< Song of Solomon 7 >

1 What shalt thou see in the Sulamitess but the companies of camps? How beautiful are thy steps in shoes, O prince’s daughter! The joints of thy thighs are like jewels, that are made by the hand of a skillful workman.
How beautiful your feet appear in your sandals, prince's daughter! The curves of your thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a master craftsman.
2 Thy navel is like a round bowl never wanting cups. Thy belly is like a heap of wheat, set about with lilies.
Your navel is like a round bowl; may it never lack mixed wine. Your belly is like a mound of wheat encircled with lilies.
3 Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins.
Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle.
4 Thy neck as a tower of ivory. Thy eyes like the fishpools in Hesebon, which are in the gate of the daughter of the multitude. Thy nose is as the tower of Libanus, that looketh toward Damascus.
Your neck is like a tower of ivory; your eyes are the pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bath Rabbim. Your nose is like the tower in Lebanon that looks toward Damascus.
5 Thy head is like Carmel: and the hairs of thy head as the purple of the king bound in the channels.
Your head is on you like Carmel; the hair on your head is dark purple. The king is held captive by its tresses.
6 How beautiful art thou, and how comely, my dearest, in delights!
How beautiful and how lovely you are, my love, with delights!
7 Thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes.
Your height is like that of a date palm tree, and your breasts like clusters of fruit.
8 I said: I will go up into the palm tree, and will take hold of the fruit thereof: and thy breasts shall be as the clusters of the vine: and the odour of thy mouth like apples.
I said, “I want to climb that palm tree; I will take hold of its branches.” May your breasts be like clusters of grapes, and may the fragrance of your nose be like apricots.
9 Thy throat like the best wine, worthy for my beloved to drink, and for his lips and his teeth to ruminate.
May your palate be like the best wine, flowing smoothly for my beloved, gliding over the lips of those who sleep.
10 I to my beloved, and his turning is towards me.
I am my beloved's, and he desires me.
11 Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field, let us abide in the villages.
Come, my beloved, let us go out into the countryside; let us spend the night in the villages.
12 Let us get up early to the vineyards, let us see if the vineyard flourish, if the flowers be ready to bring forth fruits, if the pomegranates flourish: there will I give thee my breasts.
Let us rise early to go to the vineyards; let us see whether the vines have budded, whether their blossoms have opened, and whether the pomegranates are in flower. There I will give you my love.
13 The mandrakes give a smell. In our gates are all fruits: the new and the old, my beloved, I have kept for thee.
The mandrakes give off their fragrance; at the door where we are staying are all sorts of choice fruits, new and old, that I have stored up for you, my beloved.
