James 4
1 Where do the wars and disputes among you come from? Is it not precisely from your pleasures, the ones at war in your members?
Ուրկէ՞ կը ծագին պատերազմներն ու կռիւները ձեր մէջ: Միթէ չե՞ն ծագիր ձեր կիրքերէն, որոնք կը մարտնչին ձեր անդամներուն մէջ:
2 You crave and do not have; you murder and covet and are not able to obtain; you fight and war. You do not have because you do not ask.
Կը ցանկաք, բայց չունիք. կը սպաննէք ու կը նախանձիք, սակայն չէք կրնար հասնիլ ձեր ուզածին: Կը կռուիք եւ կը պատերազմիք, բայց չունիք՝ որովհետեւ չէք խնդրեր:
3 You ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so that you may lavish it on your pleasures.
Կը խնդրէք՝ սակայն չէք ստանար, որովհետեւ կը խնդրէք չարամտօրէն՝ որպէսզի վատնէք ձեր կիրքերուն համար:
4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? So whoever may want to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Շնացողնե՛ր, չէ՞ք գիտեր թէ այս աշխարհի բարեկամութիւնը՝ Աստուծոյ դէմ թշնամութիւն է. ուրեմն ո՛վ որ կը փափաքի բարեկամ ըլլալ աշխարհի, ինքզինք թշնամի կ՚ընէ Աստուծոյ:
5 Or do you suppose that the Scripture says in vain that the Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously?
Կամ կը կարծէք թէ Գիրքը ընդունա՞յն կ՚ըսէ. «Նախանձի կը տենչայ մեր մէջ բնակող հոգին»՝՝:
6 But He gives greater grace; therefore He says: “God resists proud ones, but gives grace to humble ones.”
Սակայն աւելի մեծ շնորհք մը կու տայ, ուստի կ՚ըսէ. «Աստուած կ՚ընդդիմանայ ամբարտաւաններուն, բայց շնորհք կու տայ խոնարհներուն»:
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Ուրեմն հպատակեցէ՛ք Աստուծոյ: Դիմադրեցէ՛ք Չարախօսին, եւ ան պիտի փախչի ձեզմէ:
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Sinners, cleanse your hands! Double-minded, purify your hearts!
Մօտեցէ՛ք Աստուծոյ, եւ ան պիտի մօտենայ ձեզի: Մաքրեցէ՛ք ձեր ձեռքերը, մեղաւորնե՛ր, ու սրբացուցէ՛ք ձեր սիրտերը, երկմիտնե՛ր:
9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into dejection.
Զգացէ՛ք ձեր թշուառութիւնը, սգացէ՛ք եւ լացէ՛ք. ձեր խնդուքը թող փոխուի սուգի, ու ձեր ուրախութիւնը՝ տրտմութեան:
10 Humble yourself before the Lord and He will exalt you.
Խոնարհեցէ՛ք Տէրոջ առջեւ, եւ ան պիտի բարձրացնէ ձեզ:
11 Brothers, do not speak evil of one another. Because the one speaking against a brother and judging his brother speaks against a law and judges a law. So if you judge a law you are not a law-doer but a judge.
Մի՛ բամբասէք զիրար, եղբայրնե՛ր: Ա՛ն որ կը բամբասէ իր եղբայրը կամ կը դատէ իր եղբայրը, կը բամբասէ Օրէ՛նքը եւ կը դատէ Օրէ՛նքը: Իսկ եթէ դատես Օրէնքը, ա՛լ Օրէնքը գործադրող չես, հապա՝ դատաւոր:
12 The Lawgiver and Judge is One, the one who is able to save and to destroy. So who are you (sg) to be judging someone who is different?
Միայն մէ՛կ Օրէնսդիր (ու Դատաւոր) կայ, որ կարող է փրկել եւ կորսնցնել: Դուն ո՞վ ես՝ որ կը դատես ուրիշը:
13 Come now, you who say, “Today and tomorrow let us travel to that certain city, spend a year there, do business and make a profit;”
Հիմա գա՛նք ձեզի՝ որ կ՚ըսէք. «Այսօր կամ վաղը պիտի երթանք այսինչ քաղաքը, հոն տարի մը պիտի կենանք, առեւտուր պիտի ընենք ու պիտի շահինք»:
14 whereas you do not know anything about the morrow. For what is our life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time but then vanishes away.
(Դո՛ւք՝ որ չէք գիտեր թէ ի՛նչ պիտի ըլլայ վաղը:
15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
Քանի որ ի՞նչ է ձեր կեանքը. արդարեւ շոգի մըն է, որ քիչ մը ատեն կ՚երեւնայ, յետոյ կ՚աներեւութանայ: ) Փոխարէնը ըսելու էիք. «Եթէ Տէրը կամենայ, պիտի ապրինք եւ պիտի ընենք այս կամ այն բանը»:
16 But now you boast in your arrogant pretensions. All such boasting is malignant.
Բայց հիմա կը պարծենաք ձեր պոռոտախօսութեամբ. այդպիսի ամէն պարծանք չար է:
17 Therefore, to the one knowing to do good and not doing it, to him it is sin.
Ուրեմն ո՛վ որ գիտէ բարին ընել՝ բայց չ՚ըներ, ատիկա մեղք է իրեն համար:
