< John 6 >

1 After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, or Tiberias.
Masigi matung matam khara leiraga Jisuna Tiberias-gi pat hainasu khangnaba Galilee-gi pat adugi wangmada lanthoktuna chatlammi.
2 And a huge crowd was following Him because they had seen His signs that He kept performing on the sick.
Yamkhraba miyam amana Ibungogi tung induna chatlammi maramdi Ibungona anaba phahanbagi angakpa khudamsing adu makhoina ubagini.
3 So Jesus went up on the mountain and sat down there with His disciples.
Adudagi Jisuna ching amada kakhattuna mahakki tung-inbasingga loinana mapham aduda phamlammi.
4 (Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was near.)
Jihudisinggi Lanthokpibagi Chakkhangba matam adu naksillaklammi.
5 Then, raising His eyes and observing that a huge crowd was coming toward Him, Jesus says to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread so that these folks may eat?”
Ibungona yengkhatlakpada yamlaba miyam amana Ibungogi nakta lakpa adu urabada Ibungona Philip-ta onsillaklaga hairak-i, “Makhoising asi pijananaba tal eikhoina kadaidagi leigadage?”
6 Now He said this to test him, for He Himself knew what He was about to do.
Ibungona kari tougadabano haiba hannana khanglabani adubu Philip-pu chang yengnanaba Ibungona masi haibani.
7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for them, so that each of them could receive a little.”
Maduda Philip-na khumlak-i, “Sinmi amagi tha nipanmukki khutsuman-gi peisana pijananaba tal adu leiraba phaoba makhoi khudingmakna khajik khajiktang charabasu konnaroi.”
8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, says to Him,
Ibungogi tung-inba ama oiriba aduga Simon Peter-gidi manaonupa Andrew-na Ibungoda hairak-i,
9 “There is a little boy here who has five loaves of barley bread and two small fish, but what are they for so many?”
“Barley-gi tal manga amadi nga macha ani yaoriba nupamacha ama mapham asida leire. Adubu asuk yamkhraba miyam asida asising asinadi kari tourugani?”
10 Then Jesus said, “Make the people recline.” Now there was plenty of grass in the place; so the men reclined, about five thousand in number.
Maduda Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Miyam adu phamthahallu.” Mapham aduda napi marang kaina hourammi. Maram aduna makhoi phamthare. (Nupa khaktada lising mangamukni.)
11 Then Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were reclining; so too with the fish, as much as they wanted.
Adudagi Jisuna tal adu louraga Mapu Ibungobu thagatle aduga phamliba miyam aduda yenthokle. Matou adugumna ngasing adusu yenthokle aduga makhoi loina oktri phaoba chare.
12 So when they were full He says to His disciples, “Collect the leftover fragments so that nothing be wasted.”
Makhoina mapuk thanna charabada, Jisuna mahakki tung-inbasingda hairak-i, “Kari amata manghan-ganu; lemhouba machet makaising adu khomjillu.”
13 So they collected and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves that were left over from those who had eaten.
Maram aduna makhoina lemhouba machet makaising adu khomjille amasung miyam aduna barley-gi tal manga adudagi chakhraga lemhouba machet makaising aduna thumok taranithoi thalle.
14 Now then, having seen the miraculous sign that Jesus performed the men said, “This One really is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”
Mising aduna Ibungona touba angakpa khudam adu ubada makhoina hairak-i. “Tasengnamak taibangpan asida lengbirakkadaba Mapu Ibungogi wa phongdokpa Maichou adu mahak asini.”
15 So Jesus, perceiving that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew up the mountain again by Himself, alone.
Makhoina Ibungobu pharaga namphuda ningthou semgadoure haiba khangladuna Ibungona matomta ching amada chatthokkhre.
16 Now as evening came on His disciples had gone down to the sea,
Numidangwairam oiraklabada Jisugi tung-inbasingna patta kumthare
17 and getting into the boat they started to go across the sea toward Capernaum. Well it had been dark for a while and Jesus had not come to them.
aduga hi amada tonglaga Capernaum-gidamak pat adugi wangmada chatlammi. Matam adu mamsinkhre adubu Jisudi makhoigi manakta laktri.
18 Further, the sea was being agitated by a strong wind blowing.
Matam aduda akanba nungsit ama laktuna pat adu ithak hourammi.
19 Then, after they had rowed some three or four miles, they see Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat; and they were afraid.
Ibungogi tung-inbasingna mile ahum marirom hi hollaba matungda Jisuna ising mathakta khongna chattuna hi adugi manakta changsillakpa adu makhoina ubada makhoi yamna kirammi.
20 But He said to them, “It is I; don't be afraid!”
Maduda Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Eini, kiganu.”
21 Then they wanted to receive Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.
Adudagi makhoina yaningna Ibungobu hida changhalle aduga khudak aduda hi adu makhoina chatliba mapham adugi torbanda thungle.
22 The next day the crowd that had stayed on the other side of the sea, having seen that there was no other boat there except the one into which His disciples had entered, and that Jesus had not gotten into the boat with His disciples but only His disciples had gone away—
Mathanggi numitta pat adugi wangmada leihouba mising aduna mapham aduda hi amakhakta leirambani aduga hi aduda Jisugi tung-inbasingna chatkhibada Jisudi yaokhide haiba makhoina khanglammi.
23 although other boats had come from Tiberias, near the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks—
Mapu Ibungobu thagatcharaba matungda misingna tal chakhiba mapham adugi manakki torbanda Tiberias-tagi hi khara laklammi.
24 so when the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor His disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum, looking for Jesus.
Miyam aduna Jisu amadi mahakki tung-inbasing mapham aduda leitre haiba khanglabada makhoina hising aduda tonglaga Capernaum tana Ibungobu thiba chatlammi.
25 When they found Him on another side of the sea they said to Him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?”
Aduga makhoina pat adugi wangmada Jisubu phanglabada makhoina Ibungoda hairak-i, “Oja Ibungo, karamba matamda Ibungona mapham sida lengbirakpage?”
26 Jesus answered them and said: “Most assuredly I say to you, you are not seeking me because you saw miraculous signs, but because you ate the bread and were filled.
Jisuna makhoida khumlak-i, “Eina nakhoida tasengnamak hairibasini, nakhoina angakpa khudamsing adu khangbagi maramna nakhoina eibu thirakpa natte adubu nakhoina tal pukthanna chakhibagi maramnani.
27 Do not work for the food that wastes away but for the food that endures into life eternal, which the Son of the Man will give you; because on Him God the Father has set His seal.” (aiōnios g166)
Manggadaba chinjakkidamak thabak suganu adubu lomba naidaba hingba phaoba leiba chinjak adugidamak thabaksu. Masigi chinjak asidi Migi Machanupa aduna nakhoida pibigani maramdi Tengban Mapu Mapa Ibungo aduna mangonda yabibagi khudam nambire.” (aiōnios g166)
28 So they said to Him, “What should we do so that we may work the works of God?”
Maram aduna makhoina Ibungoda hanglak-i, “Eikhoina Tengban Mapugi thabaksing adu tounaba eikhoina kari touba tabage?”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe into the One whom He sent.”
Maduda Jisuna khumlak-i, “Ibungo mahakna thabiraklaba mahak adubu nakhoina thajaba haiba asi Tengban Mapugi thabak aduni.”
30 So they said to Him: “Well then, what sign are you going to do so we may see and believe you? What are you going to perform?
Makhoina khumlak-i, “Eikhoina ujaraga Ibungobu thajanaba Ibungona kari angakpa khudam toubigani? Ibungona kari toubigani?
31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert, just as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from Heaven to eat.’”
‘Mahakna makhoida swargadagi chanaba tal pibikhi’ haina Mapu Ibungogi puyada ibagumna eikhoigi ipa ipusingna leikanglada leiringeida makhoina manna chakhi.”
32 Then Jesus said to them: “Most assuredly I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from Heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from Heaven.
Maduda Jisuna hairak-i, “Eina nakhoida tasengnamak hairibasini, swargadagi tal pikhiba adu Moses-na natte adubu eigi Ipana nakhoida swargadagi achumba tal adu pibi.
33 For the bread of God is the One coming down out of Heaven and giving Life to the world.”
Tengban Mapugi tal adudi swargadagi kumtharakpa amadi taibangpanda hingba pibiba mahak aduni.”
34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
Makhoina hairak-i, “Ibungo, tal adu matam pumnamakta eikhoida pibiyu.”
35 So Jesus said to them: “I am the bread of the Life. Whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes into me will never thirst.
Maduda Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Hingbagi tal adu eini. Eingonda lakpa mi adu keidoungeidasu lamlaroi; eingonda thajaba mi adu keidoungeidasu khouranglaroi.
36 But, as I told you, you have actually seen me, yet you do not believe.
Adubu eina nakhoida hannana haikhre adudi nakhoina eibu ukhre adubu houjiksu nakhoina thajade.
37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will not throw out;
Eigi Ipana eingonda pibiba makhoi pumnamak adu eingonda lakkani aduga eingonda lakpa mi amatabu eina khak tanthokloi.
38 because it is not to do my own will that I have come down out of Heaven, but the will of the One who sent me.
Maramdi eina eigi aningba tounaba swargadagi kumtharakpa natte adubu eibu thabirakpa Ibungo mahakki aningba tounanaba kumtharakpani.
39 Now this is the will of the Father who sent me, that I should lose nothing out of all that He has given me, but should raise it up at the last day.
Eibu thabirakpa Ibungo mahakki aningba adudi asini, Ibungo mahakna eingonda pibikhraba makhoi kana amatabu eina mang-handaduna aroiba numitta makhoibu hinggat-hanba aduni.
40 Again this is the will of Him who sent me, that everyone who ‘sees’ the Son and believes into Him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” (aiōnios g166)
Eigi Ipagi aningba adudi Machanupa adubu ujaba amadi Ibungo mahakpu thajaba makhoi pumnamakna lomba naidaba hingba phangbani aduga eina makhoibu aroiba numitta hinggat-hanbigani.” (aiōnios g166)
41 Then the Jews started complaining about Him, because He said, “I am the bread that came down out of Heaven.”
“Swargadagi kumtharakpa tal adu eini” haina Ibungona haibagi maramna Jihudisingna Ibungogi maramda yaningdabagi murum murum sonba hourammi.
42 And they were saying: “Isn't this Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? So how can he say, ‘I have come down out of Heaven’?”
“Mahak asi Joseph-ki machanupa Jisu adu nattra? Mahakki mama mapa eikhoina khang-i. Aduga kamdouna mahakna ‘Ei swargadagi kumtharakpani’ haina hairibano?”
43 So Jesus answered and said to them: “Stop complaining among yourselves.
Maduda Jisuna khumlak-i, “Nakhoi nasen-gi narakta murum murum sonnariba adu leppu.
44 No one is able to come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
Eibu thabirakpa Ipa aduna chingsinbidrabadi kanagumba amatana eigi inakta lakpa ngamde aduga aroiba numitta eina makhoibu hinggat-hanbigani.
45 It is written in the prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who listens and learns from the Father comes to me.
Mapu Ibungogi wa phongdokpibasingna asumna irammi, ‘Tengban Mapuna makhoi pumnamakpu tambigani.’ Ipagi khonjel taba amadi Ibungo mangondagi tamjaba makhoina eingonda lakkani.
46 (Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God—He has seen the Father.)
Masina Ipa adubu kanagumba amana ukhare haibadi natte; Tengban Mapudagi lakpa mahak adu khaktana Ipa adubu ukhre.
47 Most assuredly I say to you: the one believing into me has eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Eina nakhoida tasengnamak hairibasini, eibu thajaba mahak aduna lomba naidaba hingba phangle. (aiōnios g166)
48 “I am the bread of the Life.
Hingbagi tal adu eini.
49 Your fathers ate manna in the desert, and they died.
Nakhoigi napa napusingna lamjao lamhangda manna chakhi adubu makhoi sikhi.
50 This is the bread that comes down out of Heaven, so that anyone may eat of it and not die.
Adubu kanagumba amana swargadagi kumtharakpa tal adu charabadi mahak siraroi.
51 I am the living bread which came down out of Heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. Actually, the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give on behalf of the life of the world.” (aiōn g165)
Swargadagi kumtharakpa ahingba tal adu eini. Kanagumbana tal asi charabadi mahak lomba naidana hinggani. Taibangpan asina hingjanaba eina pigadouriba tal adu eigi hakchangni.” (aiōn g165)
52 At that the Jews started quarrelling among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?!”
Masina Jihudisinggi marakta kanna yetnaduna hainarak-i, “Kamdouna mi asina eikhoida mahakki hakchangbu chanaba oina pigadouribano?”
53 So Jesus said to them: “Most assuredly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of the Man and drink His blood, you do not have Life within yourselves.
Maduda Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Eina nakhoida tasengnamak hairibasini, nakhoina Migi Machanupa adugi hakchang adu chadraba aduga mahakki ee adu thaktrabadi nakhoida hingba leiroi.
54 Whoever chews my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
Adubu eigi hakchang charaba amadi eigi ee thaklaba mi aduna lomba naidana hingba phangle aduga eina mahakpu aroiba numitta hinggat-hanbigani. (aiōnios g166)
55 Really, my flesh is genuine food and my blood is genuine drink.
Eigi hakchangdi tasengnamak chinjakni aduga eigi eedi tasengnamak thaknabani.
56 Whoever chews my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in him.
Eigi hakchangbu chaba amadi eigi eebu thakpa makhoina eingonda lei aduga eina makhoida lei.
57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
Ahingba Ipa aduna eibu thabirakpani aduga Ibungo mahakki maramna ei hingbani, matou adugumna eibu chaba mahak aduna eigi maramna hinggani.
58 This is the bread that came down out of Heaven. Whoever feeds on this bread of mine will live forever (in contrast to your fathers who ate the manna and died).” (aiōn g165)
Masini swargadagi kumtharaklaba tal adu. Nakhoigi napa napusingna manna chakhi aduga sikhi adubu tal asi chaba mahak adudi lomba naidana hinggani.” (aiōn g165)
59 He said these things while teaching in a synagogue in Capernaum.
Waramsing asi Ibungona Capernaum-da leiba synagogue-ta tambiringeida haibani.
60 Therefore, upon hearing this many from among His disciples said: “This word is hard! Who is able to hear it?”
Ibungogi tung-inba mayam amana masi tabada hairak-i, “Masigi tambiba asi yamna lui. Kanana masibu lousinba ngamgani?”
61 So Jesus, knowing in Himself that His disciples were complaining about this, said to them: “Does this offend you?
Mahakki tung-inbasingna murum murum sonnariba adu khangladuna Ibungona hairak-i, “Masina nakhoida tokningba phaohanbra?
62 What if you should see the Son of the Man going up to where He was at first?
Adu oirabadi Migi Machanupa aduna mahakna hanna leiramba mapham aduda amuk kakhatkhiba nakhoina uba tarabadi kari khan-gani?
63 The Spirit is the One who makes alive; the flesh does not benefit anything. The words that I speak to you are spirit, are Life.
Hingba piba adu Mapu Ibungogi Thawainani. Mioibagi panggaldi kari amata kannade. Eina nakhoida haikhiba waheising adu thawai amasung hingbani.
64 But there are some among you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the start who they were who did not believe, and who was betraying Him.)
Adubu nakhoi kharanadi eibu thajade.” (Ibungobu kana kanana thajaroidage aduga kanana Ibungobu pithokkadage haibasi houbadagi Ibungona khang-i.)
65 And He said, “That is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it has been granted to him by my Father.”
Jisuna makha tana hairak-i, “Maram aduna eina nakhoida haikhre, Ipa aduna makhoibu ngamhanbidrabadi makhoi kana amatana eingonda lakpa ngamloi.”
66 From that time many of His disciples turned back and stopped going around with Him.
Maram asina Ibungogi tung-inba mayam ama hankhre aduga Ibungoga amuk chatminnakhidre.
67 So Jesus said to the twelve, “You don't want to go away too, do you?”
Maram aduna Ibungona mahakki tung-inba taranithoi aduda hanglak-i, “Nakhoisu eibu thadoktuna chatninglabra?”
68 So Simon Peter answered Him: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Maduda Simon Peter-na khumlak-i, “Ibungo, eikhoina kanada chatlugani? Ibungoda lomba naidaba hingba pibiba waheising adu lei. (aiōnios g166)
69 Further, we have come to believe and to know that you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God!”
Aduga Ibungodi Tengban Mapudagi lakpiba Asengba Mahak aduni haiba eikhoina thajei amadi khangjei.”
70 He said to them: “Did I myself not choose you twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.”
Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Eina nakhoi taranithoibu khanba nattra? Adubu nakhoigi marakta amadi devil-ni!”
71 He was referring to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.
Ibungona hairiba adu Simon Iscariot-ki machanupa Judas-gi maramdani. Judas asi Ibungogi tung-inba taranithoigi marakta ama oirabasu mahakna Ibungobu pithokkani.
