< 1 John 3 >

1 Consider how great a love the Father has bestowed on us that we should be called children of God! The world does not acknowledge us for this reason: it did not acknowledge Him.
Mano kaka hera ma Wuoro oherowago duongʼ kuom luongowa ni nyithind Nyasaye. Kendo mano e gima wan! Gimomiyo piny, ok ongʼeyowa en nikech piny ne ok ongʼeye.
2 Dear ones, right now we are children of God and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is
Osiepena mageno, koro wan nyithind Nyasaye, to kaka wabiro bedo achien pok ongʼere. To wangʼeyo ni ka Kristo nofwenyre, to wanabed machal kode, nikech wananene kaka ochal.
3 —everyone who has this hope upon him purifies himself, even as He is pure.
Ngʼato ka ngʼato man-gi genoni pwodhore owuon mondo osik koler mana kaka en bende oler.
4 Everyone who commits sin commits lawlessness as well; yes, sin is lawlessness.
Ji matimo richo ketho chik; chutho, richo en ketho chik.
5 And you know that He was revealed in order to remove our sins—in Him there is no sin.
To ungʼeyo ni Kristo nobiro mondo ogol richowa. Ungʼeyo bende ni richo onge kuome.
6 Whoever is abiding in Him does not sin; indeed, whoever is sinning has neither seen Him nor known Him.
Ngʼat man kuom Kristo ok sik katimo richo. Ngʼat mosiko katimo richo pok onene kendo okiaye.
7 Dear children, let no one mislead you; he who keeps doing righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
Nyithinda mageno, kik uyie ngʼato wuondu. Ngʼat matimo gima kare en ngʼama kare, mana kaka en bende en ngʼama kare.
8 He who keeps doing sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was manifested for this purpose: to undo the devil's works.
Ngʼat mosiko katimo richo en ngʼat Satan, nikech Satan osiko katimo richo nyaka aa chakruok. Gimomiyo Wuod Nyasaye nobiro ne en ni mondo otiek tich Satan.
9 Whoever has been begotten by God does not commit sin, because His seed remains in him; actually, he is not able to sin, because he has been begotten by God.
Ngʼama Nyasaye onywolo ok dhi nyime katimo richo, nikech kit Nyasaye osiko kuome. Ok onyal timo richo onywole kuom Nyasaye.
10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are distinguished: whoever is not doing righteousness is not of God, also whoever is not loving his brother.
Kaka wanyalo ngʼeyo pogruok manie kind nyithind Nyasaye gi nyithind Satan ema: Ngʼat ma ok tim gima kare kendo ma ok ohero owadgi ok en nyathi Nyasaye.
11 Because this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another
Wach mane uwinjo nyaka aa chakruok ema: Nyaka waherreuru ngʼato gi ngʼato.
12 —not like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own works were evil, while those of his brother were righteous.
Kik wachal gi Kain mane en koth ngʼama rach, omiyo nonego owadgi mahie. To nonego owadgi nangʼo? Nonego owadgi nikech timbene ne richo, to timbe owadgi ne ni kare.
13 My brothers, do not be surprised if the world hates you.
Kuom mano, owetena kik ubwogi ka jopiny mon kodu.
14 We know that we have transferred out of the death into the life because we love our brothers; he who does not love his brother remains in the death.
Wangʼeyo ni wasekalo waa e tho miwadonjo e ngima, nikech wahero owetewa. Ngʼama ok ohero owadgi osiko e tho.
15 Whoever is hating his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding within himself. (aiōnios g166)
Ngʼama mon gi owadgi en janek, to ungʼeyo ni janek onge gi ngima mochwere. (aiōnios g166)
16 We know the Love by this: He laid down His life in our behalf; we also are obligated to lay down our lives in behalf of our brothers.
Ma e kaka wangʼeyo gima hera en; Kristo nochiwonwa ngimane. Wan bende onego wachiw ngimawa ni owetewa.
17 Now whoever has this world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart toward him—how does the love of God abide in him?
Ka ngʼato jamoko to oneno owadgi kochando to ok okeche, ere kaka ngʼama kamano nyalo wacho ni en gihera mar Nyasaye?
18 My dear children, let us not love in word or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth
Nyithinda mageno, kik wawach mana gi dhowa ni wahero ji, to waher ji gi tim kendo gi adiera.
19 —yes, by this we know that we are of the Truth and may put our hearts at ease in His presence,
Mano e yo ma wangʼeyogo ni wachungʼ e adiera, kendo mabiro miyo chunywa bed gi chir e nyim Nyasaye
20 and that, if our heart should condemn us, God is greater than our heart and knows all.
sa moro amora ma chunywa ngʼadonwa bura. Nikech Nyasaye duongʼ moloyo chunywa, kendo ongʼeyo gik moko duto.
21 Dear ones, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God,
Omiyo, osiepega mageno, ka chunywa ok ngʼadnwa bura to wan gi chir e nyim Nyasaye.
22 and whatever we may ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
To wayudo koa kuome, gimoro amora mwakwaye nikech wamako chikene kendo watimo gik mamore.
23 Now this is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded.
To ma e chik Nyasaye: ni mondo wayie e nying Wuode Yesu Kristo kendo mondo waherre ngʼato gi ngʼato, mana kaka Kristo nochikowa.
24 He who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. This is how we know that He remains in us: by the Spirit whom He gave us.
Joma orito chike Nyasaye ni kuome to en bende en kuomgi. To ma e kaka wangʼeyo ni Nyasaye odak eiwa: Wangʼeyo nikech Roho ma osemiyowa.
