Luke 1
1 Given that many have undertaken to set in order a narrative concerning those things that really did take place among us,
೧ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯನಾದ ಥೆಯೊಫಿಲನೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ನೆರವೇರಿರುವ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಬರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅನೇಕರು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
2 just as those who became eyewitnesses, from the beginning, and ministers of the Word delivered them to us,
೨ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಿಂದಲೂ ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ಕಂಡು ಸುವಾರ್ತಾವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು,
3 it seemed good to me also, most excellent Theophilus, having taken careful note of everything from Above, to write to you with precision and in sequence,
೩ನಾನು ಅಮೂಲಾಗ್ರವಾಗಿ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದ ಅವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕ್ರಮಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಬರೆಯುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೆಂದು ನನಗೂ ತೋಚಿತು.
4 so that you may know the certainty of the things in which you were instructed.
೪ನಿನಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿರುವ ವಿಷಯಗಳು ಸತ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳೆಂದು ಇದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು.
5 In the days of Herod, the king of Judea, there was a certain priest named Zacharias, of the priestly division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron and her name was Elizabeth.
೫ಯೂದಾಯದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೆರೋದನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬೀಯನ ಯಾಜಕೀಯ ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಜಕರೀಯನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯಾಜಕನಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯು ಆರೋನನ ವಂಶದವಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. ಆಕೆಯ ಹೆಸರು ಎಲಿಸಬೇತ್.
6 They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.
೬ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನೇಮನಿಷ್ಠೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ತಪ್ಪಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
7 But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren; and they both were well advanced in years.
೭ಆದರೆ ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳು ಬಂಜೆಯಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ವಯೋವೃದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
8 Now it happened, as he was officiating as priest before God in the order of his division,
೮ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಜಕರೀಯನ ವರ್ಗದ ಸರದಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವನು ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಜಕಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
9 according to the custom of the priesthood, that his lot was to burn incense, upon entering the sanctuary of the Lord;
೯ದೇವಾಲಯದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಧೂಪವನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾಜಕರ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಲು ಅದು ಅವನ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತು.
10 and the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense.
೧೦ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಸಮೂಹದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಹೊರಗೆ ನಿಂತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲಾಗಿ,
11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense;
೧೧ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಧೂಪಪೀಠದ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
12 and upon seeing him Zacharias was shaken, and a fear fell upon him.
೧೨ಜಕರೀಯನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ತತ್ತರಗೊಂಡು ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತನಾದನು.
13 But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, because your prayer was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
೧೩ಆದರೆ ಆ ದೂತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಜಕರೀಯನೇ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆರುವಳು. ನೀನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯೋಹಾನನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಡಬೇಕು.
14 And you will have joy and exultation, and many will rejoice over his birth.
೧೪ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವೂ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸವೂ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದು; ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುಜನರು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವರು.
15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; he must not drink either wine or strong drink; indeed, he will be filled with Holy Spirit already from his mother's womb.
೧೫ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಪುರುಷನಾಗಿರುವನು; ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಯಾವ ಮದ್ಯವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯಬಾರದು; ಅವನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಂದಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮಭರಿತನಾಗಿರುವನು.
16 And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God;
೧೬ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಅವರ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸುವನು.
17 in fact he himself will go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of fathers to children’ and the disobedient to the mindset of the righteous, to prepare a people made ready for the Lord.”
೧೭ಅವನು ಎಲೀಯನ ಗುಣಶಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದವನಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೂತನಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವನು. ತಂದೆಗಳ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕಡೆಗೂ, ಅವಿಧೇಯರನ್ನು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕಡೆಗೂ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ, ಕರ್ತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸುವನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
18 But Zacharias said to the angel: “How can I be sure of this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.”
೧೮ಜಕರೀಯನು ಆ ದೂತನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ಮಾತು ನೆರವೇರುವುದೆಂದು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಾದರೂ ಹೇಗೆ? ನಾನು ಮುದುಕನು; ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಗೂ ಮುಪ್ಪಿನ ವಯಸ್ಸು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
19 So in answer the angel said to him: “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God; I was sent to speak to you and bring you this good news.
೧೯ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ದೂತನು, “ನಾನು ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವ ಗಬ್ರಿಯೇಲನು; ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಈ ಶುಭವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
20 Now look, you will be silent and not able to speak until the day in which these things happen, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time.”
೨೦ಇಗೋ, ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತು ತಕ್ಕ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರುವುದು; ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಇದನ್ನು ನಂಬದೆಹೋದುದರಿಂದ ಅದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಲಾರದೆ ಮೂಕನಾಗಿರುವೆ” ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
21 Now the people were waiting for Zacharias and wondering at his delay in the sanctuary.
೨೧ಇತ್ತ ಜನರು ಜಕರೀಯನಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಅವನು ದೇವಾಲಯದೊಳಗೆ ತಡಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
22 But when he came out he was unable to speak to them, and they understood that he had seen a vision in the sanctuary—he kept gesturing to them while remaining mute.
೨೨ಅವನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರ ಕೂಡ ಏನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಲಾರದೆ ಇರಲು ಅವರು, ಇವನಿಗೆ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೋ ದಿವ್ಯ ದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಜಕರೀಯನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೈಸನ್ನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಮೂಕನಾಗಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದನು.
23 And so, when the days of his service were fulfilled, he took off for home.
೨೩ಆತನ ಯಾಜಕವರ್ಗದ ಸೇವೆಯ ದಿನಗಳು ಮುಗಿದ ನಂತರ ಜಕರೀಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
24 Well after those days his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and stayed in seclusion five months. She kept saying,
೨೪ಕೆಲವು ದಿನಗಳಾದ ನಂತರ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳು ಬಸುರಾಗಿ ಐದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
25 “So that's what the Lord has done for me in the days when He concerned Himself to take away my reproach among the people!”
೨೫“ಕರ್ತನು ಈ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ನನಗೆ ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗಿದ್ದ ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town of Galilee named Natsareth,
೨೬ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾದ ಆರನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ದೇವರು ಗಬ್ರಿಯೇಲನೆಂಬ ತನ್ನ ದೂತನನ್ನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ಸೀಮೆಯ, ನಜರೇತೆಂಬ ಊರಿಗೆ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು;
27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; the virgin's name was Mary.
೨೭ಆ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯ ಹೆಸರು ಮರಿಯಳು; ಆಕೆಗೆ ದಾವೀದನ ಮನೆತನದ ಯೋಸೇಫನೆಂಬ ಪುರುಷನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
28 So upon entering where she was the angel said, “Rejoice, recipient of grace, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
೨೮ಆ ದೂತನು ಆಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು “ದೇವರ ದಯೆ ಹೊಂದಿದವಳೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಶುಭವಾಗಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ” ಅಂದನು.
29 But upon seeing him she was perplexed at his word and was trying to figure out what sort of greeting it might be.
೨೯ಆಕೆಯು ಆ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ತಬ್ಬಿಬ್ಬಾಗಿ, ಇದೆಂಥ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಎಂದು ಯೋಚನೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು.
30 The angel said to her: “Do not be afraid, Mary, because you have found favor with God.
೩೦ಆ ದೂತನು ಆಕೆಗೆ, “ಮರಿಯಳೇ, ಹೆದರಬೇಡ; ನಿನಗೆ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪೆ ದೊರಕಿದೆ.
31 Now then, you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS.
೩೧ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆರುವಿ; ಆತನಿಗೆ ಯೇಸುವೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಡಬೇಕು.
32 He will be great, and will be called ‘Son of the Most High’; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David,
೩೨ಆತನು ಮಹಾಪುರುಷನಾಗುವನು, ಪರಾತ್ಪರನಾದ ದೇವರ ಕುಮಾರನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವನು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನು ಆತನ ಮೂಲಪಿತನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವನ್ನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವನು.
33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob into the ages; indeed, of His kingdom there will be no end!” (aiōn g165)
೩೩ಆತನು ಯಾಕೋಬನ ವಂಶವನ್ನು ಸದಾಕಾಲ ಆಳುವನು; ಆತನ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂತ್ಯವೇ ಇರದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. (aiōn g165)
34 So Mary said to the angel, “How shall this be, since I do not know a man?”
೩೪ಆಗ ಮರಿಯಳು ಆ ದೂತನಿಗೆ, “ಇದು ಹೇಗಾದೀತು? ನನಗೆ ಯಾವ ಪುರುಷನ ಸಂಸರ್ಗವೂ ಇಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಳು.
35 In answer the angel said to her: “Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will hover over you; precisely for this reason the holy One who is to be born will be called ‘Son of God’!
೩೫ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದೂತನು, “ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವನು; ಪರಾತ್ಪರನಾದ ದೇವರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಸುವುದು; ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಶಿಶು ದೇವರ ಮಗನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
36 Furthermore, your relative Elizabeth, she has actually conceived a son in her old age and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren;
೩೬ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಂಧುವಾದ ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳಿದ್ದಾಳಲ್ಲಾ, ಆಕೆ ಸಹ ಮುಪ್ಪಿನವಳಾದರೂ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ; ಆಕೆಯ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಡು ಮಗುವಿದೆ; ಬಂಜೆಯೆನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಆಕೆಗೆ ಈಗ ಆರನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳು.
37 because any word spoken by God will be possible.”
೩೭ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು ಯಾವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಅಂದನು.
38 So Mary said: “Yes, I am the Lord's slave! Let it happen to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
೩೮ಆಗ ಮರಿಯಳು “ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನ ದಾಸಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ನನಗಾಗಲಿ” ಅಂದಳು. ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ದೂತನು ಆಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
39 Then Mary quickly got ready and went into the hill country in those days, to a town of Judah,
೩೯ಇದಾದ ನಂತರ ಮರಿಯಳು ಎದ್ದು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮಲೆನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಊರಿಗೆ ಹೋದಳು.
40 and entered the house of Zacharias and saluted Elizabeth.
೪೦ಜಕರೀಯನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿ ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳಿಗೆ ವಂದಿಸಿದಳು.
41 Well it happened that as Elizabeth heard Mary's salutation the babe bounced up and down in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with Holy Spirit.
೪೧ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳು ಮರಿಯಳ ವಂದನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಆಕೆಯ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೂಸು ಕುಣಿದಾಡಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮಭರಿತಳಾದಳು.
42 And she cried out with a great voice and said: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the Fruit of your womb!
೪೨ಆಗ ಆಕೆಯು ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿ, “ನೀನು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರೊಳಗೆ ಧನ್ಯಳು, ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಕೂಸು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು.
43 Why am I so favored that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
೪೩ನನ್ನ ಕರ್ತನ ತಾಯಿಯು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವಷ್ಟು ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯ ನನಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದಾಯಿತು?
44 Yes indeed, because as the sound of your salutation came into my ears the babe bounced up and down in my womb for joy.
೪೪ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ವಂದನೆಯು ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಕೂಸು ನನ್ನ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸದಿಂದ ಕುಣಿದಾಡಿತು.
45 Blessed is she who believed, because there will be a fulfillment of the things that have been spoken to her from the Lord.”
೪೫ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳು ನೆರವೇರುವವು ಅಂದಳು. ಇದನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದವಳಾದ ನೀನು ಧನ್ಯಳು.”
46 So Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord,
೪೬ಆಗ ಮರಿಯಳು, “ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುತ್ತದೆ,
47 and my spirit has exulted over God my Savior,
೪೭ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಕನಾದ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
48 in that He paid attention to the humble station of His slave (f). Yes indeed, because from now on all generations will declare me to be highly favored,
೪೮ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯ ದೀನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಇಂದಿನಿಂದ ತಲತಲಾಂತರದವರೆಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಧನ್ಯಳೆಂದು ಹೊಗಳುವರು,
49 in that the Mighty One did sublime things for me, and Holy is His name.
೪೯ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಶಕ್ತನಾಗಿರುವಾತನು ನನಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಉಪಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆತನ ನಾಮವು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದುದು.
50 His mercy is for generations of generations to those fearing Him.
೫೦ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನ ದಯೆಯು ತಲತಲಾಂತರದ ವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವುದು.
51 He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has dispersed the arrogant in the reasoning of their hearts.
೫೧ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಭುಜಪರಾಕ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಸೊಕ್ಕಿದ ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವರನ್ನು ಚದರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
52 He has dethroned rulers and exalted the lowly.
೫೨ಪ್ರಭುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ದೊಬ್ಬಿ, ದೀನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯವರನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty.
೫೩ಹಸಿದವರನ್ನು ಮೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ನದಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಸಿರಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಬರಿಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
54 He has taken the part of His servant Israel, in remembrance of mercy,
೫೪ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ವಂಶದವರಿಗೂ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಎಂದಳು. (aiōn g165)

56 So Mary stayed with her about three months, and returned to her house.
೫೬ಮರಿಯಳು ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋದಳು.
57 Now the time for Elizabeth to give birth was completed and she bore a son.
೫೭ಹೆರಿಗೆಕಾಲ ಬಂದಾಗ ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳು ಗಂಡು ಮಗುವನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು.
58 Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had used His great mercy with her, and they rejoiced with her.
೫೮ಆಕೆಯ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರೂ ಬಂಧುಬಾಂಧವರೂ ಆಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ವಿಶೇಷ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು.
59 So it was, on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child, and they started calling him by the name of his father, Zacharias.
೫೯ಎಂಟನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಆ ಮಗುವಿಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಜಕರೀಯನೆಂದು ತಂದೆಯ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಇಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದರು.
60 His mother reacted and said, “Absolutely not; he shall be called John!”
೬೦ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳು “ಅದು ಬೇಡ, ಯೋಹಾನನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಡಬೇಕು” ಅನ್ನಲು,
61 So they said to her, “There is no one among your relatives who is called by this name.”
೬೧ಅವರು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಬಂಧುಬಾಂಧವರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಹೆಸರಿನವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಾದರೂ ಇಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
62 So they started motioning to his father, as to what he would have him called.
೬೨ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ಹೆಸರಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುತ್ತೀ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಜಕರೀಯನಿಗೆ ಸನ್ನೆಮಾಡಿ ಕೇಳಿದರು.
63 Asking for a writing tablet he wrote this: “His name is to be John!” They all marveled.
೬೩ಅವನು ಒಂದು ಹಲಗೆಯನ್ನು ತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, “ಆತನ ಹೆಸರು ಯೋಹಾನನು” ಎಂದು ಬರೆದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
64 Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue freed and he started to speak, blessing God.
೬೪ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಸಡಿಲವಾಯಿತು, ಅವನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನಾಗಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿದನು.
65 (Well a fear came on all who lived around them; and all these sayings kept being talked about throughout all the hill country of Judea.
೬೫ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯುಂಟಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಯೂದಾಯದ ಮಲೆನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
66 All who heard kept them in their hearts saying, “What then will this child be?” And the hand of the Lord was with him.)
೬೬ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ, “ಆಹಾ, ಈ ಕೂಸು ಎಂಥವನಾಗುವನೋ?” ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು, ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಅಭಯ ಹಸ್ತವು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇತ್ತು.
67 Now his father Zacharias was filled with Holy Spirit and prophesied saying:
೬೭ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಮಗುವಿನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಜಕರೀಯನು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮಭರಿತನಾಗಿ ನುಡಿದ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಏನೆಂದರೆ,
68 “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has visited and provided redemption for His people;
೬೮“ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವು; ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ;
69 and has raised up a horn of deliverance for us in the house of His servant David
೬೯ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಮನೆತನದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಒಬ್ಬ ರಕ್ಷಣಾವೀರನನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
೭೦ಆತನು ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ತನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತಾನು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ, (aiōn g165)
71 deliverance from our enemies and out of the hand of all who hate us;
೭೧ನಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
72 to use mercy with our fathers, even to remember His Holy covenant,
೭೨ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೂಲಪಿತೃವಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ತನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
73 the oath that He swore to our father Abraham;

74 to grant to us (having been rescued from the hand of our enemies) to serve Him without fear,
೭೪ಹೀಗೆ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಹೊಂದಿ ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲದವರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿರ್ಮಲಚಿತ್ತದಿಂದಲೂ ನೀತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ತನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ನಮಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
75 in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.

76 And you, child, will be called Prophet of the Most High, because you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways,
೭೬ಮಗುವೇ, ನೀನಾದರೋ ಪರಾತ್ಪರನಾದ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ. ನೀನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಆತನ ಹಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿಯೂ,
77 to give a knowledge of salvation to His people by the forgiveness of their sins,
೭೭ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ಅತ್ಯಂತಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವ ಪಾಪಕ್ಷಮೆಯೆಂಬ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಆತನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುವವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವಿ. ಆ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಮಗೆ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಅರುಣೋದಯವು ಉಂಟಾಗಿ,
78 through the merciful compassions of our God, with which the divine Dawn has contemplated us,
೭೮
79 to give light to those who are sitting in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
೭೯ಅದು ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಮರಣಾಂಧಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನಮಗೆ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ನಡಿಸುವುದು.”
80 So the child kept growing and being strengthened in spirit, and he stayed in uninhabited areas until the day of his manifestation to Israel.
೮೦ಆ ಬಾಲಕನು ಬೆಳೆದು ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳವನಾದನು. ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರಿಗೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದಿನದವರೆಗೂ ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದನು.
