Mark 14
1 It was two days before the Passover and the Unleavened Bread. The chief priests and the scribes were looking for an underhanded way to seize and kill Him.
ததா³ நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவகிண்வஹீநபூபோத்ஸவயோராரம்ப⁴ஸ்ய தி³நத்³வயே (அ)வஸி²ஷ்டே ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா அத்⁴யாபகாஸ்²ச கேநாபி ச²லேந யீஸு²ம்’ த⁴ர்த்தாம்’ ஹந்துஞ்ச ம்ரு’க³யாஞ்சக்ரிரே;
2 But they said, “Not during the feast, or the people may riot.”
கிந்து லோகாநாம்’ கலஹப⁴யாதூ³சிரே, நசோத்ஸவகால உசிதமேததி³தி|
3 Being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He was reclining at a meal, a woman came having an alabaster vase of very costly perfume of pure nard. Then she broke the vase and began to pour it over His head.
அநந்தரம்’ பை³த²நியாபுரே ஸி²மோநகுஷ்டி²நோ க்³ரு’ஹே யோஸௌ² போ⁴த்குமுபவிஷ்டே ஸதி காசித்³ யோஷித் பாண்ட³ரபாஷாணஸ்ய ஸம்புடகேந மஹார்க்⁴யோத்தமதைலம் ஆநீய ஸம்புடகம்’ ப⁴ம்’க்த்வா தஸ்யோத்தமாங்கே³ தைலதா⁴ராம்’ பாதயாஞ்சக்ரே|
4 But there were some who were expressing indignation to one another and saying: “To what purpose was this perfume wasted?
தஸ்மாத் கேசித் ஸ்வாந்தே குப்யந்த: கதி²தவம்’ந்த: குதோயம்’ தைலாபவ்யய: ?
5 It could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor!” And they started censuring her.
யத்³யேதத் தைல வ்யக்ரேஷ்யத தர்ஹி முத்³ராபாத³ஸ²தத்ரயாத³ப்யதி⁴கம்’ தஸ்ய ப்ராப்தமூல்யம்’ த³ரித்³ரலோகேப்⁴யோ தா³துமஸ²க்ஷ்யத, கதா²மேதாம்’ கத²யித்வா தயா யோஷிதா ஸாகம்’ வாசாயுஹ்யந்|
6 But Jesus said: “Leave her alone! Why are you bothering her? She has done something useful to me.
கிந்து யீஸு²ருவாச, குத ஏதஸ்யை க்ரு’ச்ச்²ரம்’ த³தா³ஸி? மஹ்யமியம்’ கர்ம்மோத்தமம்’ க்ரு’தவதீ|
7 You will always have the poor with you, and whenever you wish you can do them good; but you will not always have me.
த³ரித்³ரா: ஸர்வ்வதா³ யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ஸஹ திஷ்ட²ந்தி, தஸ்மாத்³ யூயம்’ யதே³ச்ச²த² ததை³வ தாநுபகர்த்தாம்’ ஸ²க்நுத², கிந்த்வஹம்’ யுபா⁴பி⁴: ஸஹ நிரந்தரம்’ ந திஷ்டா²மி|
8 She did what she could. She has perfumed my body for the burying before the fact.
அஸ்யா யதா²ஸாத்⁴யம்’ ததை²வாகரோதி³யம்’, ஸ்²மஸா²நயாபநாத் பூர்வ்வம்’ ஸமேத்ய மத்³வபுஷி தைலம் அமர்த்³த³யத்|
9 Assuredly I tell you, wherever this Gospel may be proclaimed throughout the whole world, what she has done will also be told as a memorial to her.”
அஹம்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ கத²யாமி, ஜக³தாம்’ மத்⁴யே யத்ர யத்ர ஸுஸம்’வாதோ³யம்’ ப்ரசாரயிஷ்யதே தத்ர தத்ர யோஷித ஏதஸ்யா: ஸ்மரணார்த²ம்’ தத்க்ரு’தகர்ம்மைதத் ப்ரசாரயிஷ்யதே|
10 Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went off to the chief priests, so as to betray Him to them.
தத: பரம்’ த்³வாத³ஸா²நாம்’ ஸி²ஷ்யாணாமேக ஈஷ்கரியோதீயயிஹூதா³க்²யோ யீஸு²ம்’ பரகரேஷு ஸமர்பயிதும்’ ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகாநாம்’ ஸமீபமியாய|
11 Well upon hearing it they rejoiced and promised to give him silver coins. So he started figuring how he might conveniently betray Him.
தே தஸ்ய வாக்யம்’ ஸமாகர்ண்ய ஸந்துஷ்டா: ஸந்தஸ்தஸ்மை முத்³ரா தா³தும்’ ப்ரத்யஜாநத; தஸ்மாத் ஸ தம்’ தேஷாம்’ கரேஷு ஸமர்பணாயோபாயம்’ ம்ரு’க³யாமாஸ|
12 Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they would sacrifice the Paschal lamb, His disciples said to Him, “Where do you want us to go and prepare, so that you may eat the Passover?”
அநந்தரம்’ கிண்வஸூ²ந்யபூபோத்ஸவஸ்ய ப்ரத²மே(அ)ஹநி நிஸ்தாரோத்மவார்த²ம்’ மேஷமாரணாஸமயே ஸி²ஷ்யாஸ்தம்’ பப்ரச்ச²: குத்ர க³த்வா வயம்’ நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவஸ்ய போ⁴ஜ்யமாஸாத³யிஷ்யாம: ? கிமிச்ச²தி ப⁴வாந்?
13 So He sent two of His disciples, saying to them: “Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a clay jar of water; follow him.
ததா³நீம்’ ஸ தேஷாம்’ த்³வயம்’ ப்ரேரயந் ப³பா⁴ஷே யுவயோ: புரமத்⁴யம்’ க³தயோ: ஸதோ ர்யோ ஜந: ஸஜலகும்ப⁴ம்’ வஹந் யுவாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத் கரிஷ்யதி தஸ்யைவ பஸ்²சாத்³ யாதம்’;
14 Wherever he goes in, say to the master of the house, ‘The teacher says, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’
ஸ யத் ஸத³நம்’ ப்ரவேக்ஷ்யதி தத்³ப⁴வநபதிம்’ வத³தம்’, கு³ருராஹ யத்ர ஸஸி²ஷ்யோஹம்’ நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவீயம்’ போ⁴ஜநம்’ கரிஷ்யாமி, ஸா போ⁴ஜநஸா²லா குத்ராஸ்தி?
15 He will show you a large upper room, furnished and ready; there prepare for us.”
தத: ஸ பரிஷ்க்ரு’தாம்’ ஸுஸஜ்ஜிதாம்’ ப்³ரு’ஹதீசஞ்ச யாம்’ ஸா²லாம்’ த³ர்ஸ²யிஷ்யதி தஸ்யாமஸ்மத³ர்த²ம்’ போ⁴ஜ்யத்³ரவ்யாண்யாஸாத³யதம்’|
16 So His disciples set out and came into the city and found it just as He had said to them; and they prepared the Passover.
தத: ஸி²ஷ்யௌ ப்ரஸ்தா²ய புரம்’ ப்ரவிஸ்²ய ஸ யதோ²க்தவாந் ததை²வ ப்ராப்ய நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவஸ்ய போ⁴ஜ்யத்³ரவ்யாணி ஸமாஸாத³யேதாம்|
17 When it was evening He came with the twelve.
அநந்தரம்’ யீஸு²: ஸாயம்’காலே த்³வாத³ஸ²பி⁴: ஸி²ஷ்யை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ஜகா³ம;
18 Now as they were reclining and eating, Jesus said, “Assuredly I tell you, one of you who is eating with me will betray me.”
ஸர்வ்வேஷு போ⁴ஜநாய ப்ரோபவிஷ்டேஷு ஸ தாநுதி³தவாந் யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ வ்யாஹராமி, அத்ர யுஷ்மாகமேகோ ஜநோ யோ மயா ஸஹ பு⁴ம்’க்தே மாம்’ பரகேரேஷு ஸமர்பயிஷ்யதே|
19 So they began to be sorrowful and to say to Him one by one, “Surely not I?” And another, “Surely not I?”
ததா³நீம்’ தே து³: கி²தா: ஸந்த ஏகைகஸ²ஸ்தம்’ ப்ரஷ்டுமாரப்³த⁴வந்த: ஸ கிமஹம்’? பஸ்²சாத்³ அந்ய ஏகோபி⁴த³தே⁴ ஸ கிமஹம்’?
20 He answered and said to them: “It is one of the twelve, the one dipping with me in the bowl.
தத: ஸ ப்ரத்யவத³த்³ ஏதேஷாம்’ த்³வாத³ஸா²நாம்’ யோ ஜநோ மயா ஸமம்’ போ⁴ஜநாபாத்ரே பாணிம்’ மஜ்ஜயிஷ்யதி ஸ ஏவ|
21 The Son of the Man is indeed going just as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of the Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man not to have been born.”
மநுஜதநயமதி⁴ யாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ லிகி²தமாஸ்தே தத³நுரூபா க³திஸ்தஸ்ய ப⁴விஷ்யதி, கிந்து யோ ஜநோ மாநவஸுதம்’ ஸமர்பயிஷ்யதே ஹந்த தஸ்ய ஜந்மாபா⁴வே ஸதி ப⁴த்³ரமப⁴விஷ்யத்|
22 As they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, gave it to them and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
அபரஞ்ச தேஷாம்’ போ⁴ஜநஸமயே யீஸு²: பூபம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வேஸ்²வரகு³ணாந் அநுகீர்த்ய ப⁴ங்க்த்வா தேப்⁴யோ த³த்த்வா ப³பா⁴ஷே, ஏதத்³ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா பு⁴ஞ்ஜீத்⁴வம் ஏதந்மம விக்³ரஹரூபம்’|
23 Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank it.
அநந்தரம்’ ஸ கம்’ஸம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வேஸ்²வரஸ்ய கு³ணாந் கீர்த்தயித்வா தேப்⁴யோ த³தௌ³, ததஸ்தே ஸர்வ்வே பபு: |
24 And He said to them: “This is my blood, that of the new covenant, that is being shed for many.
அபரம்’ ஸ தாநவாதீ³த்³ ப³ஹூநாம்’ நிமித்தம்’ பாதிதம்’ மம நவீநநியமரூபம்’ ஸோ²ணிதமேதத்|
25 I tell you assuredly that I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the Kingdom of God.”
யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ வதா³மி, ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ராஜ்யே யாவத் ஸத்³யோஜாதம்’ த்³ராக்ஷாரஸம்’ ந பாஸ்யாமி, தாவத³ஹம்’ த்³ராக்ஷாப²லரஸம்’ புந ர்ந பாஸ்யாமி|
26 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
தத³நந்தரம்’ தே கீ³தமேகம்’ ஸம்’கீ³ய ப³ஹி ர்ஜைதுநம்’ ஸி²க²ரிணம்’ யயு:
27 Then Jesus said to them: “All of you will be caused to stumble because of me this night, because it is written: ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’
அத² யீஸு²ஸ்தாநுவாச நிஸா²யாமஸ்யாம்’ மயி யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ ப்ரத்யூஹோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி யதோ லிகி²தமாஸ்தே யதா², மேஷாணாம்’ ரக்ஷகஞ்சாஹம்’ ப்ரஹரிஷ்யாமி வை தத: | மேஷாணாம்’ நிவஹோ நூநம்’ ப்ரவிகீர்ணோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
28 But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.”
கந்து மது³த்தா²நே ஜாதே யுஷ்மாகமக்³ரே(அ)ஹம்’ கா³லீலம்’ வ்ரஜிஷ்யாமி|
29 But Peter said to Him, “Even if all are caused to stumble, yet not I.”
ததா³ பிதர: ப்ரதிப³பா⁴ஷே, யத்³யபி ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ ப்ரத்யூஹோ ப⁴வதி ததா²பி மம நைவ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
30 Jesus said to him, “I tell you assuredly that you, today, this very night, before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”
ததோ யீஸு²ருக்தாவாந் அஹம்’ துப்⁴யம்’ தத்²யம்’ கத²யாமி, க்ஷணாதா³யாமத்³ய குக்குடஸ்ய த்³விதீயவாரரவணாத் பூர்வ்வம்’ த்வம்’ வாரத்ரயம்’ மாமபஹ்நோஷ்யஸே|
31 But he insisted even more vehemently, “If I have to die with you, I will absolutely not deny you!” And all the others said the same.
கிந்து ஸ கா³ட⁴ம்’ வ்யாஹரத்³ யத்³யபி த்வயா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ மம ப்ராணோ யாதி ததா²பி கத²மபி த்வாம்’ நாபஹ்நோஷ்யே; ஸர்வ்வே(அ)பீதரே ததை²வ ப³பா⁴ஷிரே|
32 Then they came to a place that was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”
அபரஞ்ச தேஷு கே³த்ஸி²மாநீநாமகம்’ ஸ்தா²ந க³தேஷு ஸ ஸி²ஷ்யாந் ஜகா³த³, யாவத³ஹம்’ ப்ரார்த²யே தாவத³த்ர ஸ்தா²நே யூயம்’ ஸமுபவிஸ²த|
33 But He took with Him Peter, James and John, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.
அத² ஸ பிதரம்’ யாகூப³ம்’ யோஹநஞ்ச க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா வவ்ராஜ; அத்யந்தம்’ த்ராஸிதோ வ்யாகுலிதஸ்²ச தேப்⁴ய: கத²யாமாஸ,
34 And He said to them: “My soul is overwhelmed with grief, to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch.”
நித⁴நகாலவத் ப்ராணோ மே(அ)தீவ த³: க²மேதி, யூயம்’ ஜாக்³ரதோத்ர ஸ்தா²நே திஷ்ட²த|
35 Going on a little, He fell to the ground and started praying that if it were possible the hour might pass from Him.
தத: ஸ கிஞ்சித்³தூ³ரம்’ க³த்வா பூ⁴மாவதோ⁴முக²: பதித்வா ப்ரார்தி²தவாநேதத், யதி³ ப⁴விதும்’ ஸ²க்யம்’ தர்ஹி து³: க²ஸமயோயம்’ மத்தோ தூ³ரீப⁴வது|
36 And He said: “Abba (Father), all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me; yet not what I will, but what you will.”
அபரமுதி³தவாந் ஹே பித ர்ஹே பித: ஸர்வ்வேம்’ த்வயா ஸாத்⁴யம்’, ததோ ஹேதோரிமம்’ கம்’ஸம்’ மத்தோ தூ³ரீகுரு, கிந்து தந் மமேச்சா²தோ ந தவேச்சா²தோ ப⁴வது|
37 Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter: “Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn't you keep watch for even one hour?
தத: பரம்’ ஸ ஏத்ய தாந் நித்³ரிதாந் நிரீக்ஷ்ய பிதரம்’ ப்ரோவாச, ஸி²மோந் த்வம்’ கிம்’ நித்³ராஸி? க⁴டிகாமேகாம் அபி ஜாக³ரிதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோஷி?
38 Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
பரீக்ஷாயாம்’ யதா² ந பதத² தத³ர்த²ம்’ ஸசேதநா: ஸந்த: ப்ரார்த²யத்⁴வம்’; மந உத்³யுக்தமிதி ஸத்யம்’ கிந்து வபுரஸ²க்திகம்’|
39 Again He went away and prayed, saying the same thing.
அத² ஸ புநர்வ்ரஜித்வா பூர்வ்வவத் ப்ரார்த²யாஞ்சக்ரே|
40 And when He returned He found them sleeping again, because their eyes were being weighed down; and they did not know how to answer Him.
பராவ்ரு’த்யாக³த்ய புநரபி தாந் நித்³ரிதாந் த³த³ர்ஸ² ததா³ தேஷாம்’ லோசநாநி நித்³ரயா பூர்ணாநி, தஸ்மாத்தஸ்மை கா கதா² கத²யிதவ்யா த ஏதத்³ போ³த்³து⁴ம்’ ந ஸே²கு: |
41 Then He came the third time and said to them: “You are still sleeping and resting! It is enough, the hour has come; yes, the Son of the Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.
தத: பரம்’ த்ரு’தீயவாரம்’ ஆக³த்ய தேப்⁴யோ (அ)கத²யத்³ இதா³நீமபி ஸ²யித்வா விஸ்²ராம்யத²? யதே²ஷ்டம்’ ஜாதம்’, ஸமயஸ்²சோபஸ்தி²த: பஸ்²யத மாநவதநய: பாபிலோகாநாம்’ பாணிஷு ஸமர்ப்யதே|
42 Get up, let's be going. See, my betrayer has approached.”
உத்திஷ்ட²த, வயம்’ வ்ரஜாமோ யோ ஜநோ மாம்’ பரபாணிஷு ஸமர்பயிஷ்யதே பஸ்²யத ஸ ஸமீபமாயாத: |
43 And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, arrived, and with him a considerable crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
இமாம்’ கதா²ம்’ கத²யதி ஸ, ஏதர்ஹித்³வாத³ஸா²நாமேகோ யிஹூதா³ நாமா ஸி²ஷ்ய: ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகாநாம் உபாத்⁴யாயாநாம்’ ப்ராசீநலோகாநாஞ்ச ஸந்நிதே⁴: க²ங்க³லகு³ட³தா⁴ரிணோ ப³ஹுலோகாந் க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா தஸ்ய ஸமீப உபஸ்தி²தவாந்|
44 Now His betrayer had given them a signal, saying, “Whomever I kiss, he it is; seize him and take him away securely.”
அபரஞ்சாஸௌ பரபாணிஷு ஸமர்பயிதா பூர்வ்வமிதி ஸங்கேதம்’ க்ரு’தவாந் யமஹம்’ சும்பி³ஷ்யாமி ஸ ஏவாஸௌ தமேவ த்⁴ரு’த்வா ஸாவதா⁴நம்’ நயத|
45 So upon arriving he went directly to Him and said to Him, “Rabbi, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.
அதோ ஹேதோ: ஸ ஆக³த்யைவ யோஸோ²: ஸவித⁴ம்’ க³த்வா ஹே கு³ரோ ஹே கு³ரோ, இத்யுக்த்வா தம்’ சுசும்ப³|
46 So they laid their hands on Him and secured Him.
ததா³ தே தது³பரி பாணீநர்பயித்வா தம்’ த³த்⁴நு: |
47 But a certain one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
ததஸ்தஸ்ய பார்ஸ்²வஸ்தா²நாம்’ லோகாநாமேக: க²ங்க³ம்’ நிஷ்கோஷயந் மஹாயாஜகஸ்ய தா³ஸமேகம்’ ப்ரஹ்ரு’த்ய தஸ்ய கர்ணம்’ சிச்சே²த³|
48 Then Jesus reacted by saying to them: “You have come out with swords and clubs to arrest me, as if I were a bandit.
பஸ்²சாத்³ யீஸு²ஸ்தாந் வ்யாஜஹார க²ங்கா³ந் லகு³டா³ம்’ஸ்²ச க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா மாம்’ கிம்’ சௌரம்’ த⁴ர்த்தாம்’ ஸமாயாதா: ?
49 I was with you daily in the temple, teaching, and you did not seize me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.”
மத்⁴யேமந்தி³ரம்’ ஸமுபதி³ஸ²ந் ப்ரத்யஹம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ஸஹ ஸ்தி²தவாநதஹம்’, தஸ்மிந் காலே யூயம்’ மாம்’ நாதீ³த⁴ரத, கிந்த்வநேந ஸா²ஸ்த்ரீயம்’ வசநம்’ ஸேத⁴நீயம்’|
50 Then they all deserted Him and ran away.
ததா³ ஸர்வ்வே ஸி²ஷ்யாஸ்தம்’ பரித்யஜ்ய பலாயாஞ்சக்ரிரே|
51 Now a certain young man had followed Him, having a linen cloth thrown around his naked body. The young men grabbed him,
அதை²கோ யுவா மாநவோ நக்³நகாயே வஸ்த்ரமேகம்’ நிதா⁴ய தஸ்ய பஸ்²சாத்³ வ்ரஜந் யுவலோகை ர்த்⁴ரு’தோ
52 so leaving the linen cloth he fled from them naked.
வஸ்த்ரம்’ விஹாய நக்³ந: பலாயாஞ்சக்ரே|
53 They led Jesus away to the high priest; and with him were assembled all the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes.
அபரஞ்ச யஸ்மிந் ஸ்தா²நே ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா உபாத்⁴யாயா: ப்ராசீநலோகாஸ்²ச மஹாயாஜகேந ஸஹ ஸத³ஸி ஸ்தி²தாஸ்தஸ்மிந் ஸ்தா²நே மஹாயாஜகஸ்ய ஸமீபம்’ யீஸு²ம்’ நிந்யு: |
54 Well Peter had followed Him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest; and he was sitting with the operatives and warming himself at the fire.
பிதரோ தூ³ரே தத்பஸ்²சாத்³ இத்வா மஹாயாஜகஸ்யாட்டாலிகாம்’ ப்ரவிஸ்²ய கிங்கரை: ஸஹோபவிஸ்²ய வஹ்நிதாபம்’ ஜக்³ராஹ|
55 Now the chief priests and the whole council were seeking testimony against Jesus so as to kill Him, but were not finding any.
ததா³நீம்’ ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா மந்த்ரிணஸ்²ச யீஸு²ம்’ கா⁴தயிதும்’ தத்ப்ராதிகூல்யேந ஸாக்ஷிணோ ம்ரு’க³யாஞ்சக்ரிரே, கிந்து ந ப்ராப்தா: |
56 To be sure, many were testifying falsely against Him, but their statements did not agree.
அநேகைஸ்தத்³விருத்³த⁴ம்’ ம்ரு’ஷாஸாக்ஷ்யே த³த்தேபி தேஷாம்’ வாக்யாநி ந ஸமக³ச்ச²ந்த|
57 Then some stood up and started testifying falsely against Him, saying,
ஸர்வ்வஸே²ஷே கியந்த உத்தா²ய தஸ்ய ப்ராதிகூல்யேந ம்ரு’ஷாஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ த³த்த்வா கத²யாமாஸு: ,
58 “We heard him saying: ‘I will destroy this temple made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.’”
இத³ம்’ கரக்ரு’தமந்தி³ரம்’ விநாஸ்²ய தி³நத்ரயமத்⁴யே புநரபரம் அகரக்ரு’தம்’ மந்தி³ரம்’ நிர்ம்மாஸ்யாமி, இதி வாக்யம் அஸ்ய முகா²த் ஸ்²ருதமஸ்மாபி⁴ரிதி|
59 But not even then did their testimony agree.
கிந்து தத்ராபி தேஷாம்’ ஸாக்ஷ்யகதா² ந ஸங்கா³தா: |
60 Then the high priest stood up in the center and questioned Jesus, saying: “Are you not going to answer? What are these testifying against you?”
அத² மஹாயாஜகோ மத்⁴யேஸப⁴ம் உத்தா²ய யீஸு²ம்’ வ்யாஜஹார, ஏதே ஜநாஸ்த்வயி யத் ஸாக்ஷ்யமது³: த்வமேதஸ்ய கிமப்யுத்தரம்’ கிம்’ ந தா³ஸ்யஸி?
61 But He remained silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest questioned Him and said to Him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”
கிந்து ஸ கிமப்யுத்தரம்’ ந த³த்வா மௌநீபூ⁴ய தஸ்யௌ; ததோ மஹாயாஜக: புநரபி தம்’ ப்ரு’ஷ்டாவாந் த்வம்’ ஸச்சிதா³நந்த³ஸ்ய தநயோ (அ)பி⁴ஷிக்தஸ்த்ரதா?
62 So Jesus said: “I am, and you will see the Son of the Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of the heaven.”
ததா³ யீஸு²ஸ்தம்’ ப்ரோவாச ப⁴வாம்யஹம் யூயஞ்ச ஸர்வ்வஸ²க்திமதோ த³க்ஷீணபார்ஸ்²வே ஸமுபவிஸ²ந்தம்’ மேக⁴ மாருஹ்ய ஸமாயாந்தஞ்ச மநுஷ்யபுத்ரம்’ ஸந்த்³ரக்ஷ்யத²|
63 Then the high priest tore his clothes and said: “What further need do we have of witnesses?
ததா³ மஹாயாஜக: ஸ்வம்’ வமநம்’ சி²த்வா வ்யாவஹரத்
64 You heard the blasphemy! What do you think?” They all condemned Him to be deserving of death.
கிமஸ்மாகம்’ ஸாக்ஷிபி⁴: ப்ரயோஜநம்? ஈஸ்²வரநிந்தா³வாக்யம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரஸ்²ராவி கிம்’ விசாரயத²? ததா³நீம்’ ஸர்வ்வே ஜக³து³ரயம்’ நித⁴நத³ண்ட³மர்ஹதி|
65 Then some began to spit on Him, to cover His face, punch Him and say to Him, “Prophesy!” And the operatives started slapping Him.
தத: கஸ்²சித் கஸ்²சித் தத்³வபுஷி நிஷ்டீ²வம்’ நிசிக்ஷேப ததா² தந்முக²மாச்சா²த்³ய சபேடேந ஹத்வா க³தி³தவாந் க³ணயித்வா வத³, அநுசராஸ்²ச சபேடைஸ்தமாஜக்⁴நு:
66 Now as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came by.
தத: பரம்’ பிதரே(அ)ட்டாலிகாத⁴: கோஷ்டே² திஷ்ட²தி மஹாயாஜகஸ்யைகா தா³ஸீ ஸமேத்ய
67 And seeing Peter warming himself, she looked closely at him and said, “You too were with Jesus the Natsarene!”
தம்’ விஹ்நிதாபம்’ க்³ரு’ஹ்லந்தம்’ விலோக்ய தம்’ ஸுநிரீக்ஷ்ய ப³பா⁴ஷே த்வமபி நாஸரதீயயீஸோ²: ஸங்கி³நாம் ஏகோ ஜந ஆஸீ: |
68 But Peter denied, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you are saying.” And he went out into the entryway, and a rooster crowed.
கிந்து ஸோபஹ்நுத்ய ஜகா³த³ தமஹம்’ ந வத்³மி த்வம்’ யத் கத²யமி தத³ப்யஹம்’ ந பு³த்³த்⁴யே| ததா³நீம்’ பிதரே சத்வரம்’ க³தவதி குக்குடோ ருராவ|
69 But that servant girl saw him again and began to say to those standing by, “This guy is one of them.”
அதா²ந்யா தா³ஸீ பிதரம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா ஸமீபஸ்தா²ந் ஜநாந் ஜகா³த³ அயம்’ தேஷாமேகோ ஜந: |
70 But again he kept denying it. Again, after a little while, those who were standing by said to Peter, “Surely you are one of them; because you really are a Galilean, and your accent agrees!”
தத: ஸ த்³விதீயவாரம் அபஹ்நுதவாந் பஸ்²சாத் தத்ரஸ்தா² லோகா: பிதரம்’ ப்ரோசுஸ்த்வமவஸ்²யம்’ தேஷாமேகோ ஜந: யதஸ்த்வம்’ கா³லீலீயோ நர இதி தவோச்சாரணம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²யதி|
71 Then he began to curse and to swear, “I do not know this man of whom you are speaking!”
ததா³ ஸ ஸ²பதா²பி⁴ஸா²பௌ க்ரு’த்வா ப்ரோவாச யூயம்’ கதா²ம்’ கத²யத² தம்’ நரம்’ ந ஜாநே(அ)ஹம்’|
72 And for the second time a rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had said to him, “Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” He broke down and started to cry.
ததா³நீம்’ த்³விதீயவாரம்’ குக்குடோ (அ)ராவீத்| குக்குடஸ்ய த்³விதீயரவாத் பூர்வ்வம்’ த்வம்’ மாம்’ வாரத்ரயம் அபஹ்நோஷ்யஸி, இதி யத்³வாக்யம்’ யீஸு²நா ஸமுதி³தம்’ தத் ததா³ ஸம்’ஸ்ம்ரு’த்ய பிதரோ ரோதி³தும் ஆரப⁴த|
