Luke 17
1 Then He said to the disciples: “Things that cause people to fall are bound to come, but woe to him through whom they do come!
Monda pedig a tanítványoknak: Lehetetlen dolog, hogy botránkozások ne essenek; de jaj annak, a ki által esnek.
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall.
Jobb annak, ha egy malomkövet vetnek a nyakába, és ha a tengerbe vettetik, hogynem mint egyet e kicsinyek közül megbotránkoztasson.
3 Watch out for yourselves: if your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
Őrizzétek meg magatokat: ha pedig a te atyádfia vétkezik ellened, dorgáld meg őt; és ha megtér, bocsáss meg néki.
4 Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in that day returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
És ha egy napon hétszer vétkezik ellened, és egy napon hétszer te hozzád tér, mondván: Megbántam; megbocsáss néki.
5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
És mondának az apostolok az Úrnak: Növeljed a mi hitünket!
6 So the Lord said: “If you had faith like a mustard seed has, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Monda pedig az Úr: Ha annyi hitetek volna, mint a mustármag, ezt mondanátok ím ez eperfának: Szakadj ki gyökerestől, és plántáltassál a tengerbe; és engede néktek.
7 “And which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline to eat’?
Kicsoda pedig ti közületek az, a ki, ha egy szolgája van, és az szánt vagy legeltet, tüstént azt mondja annak, mihelyt a mezőről megjő: Jer elő, ülj asztalhoz?
8 Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and gird yourself and serve me until I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’?
Sőt nem ezt mondja-e néki: Készíts vacsorámra valót, és felövezvén magadat, szolgálj nékem, míg én eszem és iszom; és azután egyél és igyál te?
9 Does he thank that slave because he did the things commanded? I guess not!
Avagy megköszöni-é annak a szolgának, hogy azt mívelte, a mit néki parancsolt? Nem gondolom.
10 So likewise you, whenever you have done everything you were told to do, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves, because we have only done what we were supposed to.’”
Ezenképen ti is, ha mindazokat megcselekedtétek, a mik néktek parancsoltattak, mondjátok, hogy: Haszontalan szolgák vagyunk; mert a mit kötelesek voltunk cselekedni, azt cselekedtük.
11 Now as He was traveling toward Jerusalem, He went along between Samaria and Galilee.
És lőn, mikor útban vala Jeruzsálem felé, hogy ő Samariának és Galileának közepette méne által.
12 And as He entered a certain village, ten men met Him—being lepers they stood at a distance.
És mikor egy faluba beméne, jöve elébe tíz bélpoklos férfi, kik távol megállának:
13 They called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
És felemelék szavokat, mondván: Jézus, Mester, könyörülj rajtunk!
14 And paying attention He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” It happened that as they went they were cleansed!
És mikor őket látta, monda nékik: Elmenvén mutassátok meg magatokat a papoknak. És lőn, hogy míg odamenének, megtisztulának.
15 Well one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, glorifying God with a loud voice;
Egy pedig ő közülök, mikor látta, hogy meggyógyult, visszatére, dicsőítvén az Istent nagy szóval;
16 then he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him—and he was a Samaritan!
És arczczal leborula az ő lábainál hálákat adván néki: és az Samariabeli vala.
17 So Jesus reacted by saying: “Were not all ten cleansed? So where are the nine?
Felelvén pedig Jézus, monda: Avagy nem tízen tisztulának-é meg? A kilencze pedig hol van?
18 None were found to return and give glory to God except this foreigner!”
Nem találkoztak a kik visszatértek volna dicsőséget adni az Istennek, csak ez az idegen?
19 Then He said to him, “Get up and go; your faith has made you well.”
És monda néki: Kelj föl, és menj el: a te hited téged megtartott.
20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said: “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation;
Megkérdeztetvén pedig a farizeusoktól, mikor jő el az Isten országa, felele nékik és monda: Az Isten országa nem szemmel láthatólag jő el.
21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ because indeed the Kingdom of God is within you.”
Sem azt nem mondják: Ímé itt, vagy: Ímé amott van; mert ímé az Isten országa ti bennetek van.
22 Then He said to the disciples: “Days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of the Man, and you will not see it.
Monda pedig a tanítványoknak: Eljő az idő, mikor kívántok látni egyet az ember Fiának napjai közül, és nem láttok.
23 And they will say to you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Do not go along or follow.
És mondják majd néktek: Ímé itt, vagy: Ímé amott van; de ne menjetek el, és ne kövessétek:
24 Because just like the lightning that lights the whole sky when it flashes, so also will the Son of the Man be in His day.
Mert miként a felvillanó villámlás az ég aljától az ég aljáig fénylik; úgy lesz az embernek Fia is az ő napján.
25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
De előbb sokat kell néki szenvednie és megvettetnie e nemzetségtől.
26 Also, just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of the Man.
És miként a Noé napjaiban lett, úgy lesz az ember Fiának napjaiban is.
27 They were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Ettek, ittak, házasodtak, férjhezmentek mindama napig, a melyen Noé a bárkába beméne, és eljöve az özönvíz, és mindeneket elveszte.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building—
Hasonlóképen mint a Lót napjaiban is lett; ettek, ittak, vettek, adtak, ültettek, építettek;
29 but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and brimstone rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
De a mely napon kiment Lót Sodomából, tűz és kénkő esett az égből, és mindenkit elvesztett:
30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of the Man is revealed.
Ezenképen lesz azon a napon, melyen az embernek Fia megjelenik.
31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to get them; and likewise he who is in the field, let him not turn back.
Az nap, a ki a háztetőn lesz, és az ő holmija a házban, ne szálljon le, hogy elvigye; és a ki a mezőn, azonképen ne forduljon hátra.
32 Remember Lot's wife!
Emlékezzetek Lót feleségére!
33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever ‘wastes’ it will preserve it.
Valaki igyekezik az ő életét megtartani, elveszti azt, és valaki elveszti azt, megeleveníti azt.
34 I tell you: on that night there will be two men in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.
Mondom néktek, azon az éjszakán ketten lesznek egy ágyban; az egyik felvétetik, és a másik elhagyatik.
35 Two women will be grinding together; one will be taken and the other left.”
Két asszony őröl együtt; az egyik felvétetik, és a másik elhagyatik.
Ketten lesznek a mezőn; az egyik felvétetik, és a másik elhagyatik.
37 They reacted by saying to Him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where there is a carcass, there will the vultures also be gathered.”
És felelvén, mondának néki: Hol, Uram? Ő pedig monda nékik: a hol a test, oda gyűlnek a saskeselyűk.
