< 1 Thessalonians 4 >
1 Finally then, brothers, we urge and exhort you in the Lord Jesus: as you received from us how you ought to behave and please God, do so even more
ARI, ri ai kan, je pil poeki re omail o panaui kin komail Kaun Iejuj, duen me komail aleer jan kit, o duen me komail en kekeideki wei, o kaperenda Kot, iduen omail kakairida.
2 —you know what instructions we gave you through Sovereign Jesus.
Pwe komail aja duen kujoned akan, me je pan on komail ren Kaun Iejuj.
3 Now this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you stay away from fornication;
Pwe iet kupur en Kot, omail jarauila, pwe komail en liki jan nenek.
4 that each of you know how to gain possession of his own ‘vessel’ in sanctification and honor,
Amen amen en kanai on pein war a, pwen jaraui o wau o liki jan inon jued,
5 not in lustful passion (like the heathen who do not know God);
Kaidin ni dender on inon jued duen men liki kan, me jo aja Kot;
6 that no one trespass and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such behavior, as, indeed, we have already told you and warned you.
O jota me pan piti de kajapuni on ri a ni meakot, pwe Kaun o pan kotin iki on i, duen me kit inda o kadede on komail er maj o.
7 Because God did not call us for uncleanness, but by holiness.
Pwe Kot jota molipei kitail on jamin, a pwen jaraui.
8 So then, the rejecter is not rejecting man, but God, the very One who gave you His Holy Spirit.
A ma amen komail pan mamaleki mepukat, kaidin aramaj me a pan mamaleki pwe Kot, me pil kotiki on komail er japwilim a Nen jaraui.
9 Now about brotherly love you do not need to be written to, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,
A duen limpok en jaulan, menda i en intinki won komail, pwe pein komail padakki jan ren Kot, me komail en pokepena.
10 because in fact you are doing so toward all the brothers throughout Macedonia. Still, we exhort you to do even more, brothers,
Nan met komail kin wiai on jaulan karoj, me mimi Majetonien pon. A je panaui kin komail ri at akan, komail en kakairida.
11 to make it a point to be peaceable and to mind your own business, to work with your hands (as we instructed you),
O komail nenenla o inon ion apwali pein omail dodok, kadokeki pein pa omail, duen me je padaki on komail er,
12 so that outsiders may be well impressed by your life style, and that you may have no lack.
Pwe komail en janjal mau mon me mi liki kan, o komail der mau on amen en apwali komail.
13 Now then, brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who have ‘fallen asleep’, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.
Ri ai kan, je jota men oki jan komail duen me mairelar akan, pwe komail der injenjued dueta irail, me jota ar kaporopor.
14 Because since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, just so will God bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.
Pwe ma kitail kamelele, me Iejuj matala ap iajadar, nan iduen me mairelar ren Iejuj, Kot pil pan kalua ir ala re a.
15 For this we say to you by a word of the Lord, that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will absolutely not precede those who have fallen asleep;
Pwe ieteten me je indan komail ni majan en Kaun o, kit me memaureta lao Kaun o pan kotin pwarado, jota pan ko wei mon me mair akan.
16 because the Lord Himself—with a commanding shout, with the archangel's voice and with God's trumpet—will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first;
Pwe pein Kaun o pan kotido jan nanlan ki majan laud, o kapiti en toulan lapalap amen, o koronete en Kot; me melar akan ren Krijtuj ap pan maureda maj.
17 then we who are still alive, who are left, will be snatched up together with them in clouds to meet the Lord in the air. In precisely this way we will always be with the Lord.
Kit me memaureta luadi ap pan ian ir peukadala nan dapok kan, ko on ren Kaun o nan wawa, kitail ap pan mimieta ren Kaun o kokolata.
18 So then, comfort one another with these words.
Komail ari kamaiteki komail la padak pot et.
