< 1 Timothy 4 >
1 Now the Spirit says explicitly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceiving spirits and to things taught by demons
Mweya anotaura pachena kuti panguva dzinouya vamwe vachatsauka kubva pakutenda vagotevera mweya inonyengera nedzidziso dzamadhimoni.
2 —through hypocritical liars whose own consciences have been cauterized,
Dzidziso dzakadai dzinouya navaya vanoreva nhema, vane hana dzakapiswa sokunge nesimbi inopisa.
3 who forbid to marry and to eat foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and really know the truth.
Vanodzivisa vanhu kuwanana uye vachivarayira kuti varege kudya zvimwe zvokudya, izvo zvakasikwa naMwari kuti zvigamuchirwe nokuvonga naavo vanotenda uye vanoziva chokwadi.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,
Nokuti chose chakasikwa naMwari chakanaka, uye hapana chinofanira kuraswa kana chichigamuchirwa nokuvonga,
5 because it is consecrated through the Word of God and prayer.
nokuti chinoitwa chitsvene neshoko raMwari nokunyengetera.
6 If you instruct the brothers in these things you will be a good servant of Jesus Christ, brought up in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have faithfully followed.
Kana ukadzidzisa hama zvinhu izvi, uchava mushumiri akanaka waKristu Jesu, akarerwa muzvokwadi yokutenda uye nedzidziso yakanaka yawakatevera.
7 But reject godless myths and old-wives' tales; rather, exercise yourself toward godliness.
Siyana nengano dzisina umwari uye nengano dzechembere; asi uzvirovedzere paumwari.
8 Now physical exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, holding promises for both this present life and the one to come.
Nokuti kurovedza muviri kunobatsira zvishoma hako asi umwari hunokosha pazvinhu zvose, hune vimbiso kune zvose muupenyu huno uye nomuupenyu hunouya.
9 Here is a trustworthy word, worthy of total acceptance
Iri ishoko rechokwadi rinofanira kutendwa zvizere
10 (which is also why we labor and suffer reproach): We have set our hope on the living God, who is ‘Savior of all men’, especially of those who believe.
uye nokuda kwaizvozvi tinoshingaira nokurwa, nokuti takaisa tariro yedu muna Mwari mupenyu, anova ndiye muponesi wavanhu vose uye zvikuru sei vaya vanotenda.
11 Command and teach these things.
Rayira uye udzidzise zvinhu izvi.
12 Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Ngakurege kuva nomunhu anokuzvidza nokuda kwouduku hwako, asi uve muenzaniso kuvatendi mukutaura, muupenyu, murudo, mukutenda uye napakuchena kwomwoyo.
13 Until I come give attention to public reading [of Scripture], to exhortation, to teaching.
Kusvikira ndauya, shingaira pakuverenga Rugwaro kukereke, kuparidza nokudzidzisa.
14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was ‘given’ to you through prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the body of elders.
Usarega kushandisa chipo chako, chakapiwa kwauri kubudikidza neshoko rechiprofita pawakaiswa maoko pamusoro navakuru.
15 Cultivate these things; give yourself wholly to them, so that your progress may be evident to all.
Shingaira pazvinhu izvi, uzviite nomwoyo wako wose, kuitira kuti munhu wose aone kupfuurira mberi kwako.
16 Take pains with yourself and the doctrine; persevere in those things, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
Uzvichengete kwazvo iwe nedzidziso yako. Utsungirire pazviri, nokuti kana ukazviita, uchazviponesa iwe navanokunzwa.
