijo: No todos son capaces de recibir este dicho: sino aquellos a quien es dado.
12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, from their mother's womb; and there are eunuchs who were castrated by men; and there are eunuchs who castrated themselves for the sake of the kingdom of the heavens. He who is able to assimilate it, let him assimilate.”
Porque hay eunucos, que nacieron así del vientre de su madre; y hay eunucos, que han sido hechos eunucos por los hombres; y hay eunucos, que se han hecho eunucos a sí mismos por causa del reino de los cielos. El que puede recibir lo, recíba lo.
13 Then little children were brought to Him, that He might lay hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked them.
Entonces le fueron presentados unos niños, para que pusiese las manos sobre ellos, y orase; y los discípulos les riñeron.
14 So Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens.”
Mas Jesús dijo: Dejád a los niños, y no les impidáis de venir a mí; porque de los tales es el reino de los cielos.
15 And after laying hands on them He moved on from there.
Y habiendo puesto sobre ellos las manos, se partió de allí.
16 And then, a certain one came and said to Him, “Good teacher, what good thing must I do so that I may have eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
Y, he aquí, uno llegándose, le dijo: Maestro bueno, ¿qué bien haré, para tener la vida eterna? (aiōnios g166)
17 But He said to him: “Why do you call me good? No one is good except One, God. But if you want to enter into the life, keep the commandments.”
Y él le dijo: ¿Por qué me dices bueno? Ninguno es bueno sino uno, es a saber, Dios. Mas si quieres entrar en la vida, guarda los mandamientos.
18 He says to Him, “Which ones?” So Jesus said: “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not give false witness,’
Dícele: ¿Cuáles? Y Jesús dijo: No matarás: No adulterarás: No hurtarás: No dirás falso testimonio:
19 ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Honra a tu padre y a tu madre: Y, amarás a tu prójimo, como a ti mismo.
20 The young man says to Him: “I have kept all these things since my youth. What do I still lack?”
Dícele el mancebo: Todo esto guardé desde mi mocedad: ¿Qué más me falta?
21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come follow me.”
Dícele Jesús: Si quieres ser perfecto, anda, vende lo que tienes, y da lo a los pobres; y tendrás tesoro en el cielo; y ven, y sígueme.
22 So upon hearing that word the young man went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
Y oyendo el mancebo esta palabra, se fue triste; porque tenía muchas posesiones.
23 Then Jesus said to His disciples: “Assuredly I say to you that only with difficulty will a rich person enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
Entonces Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: De cierto os digo, que el rico dificilmente entrará en el reino de los cielos.
24 And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of God.”
Y además os digo, que más fácil es pasar un camello por el ojo de una aguja, que el rico entrar en el reino de Dios.
25 Upon hearing it His disciples were really flabbergasted saying, “Who then can be saved?”
Sus discípulos oyendo estas cosas se espantaron en gran manera, diciendo: ¿Quién pues podrá ser salvo?
26 So looking at them Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Y mirándo los Jesús, les dijo: Acerca de los hombres imposible es esto: mas acerca de Dios todo es posible.
27 Then Peter answered and said to Him: “See, we have left all and followed you. So what will we have?”
Entonces respondiendo Pedro, le dijo: He aquí, nosotros hemos dejado todo, y te hemos seguido, ¿qué pues tendremos?
28 So Jesus said to them: “Assuredly I say to you that in the Regeneration, when the Son of the Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Y Jesús les dijo: De cierto os digo, que vosotros que me habéis seguido, cuando en la regeneración se asentará el Hijo del hombre en el trono de su gloria, vosotros también os sentaréis sobre doce tronos, para juzgar a las doce tribus de Israel.
29 And, everyone who left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my name's sake will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
Y cualquiera que dejare casas, o hermanos, o hermanas, o padre, o madre, o mujer, o hijos, o tierras, por mi nombre, recibirá cien veces tanto, y la vida eterna tendrá por herencia. (aiōnios g166)
30 But many ‘first’ will be last, and ‘last’ first.
Mas muchos que son primeros serán postreros; y los postreros, primeros.
