Luke 16
1 Then He said further to His disciples: “There was a certain rich man who had a manager, who was accused to him of wasting his goods.
Și le-a spus și discipolilor săi: Era un anumit om bogat, care avea un administrator; și acesta a fost acuzat înaintea lui că i-a risipit averile.
2 So he called him in and said to him: ‘What is this I hear about you? Render an account of your stewardship, because you can no longer be manager.’
Și l-a chemat și i-a spus: Cum de aud aceasta despre tine? Dă socoteală de administrarea ta, fiindcă nu mai poți fi administrator.
3 Then the manager said within himself: ‘What shall I do? My master is taking the management away from me. I do not have strength to dig; I am ashamed to beg
Atunci administratorul a spus în el însuși: Ce să fac? Pentru că domnul meu ia administrația de la mine; nu sunt în stare să sap; să cerșesc îmi este rușine.
4 —I know what I will do, so that whenever I am removed from the management they may receive me into their houses.’
Am hotărât ce să fac, pentru ca, atunci când voi fi scos din administrație, să mă primească în casele lor.
5 Summoning each one of his master's debtors, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’
Și a chemat pe fiecare dintre datornicii domnului său și a spus primului: Cât datorezi domnului meu?
6 And he said, ‘A hundred baths of olive oil.’ So he said to him, ‘Take your bill and sit down quickly and write fifty.’
Iar el a spus: O sută de bați de untdelemn. Iar el i-a spus: Ia înscrisul tău și șezi degrabă și scrie cincizeci.
7 Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ And he said, ‘A hundred measures of wheat.’ So he said to him, ‘Take your bill and write eighty.’
Apoi a spus altuia: Dar tu, cât datorezi? Iar el a spus: O sută de cori de grâu. Iar el i-a spus: Ia înscrisul tău și scrie optzeci.
8 The master even ‘commended’ the dishonest manager, because he had acted shrewdly. The sons of this age are shrewder in their own generation than the sons of the Light. (aiōn g165)
Și domnul a lăudat pe administratorul nedrept, pentru că lucrase cu înțelepciune, pentru că în generația lor copiii acestei lumi sunt mai înțelepți decât fiii luminii. (aiōn g165)
9 “I even say to you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous mammon, so that whenever you fail, they may receive you into the eternal dwellings! (aiōnios g166)
Și eu vă spun: Faceți-vă prieteni din mamona nedreptății; pentru ca, atunci când eșuați, ei să vă primească în locuințe veșnice. (aiōnios g166)
10 He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much, and he who is dishonest in a very little is dishonest also in much.
Cel ce este credincios în puțin, este credincios și în mult; și cel ce este nedrept în puțin, este nedrept și în mult.
11 If therefore you have not been faithful with the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the genuine?
De aceea dacă nu ați fost credincioși în nedreapta mamonă, cine va încredința adevăratele bogății încrederii voastre?
12 And if you have not been faithful in what belongs to another, who will give you what is your own?
Și dacă nu ați fost credincioși în ceea ce este al altuia, cine vă va da ceea ce este al vostru?
13 No servant can serve two masters; either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon!”
Niciun servitor nu poate servi la doi stăpâni; fiindcă, ori pe unul îl va urî și pe celălalt îl va iubi; ori la unul va ține și pe celălalt îl va disprețui. Nu puteți servi lui Dumnezeu și lui mamona.
14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were also listening to all these things, and they were ridiculing Him.
Și fariseii de asemenea, fiind lacomi, au auzit toate acestea și l-au luat în derâdere.
15 So He said to them: “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. That which is exalted among men is an abomination before God.
Dar el le-a spus: Voi sunteți cei care vă declarați drepți pe voi înșivă înaintea oamenilor; dar Dumnezeu vă cunoaște inimile, pentru că ce este înălțat între oameni este urâciune înaintea lui Dumnezeu.
16 The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the Kingdom of God is being proclaimed, and every one is trying to force his way into it.
Legea și profeții au ținut până la Ioan; de atunci, împărăția lui Dumnezeu se predică și fiecare se înghesuie să intre în ea.
17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tittle of the Law to fail.
Dar este mai ușor pentru cer și pământ să treacă, decât să cadă o frântură de literă a legii.
18 “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and whoever marries her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery.
Oricine divorțează de soția lui și se căsătorește cu alta, comite adulter; și oricine se căsătorește cu cea care este divorțată de soț, comite adulter.
19 “Now there was a certain rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day.
Și era un anumit om bogat, care era îmbrăcat în purpură și in subțire și se veselea somptuos în fiecare zi;
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores, who had been placed at his gate,
Și era un anumit cerșetor, numit Lazăr, care era pus la poarta lui, plin de răni,
21 just wanting to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table—why even the dogs would come and lick his sores!
Și dorind să se sature cu firimiturile care cădeau de la masa bogatului; mai mult și câinii veneau și îi lingeau rănile.
22 In due time the beggar died and was carried away to Abraham's bosom by the angels. “The rich man also died and was buried.
Și s-a întâmplat că cerșetorul a murit și a fost dus de îngeri în sânul lui Avraam; și bogatul a murit de asemenea și a fost îngropat;
23 And in Hades he looked up and saw Abraham at a distance, and Lazarus very close to him. And being in torment, (Hadēs g86)
Și în iad își ridică ochii, fiind în chinuri; și vede pe Avraam de departe și pe Lazăr în sânul lui. (Hadēs g86)
24 he called out, saying, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; because I am tormented by this flame!’
Și a strigat și a spus: Tată Avraame, ai milă de mine și trimite pe Lazăr ca să își înmoaie vârful degetului în apă și să îmi răcorească limba, pentru că sunt chinuit în această flacără.
25 But Abraham said: ‘Child, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus had bad things; but now he is being comforted, and you tormented.
Dar Avraam i-a spus: Fiule, amintește-ți că tu în timpul vieții tale, ai primit lucrurile tale bune și tot așa, Lazăr pe cele rele; dar acum este mângâiat, iar tu ești chinuit.
26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can anyone from there cross over to us.’
Și pe lângă toate acestea, între noi și voi este stabilită o prăpastie mare; așa că cei ce voiesc să treacă de aici la voi, nu pot; nici cei de acolo să treacă la noi.
27 Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house,
Atunci a spus: De aceea te rog tată, să îl trimiți la casa tatălui meu;
28 because I have five brothers, so that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’
Fiindcă am cinci frați; ca el să le adeverească, pentru ca nu cumva să vină și ei în acest loc de chin.
29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’
Avraam i-a spus: Au pe Moise și pe profeți; să îi asculte pe ei.
30 So he said to him, ‘Oh no, father Abraham—if someone from the dead should go to them, they will repent!’
Dar el a spus: Nu, tată Avraame; ci, dacă cineva dintre morți se va duce la ei, se vor pocăi.
31 He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone should rise from the dead.’”
Iar el i-a spus: Dacă nu ascultă pe Moise și pe profeți, nu vor fi convinși nici chiar dacă ar învia cineva dintre morți.
