< 2 Corinthians 2 >

1 Actually, I determined this within myself, that I would not come again to you in sorrow.
Nangmih a venawh kawseet doena am ka lawnaak bai aham kaw poek nyng.
2 For if I make you sorrowful, then who will make me glad, besides the one whom I made sorrowful?
Nangmih kaw ka ni seet sak khqi mantaw, u ing nu kak kaw a ni zeel sak hly chang bai?
3 And I wrote this very thing to you so as not to have sorrow from those who ought to make me rejoice, when I come, having confidence in you all that my joy is also yours.
Kai anik zeel sak hly kawi nangmih a venna ka law awh kak kaw ama seetnaak aham vemyihna ca ni qee law pek khqi nyng. Nami ni zeel pyi thainaak aham, nangmih boeih ve ni yp nak khqi nyng.
4 Now I wrote to you out of great distress and anguish of heart, with many tears, not that you should be made sorrowful, but that you might know the greatness of my love for you.
Nangmih kaw seet sak aham am nawh ni lungnaak khqi soeih nyng tice nami simnaak thai aham, kawseet mikphli tui a baw doena ca ni pat lawk khqi nyng.
5 So, if anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has all of you, to some extent—not to be too ‘heavy’.
U ingawm kawseetnaak a sai awhtaw, kai anik kawseet sak anglakawh nangmih boeih ni anik kawseet sak khqi ngai hy – ak tlo soeih na koeh poek law aih uh.
6 This punishment that was inflicted by the majority is sufficient to such a one,
Thlang khawzah ing a toel cemah anih aham khoek da hawh hy.
7 so that now, on the other side, you should forgive and comfort him, so that he not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.
Ce anglakawhtaw, ak kaw ama seetnaak aham anih ce qeenkhaw ngai pe unawh ngaihdingnaak awi namik kqawn peek aham awm hy.
8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him.
Cedawngawh, anih ce nami lungnaak tlaih ahamni thoeh lawk khqi nyng.
9 Now I also wrote to this end: to put you to the test, to see whether you are obedient in all things.
Ni hu awh ca ka ni qee law peek khqi taw sykzoeknaak awh ak cak na naming dyih nawh ik-oeih a soep a hoei awh awi namik ngai hy voei nu tice sim ka ngaihnaak awh ni.
10 If you forgive anyone, I do too; further, if indeed I have forgiven anything to someone, I have done so for your sakes in the presence of Christ,
Nangmih ing qeenkhaw ngai hawh nyng. Ik-oeih pynoet oet awh qeenkhaw ngai aham awm nawh kai ing qeenkhaw kang ngai hawh awhtaw – nangmih aham Khrih a mikhuh awh ni kai ing anih ce qeenkhaw kang ngai hawh hy,
11 so that we not be exploited by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his intentions.
cetaw Setan ing ningnih awh a tym leek a huhnaak thai ahamni. Ikawtih anih ang cainaak ce ni sim boeih uhy.
12 Also, upon arriving in Troas for the Gospel of Christ, a door having been opened to me by Sovereign,
Khrih ak awithang leek khypyi aham Troas khaw na ka ceh awh, Bawipa ing chawh awng law hy tice hu nyng,
13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; so taking leave of them I went on into Macedonia.
Cehlai ka naa Tita ce cawh am ka huh dawngawh kang ngaih am qep hy. Cedawngawh a mingmih ce kut tlaih nyng saw Madedonia na cet poe nyng.
14 Now thanks be to the God who always leads us in triumph in the Christ, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him in every place.
Khrih awh noengnaak ing ningnih anik sawikung ingkaw, amah a cyihnaak bawktui a hun hoei awh ak khyn sak kung, Khawsa venawh zeel nyng.
15 Because we are the aroma of Christ for God, among those who are being saved and among those who are being wasted—
Ikawtih ningnih taw hulna ak awm huikhqi ingkaw ak plalthamkhqi aham Khawsa venawh Khrih a bawktui na ni awm uhy.
16 to these a smell of death into death, while to those a fragrance of life into life—and who is adequate for such things?
Pynoet a venawh thihnaak a baw na nik khqim unawh; pynoet a venawh taw hqingnaak a bawktui na ni awm uhy. Ve a ik-oeih awh ve ang amyihna u nu ak awm bawk hly thai?
17 However, we are not like the rest who retail the word of God; rather, we speak in Christ, out of sincerity, as of God in His very presence.
Thlang khawzah amyihna a awm kaana, Khawsak awi ve hawihkhangnaak huhnaak a aham amni haw na uhy. Vemyihna a awm kaana, Khawsa ing a tyih thlangkhqi amyihna, Khawsa haiawh Khrih awh ce kawlung tang tang ing ningnih ing awi nik kqawn uhy.
