Ephesians 1
1 Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, that is, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Paulus, Apostel Jesu Christi durch den Willen Gottes, an die Heiligen, die in Ephesus sind, und Gläubigen in Christus Jesus.
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and Sovereign Jesus Christ.
Gnade sei mit euch und Friede von Gott, unsrem Vater und dem Herrn Jesus Christus!
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ;
Gepriesen sei der Gott und Vater unsres Herrn Jesus Christus, der uns mit jedem geistlichen Segen gesegnet hat in den himmlischen [Regionen] durch Christus;
4 just as He[F] chose us in Him[S] before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him[F], in love,
wie er uns in ihm auserwählt hat vor Grundlegung der Welt, damit wir heilig und tadellos wären vor ihm;
5 having predestined us into an adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, into Him[S], according to the good pleasure of His[F] will,
und aus Liebe hat er uns vorherbestimmt zur Kindschaft gegen ihn selbst, durch Jesus Christus, nach dem Wohlgefallen seines Willens,
6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, with which He graced us in the Beloved;
zum Preise der Herrlichkeit seiner Gnade, mit welcher er uns begnadigt hat in dem Geliebten;
7 in whom we have the redemption through His[S] blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His[F] grace,
in ihm haben wir die Erlösung durch sein Blut, die Vergebung der Sünden nach dem Reichtum seiner Gnade,
8 that He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and intelligent design,
die er gegen uns überfließen ließ in aller Weisheit und Einsicht;
9 having made known to us the ‘secret’ of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Him[S],
er tat uns das Geheimnis seines Willens kund, gemäß seinem wohlwollenden Ratschluß, den er gefaßt hat in ihm,
10 with a view to administering the fullness of the times, so as to bring all things together under one head in Christ—those on the heavens and those on the earth—in Him[S],
damit es ausgeführt würde in der Fülle der Zeiten: alles unter ein Haupt zu bringen in Christus, was im Himmel und was auf Erden ist, in ihm.
11 in whom we were also assigned an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him[F] who works all things according to the decision of His will,
In ihm haben auch wir Anteil erlangt, die wir vorherbestimmt waren nach dem Vorsatz dessen, der alles wirkt nach dem Ratschluß seines Willens,
12 so that we should be to the praise of His glory, we who first trusted in the Christ;
daß wir zum Lobe seiner Herrlichkeit dienten, die wir zuvor auf Christus gehofft hatten;
13 about whom, to be sure, we had heard the true Word—the Gospel of your salvation; by whom, since you also believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
in ihm [seid] auch ihr, nachdem ihr das Wort der Wahrheit, das Evangelium eurer Rettung gehört habt, in ihm seid auch ihr, als ihr glaubtet, versiegelt worden mit dem heiligen Geiste der Verheißung,
14 who is the down payment on our inheritance until the release of the possession, to the praise of His glory.
welcher das Pfand unsres Erbes ist bis zur Erlösung des Eigentums, zum Preise seiner Herrlichkeit.
15 Because of this, having heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints,
Darum lasse auch ich, nachdem ich von eurem Glauben an den Herrn Jesus und von der Liebe zu allen Heiligen gehört habe,
16 I really do not stop giving thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
nicht ab, für euch zu danken und in meinen Gebeten euer zu gedenken,
17 that the God of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the real knowledge of Himself,
daß der Gott unsres Herrn Jesus Christus, der Vater der Herrlichkeit, euch den Geist der Weisheit und Offenbarung gebe in der Erkenntnis seiner selbst,
18 the eyes of your heart having been enlightened, that you may know 1) what is the hope of His[F] calling, and 2) what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
erleuchtete Augen des Herzens, damit ihr wißt, welches die Hoffnung seiner Berufung und welches der Reichtum der Herrlichkeit seines Erbes in den Heiligen sei,
19 and 3) what the exceeding greatness of His power into us who are believing, according to the demonstration of the extent of His might
welches auch die überwältigende Größe seiner Macht sei an uns, die wir glauben, vermöge der Wirksamkeit der Macht seiner Stärke,
20 which He exercised in the Christ when He raised Him[S] from among the dead and seated Him at His[F] right, in the heavenly realms,
welche er wirksam gemacht hat in Christus, als er ihn aus den Toten auferweckte und ihn zu seiner Rechten setzte in den himmlischen [Regionen],
21 far above every ruler and authority and power and dominion—even every name that can be named, not only in this age but also in the next. (aiōn g165)
hoch über jedes Fürstentum und [jede] Gewalt, Macht und Herrschaft und jeden Namen, der genannt wird nicht allein in diesem Zeitalter, sondern auch in dem zukünftigen (aiōn g165)
22 In short, He[F] placed everything under His[S] feet, and appointed Him to be Head over everything in the Church,
und wobei er alles unter seine Füße tat und ihn zum Haupt über alles der Gemeinde gab,
23 which is His body, the complement of Him who fills everything in every way.
welche sein Leib ist, die Fülle dessen, der alles in allen erfüllt;
