< James 5 >
1 Come now, you rich, howl as you weep over your distresses that are coming upon you!
2 Your wealth has decayed and your clothes have become moth-eaten.
Vindu vinu viwolili, na nyula zinu zimeminwi na makele.
3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire—you stored it up for the last days.
Zahabu na feza yinu na zimeli chilali. Na chilali chenicho yati yivya ulangisu winu, Yene yati yilya higa yinu ngati motu. Nyenye muvili vindu mumagono ago ga mwishu.
4 Look, the wages of the workers who cut your fields, that were unjustly held back by you, cry out, and the loud cries of the reapers have entered the ears of the Lord of Hosts.
Mlola! Mwangavalipa luhuna vanalihengu vevahengili lihengu mumigunda yinu. Myuwanila kulungamika kwavi. BAMBU Chapanga mweavi na makakala ayuwini kuvemba kwavi.
5 You have lived on the earth in self-indulgence and luxury, you fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
Mtamii pamulima kwa kugana kujisangalusa neju. Mjikulupalisi mwavene ngati ng'ombi cheyikulupili changali kumanya ligono la kuhinjwa.
6 You condemned, you murdered the righteous—he offers you no resistance.
Muvahamwili na kuvakoma vandu vangavabela!
7 Therefore, brothers, be patient until the coming of the Lord. Consider, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it until it receives the early and late rain.
Hinu, valongo vangu, mlindila mbaka BAMBU peibwela. Mlola mlimaji cheilindila mbeyu yeamiji pandima muni abena mabenu gabwina.
8 You also be patient. Keep your hearts firm, because the coming of the Lord has approached.
9 Do not groan against one another, brothers, lest you be judged. Look, the Judge is standing at your doors!
10 Brothers, take as an example the patient bearing of hardship and the steadfastness of the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
Valongo vangu, muvakumbuka vamlota va Chapanga vevajobvili kwa liina la BAMBU, muni kuvya luhumu lwa kukangamala mukung'ahika.
11 Indeed we count as blessed those who endure—you have heard of the perseverance of Job and have seen the final outcome given by the Lord, that He is very compassionate and merciful.
Tikuvakemela avo vana vamotisiwi muni vasindimili. Myuwini Ayubu cheasindimili, na mmanyili ndi BAMBU chamhengili mbaka pamwishu. Muni BAMBU amemili lipyana na ubwina.
12 But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or any other oath. Let your “Yes” be “Yes”, and your “No”, “No”, lest you fall into pretense.
Neju pa genago goha, valongo vangu, mkoto kulapa kwa kunani kwa Chapanga, amala kwa mulima, amala kwa chindu chingi chochoha. Mjova “Ena” ngati mana yinu ena, na “Lepi” ngati mana yinu ndi lepi, na penapo yati mwihamuliwa lepi na Chapanga.
13 Is anyone among you suffering hardship? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.
Wu, kuna mundu yoyoha pagati yinu ana mang'ahiso? Iganikiwa kumuyupa Chapanga. Wu, avili mwana luheku? Iganikiwa kuyimba nyimbu za kulumba.
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the congregation, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15 And the prayer of faith will deliver the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sin, it will be forgiven him.
Vakayupa kwa sadika mtamu yati ilamiswa, BAMBU yati akumlamisa na kumbudila kwaki Chapanga yati kulekekeswa.
16 Confess your transgressions to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous one, being operative, is very powerful.
Luyupu lwa mundu mbwina luna makakala ga kukita gamahele.
17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
Eliya avi mundu ngati tete. Ayupili kwa kukangamala fula yikoto kutonya ndi yatonyili lepi pamulima miyaka yidatu na miehi sita.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain and the earth produced its fruit.
Ayupili kavili, fula yatonyili na mulima wapambiki mabenu gaki.
19 Brothers, if anyone among you should wander away from the truth, and someone should turn him back,
20 let him know that the one who turns a sinner back from the error of his way will deliver a soul from death and will remove from sight a multitude of sins.
manya kuvya mundu mwenuyo mwakumuwuyisa kumbudila Chapanga kuhuma munjila zaki zihakau, yati akumsangula mundu mwenuyo kuhuma mulifwa, na yati akumkita Chapanga amuwusila kubuda kwaki kwamahele.
