< 2 Peter 2 >

1 However, there were also false prophets among the people, just as, indeed, there will be false teachers among you, who will introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Owner who bought them (bringing on themselves swift destruction).
Shin worddo nabeti kase asaa giddon de7eyssa mela ha77ika worddo asttamaareti hintte giddon denddana. Entti banttana wozida, Godaa kaddidi, dhayssiya worddo timirttiya ehana. Hessan entti bantta bolla ellesidi dhayo ehoosona.
2 And many will follow their licentious ways, because of which the way of the Truth will be defamed.
Daro asay yeellayiya entta iita ogiya kaallana; entta gaason tuma ogey cayettana.
3 And in covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; since way back the judgment for such people is not slack, and their destruction will not sleep.
Worddo asttamaareti miishe yaaridi banttaw medhdhi kessida hayssen hinttena bonqana. Benippe doomidi entta pirdday giigi uttis; entta dhayoykka enttana naagi uttis.
4 Because if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but delivered them into chains of darkness, confining them in Tartarus to be reserved for judgment, (Tartaroō g5020)
Nagara oothida kiitanchchotas Xoossay qadhettonna, pirdda gallas gakkanaw gaanname dhuma ollan entta qachchi yeggis. (Tartaroō g5020)
5 and did not spare the ancient world but preserved Noah, with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when He brought a flood on the world of the ungodly,
Hessadakka, Xoossay xillotethabaa odiya Nohenne hara laappun asata ashshidi, Xoossaa goynnona asay de7iya beni alamiya qadhettonna bashsha haathan dhayssis.
6 and condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction, reducing them to ashes (providing a warning to those who are intent on being ungodly),
Geellatas leemiso gidana mela Xoossay Soodomenne Gamoora katamata bido oothidi xuuggidi dhayssis.
7 while He rescued upright Lot, who was distressed by the licentious lifestyle of the wicked
Higges kiitettonna laymatiya asata giddon waayettishe de7ida xillo Looxe Xoossay ashshis.
8 (for that upright man, dwelling among them, tormented an upright soul from day to day by seeing and hearing lawless deeds)
He xillo addey entta giddon de7ishe, entti oothiya iita oosuwa gallas gallas be7ida wodenne si7ida wode iya lo77o wozanay un77ettees.
9 —then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of testings and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,
Hessa gidikko, Goday, bana goynniya asata paaceppe waati ashshaneekko, qassi nagaranchchota pirdda gallasaas gakkanaw waattidi seerishe naagisaneekko erees.
10 and especially those who go after the flesh in the lust for defilement, and despise authority. They are audacious, self-willed; they are not afraid to revile majestic beings,
Ubbaafe aathidi tuna amon asho qofa kaalleyssatanne maata aawata kadheyssata, pirdda gallas gakkanaw Goday naagisis. He asati ganjje minonne otoranchcho gidiya gisho, salo medhetethata cayishe yayyokonna.
11 whereas angels, though being greater in might and power, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.
Shin kiitanchchoti worddo asttamaaretappe wolqqaninne minotethan daro aadhdhoosonashin Godaa sinthan salo medhetethata cayokkona.
12 But these, as unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct made to be caught and destroyed, spouting off in matters of which they are ignorant, will be destroyed by their own depravity,
Shin he asati bantta eronnaban gelidi cayoosona. Entti oykettanawnne hayqqanaw yelettida, wozani baynna do7a mela hanoosona; enttika wora do7ada coo dhayana.
13 receiving the wages of unrighteousness. Counting it a pleasure to carouse in the daytime, they are stains and blemishes, reveling in their own deceptions while they feast with you,
Entti gathida metuwada zaari metootana. Seeta gallas yexxishe guppeyssa ufayssiyabaa gidi qoppoosona. Entti kawushshatanne tunata gidi de7ishe hinttera shaakettiya siiqo imatuwan ufayttoosona.
14 having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls; having a heart trained in greediness they are children of a curse;
Laymatiya maccasi xeellidi aggonna ayfey enttaw de7ees; qassi nagara ootheyssa aggokona. Ammanon minniboonna asaa cimmoosona. Enttaw ubba wode amottiya wozani de7ees; entti qanggettidayssata.
15 having forsaken the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
Entti suure oge aggidi, makkala miishe siiqidi balida, Bi7oora na7aa Balaama ogiya kaallidosona.
16 but he got a rebuke for his wrongdoing—a mute donkey speaking with a human voice restrained the insanity of the prophet.
I ba nagara gaason hanqettis; dooni baynna harey asada haasayidi nabiya gooshshatethaa teqqis.
17 These are waterless springs, clouds driven by a storm, for whom the blackest of the darkness has been reserved forever. (questioned)
He asati melida pulttota melanne carkkoy tookkidi efiya shaara mela; entta naagey sakkana dhumaa. (questioned)
18 Because speaking pompous words of emptiness they entice through fleshly lusts, through licentiousness, those who have actually escaped from those who are living in error,
Entti hadanne otoro oda odettishe balan de7iya asaa giddofe kessi ekkidi buroo minniboonna asata laymatetha asho amon cimmidi balethoosona.
19 promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.
Entti banttaw dhayo aylletethan de7ishe haratakko, “Hintte aylletethafe keyana” yaagosona. Ays giikko, asi ba xoonettidaba ubbaas aylle.
20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the real knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter circumstances have become worse for them than the first ones.
Entti ashshiya nu Godaa Yesuus Kiristtoosa eridi ha alamiya tunatethaafe kessi ekkidaappe guye, zaari qaxettidi xoonettiko kase de7iya de7uwappe guyeyssi enttaw iita gidana.
21 For it would have been better for them not to have really known the way of the righteousness, than having really known it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
Entti xillotetha ogiya eri simmidi aggeyssafe koyrottidi geeshsha kiitta eronnaako enttaw lo77oshin.
22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: a dog returns to its own vomit and a bathed sow to wallowing in mud.
“Kani ba cooshshaako guye simmees” qassi, “Meecettida gudunthoy guye simmidi urqqan gonddorettees” giya leemisoy tuma gideyssi entta bolla oothees.
