< John 1 >
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Kundandubhoko, ashinkupagwa Lilobhe, Lilobhejo paaliji pamo na a Nnungu, shibhaliji a Nnungu na jwalakwe Lilobhe paaliji nneyo peyo.
2 He Himself existed in the beginning with God.
Lilobheju paaliji pamo na a Nnungu kuuumila kundandubho.
3 All things came to be by Him; that is, apart from Him not even one thing that has come into being came to be.
Indu yowe puipengenywe kupitila Jwenejo, shakwa shindu shipengenywe gwangali jwenejo.
4 In Him was life, and the Life was the Light of mankind.
Jwenejo shiumilo sha gumi na pugwaliji shilangaya kubhandu.
5 Now the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Shilangayasho shinalangaya pa lubhindu, wala lubhindu lwangakombola kuima shilangaya.
6 There was a man, sent from God, whose name was John.
Gwakoposhele mundu jumo atumilwe na a Nnungu, lina lyakwe a Yowana,
7 This man came as a witness to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him.
jwenejo ashinkuika kukong'ondela ga shilangayasho. Nkupinga kwa ntenga gwakwe bhandu bhowe bhakulupalilanje.
8 He himself was not the Light but was to testify about the Light—
A Yowana bhayene nngabha shene shilangayasho, ikabhe bhashinkuika kukong'ondela ga jwene aliji shilangayasho.
9 the true Light which illumines everyone who comes into the world.
Jweneju ni shilangaya shiyene akwiya pa shilambolyo, kukwamulishilanga bhandu bhowe.
10 He was in the world, the world that came into being by Him, yet the world did not know Him.
Shilangayajo paaliji pashilambolyo, kupitila jwenejo shilambolyo gushipengenywe, ikabheje bhandu bha pa shilambolyo bhangammanyanga.
11 He came to His own things, yet His own people did not receive Him.
Aishe kubhandu bhakwe, ikabheje bhandu bhakwe bhangamposhelanga.
12 But, as many as did receive Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe into His name:
Ikabheje bhowe bhamposhelenje nikunkulupalila, gwabhatendilenje kubha bhana bha a Nnungu,
13 who were begotten, not by blood, nor by the desire of the flesh, nor by the will of a man, but by God.
bhabhelekwenje nngabha kwa komboywa na mundu, wala mashili ga shiilu wala kwaapinga mundu, ikabhe kwaapinga a Nnungu.
14 So the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we observed His glory, glory of an Only-begotten, from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Lilobhe gwatendeshe kubha mundu nigwatemi kunngwetu. Na uwe gutuubhweni ukonjelo gwakwe, ukonjelo guka Mwana jwa jika akoposhela kwa Atati, agumbele nema na kweli.
15 John testified about Him and called out saying: “This is He of whom I said, ‘The One coming after me is now ahead of me, because He existed before I did.’”
A Yowana bhabhatisha bhayene gubhaabhalanjilenje bhandu kwa lilobhe lya utiya bhalinkuti, “Jweneju junantayaga kuti, ‘Akwiya nnyuma jangu jwankulungwa kumbunda nne, pabha aapali nne nganabhe pagwa.’”
16 Now we have all received from His fullness, yes, grace upon grace.
Kwa ligongo lya punda nema jabho, uwe tubhowe tupatile mboka ja punda.
17 Because the Law was given through Moses; the Grace and the Truth came through Jesus Christ.
Pabha Shalia pujiishe kupitila a Musha, nema na kweli puiishe kupitila a Yeshu Kilishitu.
18 No one has ever seen God. The Only-begotten Son, who exists in the bosom of the Father, He has interpreted Him.
Jwakwa mundu jojowe abhabhweni a Nnungu, ikabhe Mwana jwa jikape jwa a Nnungu, ali pamo na Atati, jwenejo atulangwiye shibhali a Nnungu.
19 Now this is John's testimony, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”
Gweguno ni ukong'ondelo gwa a Yowana ku bhakulungwanji bha Bhayaudi bha ku Yelushalemu, pubhaatumilenje bhakulungwanji bha bhishila na Bhalawi, bhakaabhuyanje a Yowana, “Mmwe agani?”
20 He confessed, he did not deny but confessed, “I am not the Christ.”
A Yowana bhangakana kwaajangulanga, gubhaabhalanjilenje gwangali nng'iyo, “Nne nngabha a Kilishitu.”
21 So they asked him, “What then, are you Elijah?” And he says, “I am not.” “Are you ‘the Prophet’?” “No,” he answered.
Penepo gubhaabhushiyenje, “Bhai, Mmwe agani? Bhuli, mmwe a Eliya?” A Yowana gubhajangwile, “Nng'oope, nne nngabha bhene.” Gubhabhushiyenje, “Mmwe ankulondola bha a Nnungu bhala?” A Yowana gubhaajangwilenje, “Nng'oope.”
22 So they said to him: “Who are you?—so that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”
Bhalabhonji gubhaabhushiyenje, “Bhai, mmwe agani? Nkwitaya bhuli mmayene? Ntubhalanjile, nkupinga tukaabhalanjilanje bhatutumilenje kukummuya bhala.”
23 He said, “I am ‘the voice of one calling out: “Make the Lord's road straight in the wilderness,”’ just as the prophet Isaiah said.”
A Yowana gubhaajangwilenje, malinga ankulondola bha a Nnungu a Ishaya shibhalugwile. “Nne ni lilobhe lika mundu lipilikanika kuanga. Mwaalashiyanje Bhakulungwa mpanda gwabho, ‘Nngoloyanje mushibhapite.’”
24 Now those who had been sent were from the Pharisees.
Bhene bhandunji bhatumilwenje na Mapalishayo bhala,
25 So they asked him saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor ‘the Prophet’?”
gubhaabhushiyenje a Yowana, “Monaga mmwe nngabha a Kilishitu na nngabha a Eliya na wala nngabha ankulondola bha a Nnungu bhala, pakuti nnabhatisha?”
26 John answered them saying: “I baptize with water, but among you stands One whom you do not know.
A Yowana gubhaajangwilenje, “Nne ngunabhatisha kwa mashi, ikabheje bhapali bhamo munkumbi gwenunji bhunkanabhe kwaamanyanga.
27 He is the One coming after me who is now ahead of me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”
Bhene bhunalugwile bhanakwiya nnyuma jangu, nne nangatopela kubha ntumishi jwabho nkali jwa gopola mbundo ya ilatu yabho.”
28 These things happened in Bithabara, across the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
Genego kugatendeshe ku Bhetania, kung'ambo lushi lwa Yolodani kubhabhatishaga a Yowana.
29 The next day John sees Jesus coming toward him and says: “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Malabhi gakwe, a Yowana gubhaabhweni a Yeshu bhalinkwajiila, gubhashite, “Nnole, bhenebha Mwana Ngondolo jwa a Nnungu, bhaajigala yambi ya bhandu bha pashilambolyo!
30 This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who is now ahead of me, because He existed before I did.’
Bhenebha bhunakungulushilaga nilinkuti, ‘Nnyuma jangu bhanakwiya bhandu bhamo bhali bhakulungwa kumbunda nne, pabha bhaapali nne nganabhe pagwa!’
31 I did not know Him; but so that He should be revealed to Israel, that is why I came baptizing with water.”
Nne namwene ngaamanyiji, ikabheje njikwiya bhatisha kwa mashi nkupinga bhandu bha Ishilaeli bhaamanyanje.”
32 And John testified saying: “I observed the Spirit coming down like a dove out of heaven, and He rested upon Him.
A Yowana gubhakong'ondele bhalinkuti, “Nashinkumona Mbumu jwa a Nnungu alituluka mbuti nnjubha, kukoposhela kunnungu nikwaatula.
33 Now I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water, He said to me, ‘The One upon whom you see the Spirit coming down and resting—this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’
Nne nganaamanye, ikabheje bhene bhandumile kubhatisha kwa mashi bhala bhanugulile, ‘Mundu jushimummone alikuntula Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo, jwenejo shaabhatishe kwa Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo.’
34 So I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
Nne nigabhweni na ngunakong'ondela kuti bhenebha Bhanabhabho a Nnugu.”
35 Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples.
Malabhi gakwe, a Yowana pubhaaliji na bhaajiganywa bhabho bhabhili.
36 And seeing Jesus walking by, he says, “Look, the Lamb of God!”
Bhakaabhoneje a Yeshu bhalipita, gubhashite, “Nnolanje! Mwana Ngondolo jwa a Nnungu.”
37 The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
Bhaajiganywa bhabhili bha a Yowana bhala, bhakapilikananjeje gene malobhego, gubhaakagwilenje a Yeshu.
38 So turning and observing them following Jesus says to them, “What do you want?” So they said to Him, “Rabbi” (which translated means ‘Teacher’), “where are You staying?”
Bhai, a Yeshu gubhatendebhwishe gubhaabhweninji bhaajiganywa bha a Yowana bhalikwakagulanga, gubhaabhushiyenje, “Nkuloleyanga nndi?” Bhalabhonji gubhaajangwilenje, “Alabhi, kunkutama kwei?” A Labhi, malombolelo gakwe Bhaajiganya.
39 He says to them, “Come and see.” So they went and saw where He was staying, and stayed with Him that day—it was about the tenth hour.
A Yeshu gubhabhaalanjilenje, “Nnjiyangananje shimpabhonanje.” Bhaajiganywa bhala gubhaakagwilenje gubhapabhweninji pubhatamaga, puyaliji shaa kumi ja ligulo na gubhatemi nabhonji lyene lyubhalyo.
40 One of the two who heard John and followed Him was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
Jumo jwa bhene bhaajiganywa bhabhili bhaapilikenenje a Yowana bhalibheleketa nikwakagula a Yeshu, pubhashemwaga a Ndeleya, apwabho a Shimoni Petili.
41 He first finds his own brother Simon and says to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated ‘Christ’).
A Ndeleya gubhatandwibhe kwaaloleya akulu bhabho a Shimoni, gubhaalugulile, “Twaabhweni a Mashiya” malombolelo gakwe a Kilishitu Bhaatapula.
42 And he led him to Jesus. Looking at him Jesus said, “You are Simon, the son of Jonah; you will be called Cephas” (which is translated ‘Stone’).
Kungai gubhaapeleshe kwa a Yeshu. Na bhalabho a Yeshu gubhaalolile nigubhashite, “Mmwe a Shimoni bhana bhabho a Yowana. Nnaino shinshemwe a Kepa.” Malombolelo gakwe Petili, yani, “Liganga.”
43 The next day He decided to go to Galilee, so He finds Philip and says to him, “Follow me.”
Malabhi gakwe a Yeshu gubhapinjile kwenda ku Galilaya. Bhai, gubhaabhweni a Pilipi gubhaabhalanjile, “Nngagule.”
44 (Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the hometown of Andrew and Peter.)
A Pilipi pubhaliji bhandu bha ku Bhetishaida shilambo shibhatamaga a Ndeleya na a Petili.
45 Philip finds Nathanael and says to him, “We have found the One of whom Moses in the Law—and also the prophets—wrote: Jesus the son of Joseph, from Natsareth.”
A Pilipi bhakaabhoneje a Natanaeli nigubhaabhalanjile, “Twaabhweni bhene bhajandikwe muitabhu ya shalia ya a Musha na ya ashinkulondola bha a Nnungu, a Yeshu bhana bhabho a Yoshepu bha ku Nashaleti.”
46 So Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Natsareth?” Philip says to him, “Come and see!”
A Natanaeli gubhaabhushiye a Pilipi, “Bhuli, inakomboleka shindu shoshowe sha mmbone kukopoka ku Nashaleti?” A Pilipi gubhaabhalanjile, “Nnjiye kunnole.”
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him and says about him, “There, a genuine Israelite in whom there is no deceit!”
A Yeshu bhakaabhoneje a Natanaeli bhalikwajiila, gubhashite, “Nnolanje, bhenebha Bhaishilaeli bha kweli, bhangali ya nyata muntima gwabho.”
48 Nathanael says to Him, “From where do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, while you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
A Natanaeli gubhaabhushiye, “Mmwe pummanyi nne shanabhuli?” A Yeshu gubhajangwile, “Nammweni nni paina nkongo pala, nkali nkanabhe shemwa na a Pilipi.”
49 In answer Nathanael says to Him: “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”
Penepo a Natanaeli gubhaalugulile, “Mmajiganya, mmwe Bhanabhabho a Nnungu. Mmwe a Mpalume bha Ishilaeli!”
50 Jesus answered and said to him: “You believe because I said that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater than these.”
A Yeshu gubhaabhalanjile, “Bhuli, nnakulupalila pabha njikummalanjila kuti namweni nni paina nkongo pala? Shinngabhone gamakulungwa kupunda genega.”
51 And He says to him, “I tell you (pl) most assuredly, later on you will see the heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of the Man.”
A Yeshu gubhapundile kubheleketa, “Kweli kweli ngunakummalanjilanga, shinkubhonanje kunnungu kuliuguka na ashimalaika bha a Nnungu bhalikwelanga na tuluka kwangu nne Mwana juka Mundu.”
