< 1 Corinthians 3 >

1 Brothers, I was not able to address you as spiritual, but as fleshly, as infants in Christ.
Ta ishato, hintte Kiristtoosan buroo yooganne ammanonna asaatho de7iya gisho, taani ayyaanabaa hinttew odanaw dandda7abiikke.
2 I gave you milk and not solid food, because you were not ready yet. Alas, you are still not ready,
Hintte mino kathi maanaw dandda7iboonna gisho, taani hinttena maathi paahas; ha77ika dandda7ibeekketa.
3 because you are still fleshly! For since there is envy, strife and divisions among you, are you not carnal and acting like ordinary people?
Ha77ika hintte ammanonna asada de7eeta. Hintte giddon de7iya qanaateynne palamay hintte ammanonna asada de7eyssa erisenne? Hintte ammanonna asada haneeta.
4 For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?
Hinttefe issoy, “Taani Phawuloosassa” haray qassi, “Taani Aphiloosassa” giikko, ammanonna asa mela gidekketii?
5 Who then is Paul, who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord has given to each one?
Yaatin, Aphiloosi oonee? Phawuloosi oonee? Nuuni hinttena ammanthida Xoossaa oosaanchchota. Xoossay issuwas issuwas immida oosuwa mela oothiya oosanchchota gidokkonaayye?
6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God keeps making it grow.
Ta tokkas; Aphiloosi haathe ushshis, shin dichchey Xoossaa.
7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who makes it grow.
Hessa gisho, dichchida Xoossaafe attin tokkayka haathe ushsheyka aykkoka gidenna.
8 Now he who plants and he who waters are at one, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
Tokkeynne haathe ushshey woli mela, shin issoy issoy ba oosuwa mela Xoossay immiya woytuwa ekkana.
9 Yes, we are God's coworkers; you are God's ‘field’, God's ‘building’.
Nuuni issife Xoossaas oothiya iya oosanchchota gidiya gisho, hintte Xoossaa shooqa; Xoossaa keethi.
10 According to the grace of God that was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid a foundation, while another builds on it. But let each one be careful how he builds;
Xoossay taw immida aadho keehatethaa mela hiillanchcho anaaxeda baasuwa yeggas. Hara uray iya bolla keexes. Shin iya bolla keexiya oonikka waattidi keexiyako, baw naagetto.
11 for no one can lay any foundation other than what is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Issi toho yegettida baasuwappe hara baaso yegganaw oonikka dandda7enna. He baasoykka Yesuus Kiristtoosa.
12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
Shin ha baasuwa bolla oonikka worqqan woykko biran gidin, al77o shuchchan woykko mithan gidin, maatan woykko maqan keexiko,
13 the work of each will become evident; because the Day will make it clear, because it will be revealed by fire. Yes, the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is.
issi issi asi he baasuwa bolla aybin keexidaakko pirdda gallas taman paacettidi qonccana.
14 If the work that anyone built endures, he will receive a reward.
Oonikka he baasuwa bolla keexida keethay taman xuugettonna attiko, ba woytuwa ekkana.
15 If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, albeit so as through fire.
Shin oode oosoykka taman xuugetiko, he uraas woytoy baawa. Gidoshin, I ba huu7en tamappe kessi ekkida asada attana.
16 Do you (pl) not know that you are a temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in you?
Hintte Xoossaa keethi gideyssanne Xoossaa Ayyaanay hinttenan de7eyssa erekketii?
17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; because God's temple, which you are, is holy.
Oonikka Xoossaa keethi laallikko, Xoossaykka iya laallana. Xoossaa keethay geeshshi; he keethayka hinttena.
18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become ‘foolish’ so that he may become wise. (aiōn g165)
Oonikka bana cimmofo. Ha sa7aa cinccatethan bana cincca oothidi ekkiya oonikka Xoossaa sinthan cincca gidanaw eeya gido. (aiōn g165)
19 Because the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”;
Ha sa7aa cinccatethay Xoossaa sinthan eeyatethi. Geeshsha Maxaafan, “Xoossay cinccata entta gene qofan oykkees” yaagees.
20 and again, “The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are futile.”
Qassi, “Cinccata qofay maaddonnabaa gideyssa Goday erees” yaagees.
21 So then, let no one boast in men, for all things are yours:
Hessa gisho, ubbay hinttessa gidiya gisho, oonikka asan ceeqettofo.
22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, whether the world or life or death, whether things present or things to come—all are yours,
Phawuloosi, Aphiloosinne Phexiroosi, ha alamey, de7oy, hayqoy, ha77i de7ey, sinthafe yaanayssi, ubbay hinttessa.
23 and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.
Hintte Kiristtoosassa; Kiristtoosikka Xoossassa.
