1 John 5
1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ has been begotten by God; also, whoever loves the Begetter should love the one begotten by Him as well.
Ո՛վ որ կը հաւատայ թէ Յիսուս՝ Քրիստո՛սն է, ծնած է Աստուծմէ. եւ ո՛վ որ կը սիրէ ծնողը՝ կը սիրէ նաեւ անկէ ծնածը:
2 In this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments.
Երբ սիրենք Աստուած ու պահենք անոր պատուիրանները, ատով կը գիտնանք թէ կը սիրենք Աստուծոյ զաւակները:
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; His commandments are not burdensome,
Քանի որ սա՛ է Աստուծոյ սէրը.- պահել անոր պատուիրանները: Իսկ անոր պատուիրանները ծանր չեն,
4 in that whatever has been begotten by God overcomes the world; this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
որովհետեւ ո՛վ որ Աստուծմէ ծնած է՝ կը յաղթէ աշխարհին. մեր հաւատքն է որ կը յաղթէ աշխարհին՝՝:
5 Who is he who overcomes the world if not he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Ո՞վ կը յաղթէ աշխարհին, եթէ ոչ ա՛ն՝ որ կը հաւատայ թէ Յիսուս Աստուծոյ Որդին է:
6 This is He who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ—not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the Truth;
Ի՛նքն է՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոս՝ որ եկաւ ջուրով ու արիւնով. ո՛չ միայն ջուրով, հապա՝ ջուրով եւ արիւնով. ու Հոգի՛ն է որ կը վկայէ, որովհետեւ Հոգին ճշմարտութիւն է:
7 actually there are three who bear witness
Արդարեւ երե՛ք են՝ որ կը վկայեն երկինքի մէջ.- Հայրը, Խօսքը եւ Սուրբ Հոգին, ու այս երեքը մէկ են:
8 —the Spirit, the water and the blood—and the three are to one effect.
Նաեւ երե՛ք են՝ որ կը վկայեն երկրի վրայ՝՝.- Հոգին, ջուրը եւ արիւնը, ու այս երեքը միաձայն են:
9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for this is God's testimony which He has testified concerning His Son.
Եթէ կ՚ընդունինք մարդոց վկայութիւնը, Աստուծոյ վկայութիւնը աւելի մեծ է. որովհետեւ ա՛յս է Աստուծոյ վկայութիւնը՝ որ տուաւ իր Որդիին մասին:
10 He who believes into the Son of God has the witness within himself; he who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning His Son.
Ա՛ն որ կը հաւատայ Աստուծոյ Որդիին՝ իր մէջ ունի այս վկայութիւնը: Ա՛ն որ չի հաւատար Աստուծոյ՝ ստախօս կը նկատէ՝՝ զայն, որովհետեւ չի հաւատար այն վկայութեան՝ որ Աստուած տուաւ իր Որդիին մասին:
11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. (aiōnios g166)
Իսկ սա՛ է վկայութիւնը.- Աստուած տուաւ մեզի յաւիտենական կեանքը, եւ այս կեանքը անոր Որդիին մէջ է: (aiōnios g166)
12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
Ա՛ն որ ունի Որդին՝ ունի կեանքը. ա՛ն որ չունի Աստուծոյ Որդին՝ չունի կեանքը:
13 I have written these things to you who believe into the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life, really believing into the name of God's Son. (aiōnios g166)
Գրեցի այս բաները ձեզի՝ որ կը հաւատաք Աստուծոյ Որդիին անունին, որպէսզի գիտնաք թէ ունիք յաւիտենական կեանքը: (aiōnios g166)
14 Now this is the confidence that we have toward Him: if we should ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
Այն համարձակութիւնը որ ունինք անոր քով՝ սա՛ է.- եթէ որեւէ բան խնդրենք իր կամքին համաձայն, կը լսէ մեզ:
15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we may ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him.
Ու եթէ գիտե՛նք թէ կը լսէ մեզ՝ ի՛նչ որ ալ խնդրենք, գիտենք նաեւ թէ կ՚ունենանք այն բաները՝ որ կը խնդրենք իրմէ:
16 If anyone should see his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, let him ask, and He will give him life for those who do not sin unto death. There is sin leading to death; I am not saying that he should make request about that.
Եթէ մէկը տեսնէ թէ իր եղբայրը կը գործէ մեղք մը՝ որ մահացու չէ, թող խնդրէ, եւ Աստուած կեանք պիտի տայ անոր, այսինքն անոնց՝ որ մահացու մեղք չեն գործեր: Մեղք կայ՝ որ մահացու է. չեմ ըսեր որ թախանձէ անոր համար:
17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.
Ամէն անիրաւութիւն մեղք է, բայց մեղք կայ՝ որ մահացու չէ:
18 We know that whoever has been begotten by God does not sin; rather the one who was begotten by God preserves himself, and the evil one does not touch him.
Գիտենք թէ ո՛վ որ Աստուծմէ ծնած է՝ չի մեղանչեր: Ո՛վ որ Աստուծմէ ծնած է՝ կը պահէ ինքզինք, ու Չարը չի դպչիր իրեն:
19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
Գիտենք թէ մենք Աստուծմէ ենք, իսկ ամբողջ աշխարհը Չարին մէջ մխրճուած է:
20 We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the genuine God, and the Life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
Նաեւ գիտենք թէ Աստուծոյ Որդին եկաւ, եւ ուշիմութիւն տուաւ մեզի՝ որպէսզի ճանչնանք Ճշմարիտը: Ու մենք այդ Ճշմարիտին մէջ ենք, անոր Որդիին՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի մէջ. ի՛նքն է ճշմարիտ Աստուածը եւ յաւիտենական կեանքը: (aiōnios g166)
21 Dear children, guard yourselves from idols. Amen.
Որդեակնե՛ր, զգուշացէ՛ք կուռքերէն:
