Romans 12
1 I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercy of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing unto God, your reasonable service.
૧તેથી, ભાઈઓ, હું તમને વિનંતી કરું છું કે, ઈશ્વરની દયા પ્રાપ્ત કરવા તમે તમારાં શરીરોનું જીવતું, પવિત્ર તથા ઈશ્વરને પસંદ પડે તેવું, અર્પણ કરો; તે તમારી બુદ્ધિપૂર્વકની સેવા છે.
2 And be not conformed to this world; but be reformed in the newness of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, and the acceptable, and the perfect will of God. (aiōn g165)
૨આ જગતનું રૂપ તમે ન ધરો; પણ તમારાં મનથી નવીનતાને યોગે તમે પૂર્ણ રીતે પરિવર્તન પામો, જેથી ઈશ્વરની સારી, માન્ય તથા સંપૂર્ણ ઇચ્છા શી છે, તે તમે જાણી શકો. (aiōn g165)
3 For I say, by the grace that is given me, to all that are among you, not to be more wise than it behoveth to be wise, but to be wise unto sobriety, and according as God hath divided to every one the measure of faith.
૩વળી મને આપેલા કૃપાદાનને આશરે હું તમારામાંના દરેક જણને કહું છું કે, પોતાને જેવો ગણવો જોઈએ, તે કરતાં વિશેષ ન ગણવો; પણ જે પ્રમાણે ઈશ્વરે દરેકને વિશ્વાસનું માપ વહેંચી આપ્યું છે, તેના પ્રમાણમાં દરેકે પોતાને યોગ્ય ગણવો.
4 For as in one body we have many members, but all the members have not the same office:
૪કેમ કે જેમ આપણા શરીરનાં ઘણાં અંગો છે અને તેઓને બધાને એક જ કામ કરવાનું હોતું નથી;
5 So we being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
૫તેમ આપણે ઘણાં હોવા છતાં ખ્રિસ્તમાં એક શરીર છીએ અને અરસપરસ એકબીજાનાં અંગો છીએ.
6 And having different gifts, according to the grace that is given us, either prophecy, to be used according to the rule of faith;
૬આપણને જે કૃપા આપવામાં આવી છે, તે પ્રમાણે આપણને જુદાં જુદાં કૃપાદાન મળ્યાં છે; તેથી જો બોધ કરવાનું કૃપાદાન મળ્યું હોય, તો પોતાના વિશ્વાસના પ્રમાણમાં તેણે બોધ કરવો;
7 Or ministry, in ministering; or he that teacheth, in doctrine;
૭અથવા જો સેવાનું, તો સેવામાં લાગુ રહેવું; વળી જે શિક્ષક હોય તેણે શિક્ષણ આપવામાં લાગુ રહેવું;
8 He that exhorteth, in exhorting; he that giveth, with simplicity; he that ruleth, with carefulness; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
૮જે સુબોધ કરનાર, તેણે સુબોધ કરવામાં વ્યસ્ત રહેવું; જે દાન આપે છે, તેણે ઉદારતાથી આપવું; જે અધિકારી છે, તેણે ખંતથી અધિકાર ચલાવવો; અને જે દયા રાખે છે તેણે હર્ખથી દયા રાખવી.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Hating that which is evil, cleaving to that which is good.
૯તમારો પ્રેમ ઢોંગ વગરનો હોય. જે ખરાબ છે તેને ધિક્કારો; જે સારું છે તેને વળગી રહો.
10 Loving one another with the charity of brotherhood, with honour preventing one another.
૧૦ભાઈઓ પ્રત્યે જેવો પ્રેમ ઘટે તેવો ગાઢ પ્રેમ એકબીજા પર રાખો; માન આપવામાં પોતાના કરતાં બીજાને અધિક ગણો.
11 In carefulness not slothful. In spirit fervent. Serving the Lord.
૧૧ઉદ્યોગમાં આળસુ ન થાઓ; આત્મામાં ઉત્સાહી થાઓ; પ્રભુની સેવા કરો;
12 Rejoicing in hope. Patient in tribulation. Instant in prayer.
૧૨આશામાં આનંદ કરો; સંકટમાં ધીરજ રાખો; પ્રાર્થનામાં લાગુ રહો;
13 Communicating to the necessities of the saints. Pursuing hospitality.
૧૩સંતોની જરૂરિયાતો પૂરી પાડો; પરોણાગત કરવામાં તત્પર રહો.
14 Bless them that persecute you: bless, and curse not.
૧૪તમારા સતાવનારાઓને આશીર્વાદ આપો; આશીર્વાદ જ આપો અને શ્રાપ આપતા નહિ.
15 Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.
૧૫આનંદ કરનારાઓની સાથે આનંદ કરો; રડનારાઓની સાથે રડો.
16 Being of one mind one towards another. Not minding high things, but consenting to the humble. Be not wise in your own conceits.
૧૬અરસપરસ એક મનના થાઓ; તમારું મન મોટી બાબતો પર ન લગાડો, પણ નમ્ર ભાવે દીનોની કાળજી રાખો. તમે પોતાને બુદ્ધિમાન ન સમજો.
17 To no man rendering evil for evil. Providing good things, not only in the sight of God, but also in the sight of all men.
૧૭દુષ્ટતાની સામે દુષ્ટતા ન આચરો. બધા માણસોની નજરમાં જે શોભે છે, તે કરવાને કાળજી રાખો.
18 If it be possible, as much as is in you, have peace with all men.
૧૮જો શક્ય હોય, તો ગમે તેમ કરીને બધાં માણસોની સાથે હળીમળીને રહો.
19 Revenge not yourselves, my dearly beloved; but give place unto wrath, for it is written: Revenge is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord.
૧૯ઓ વહાલાઓ, તમે સામું વૈર ન વાળો, પણ ઈશ્વરના કોપને માટે માર્ગ મૂકો; કેમ કે લખેલું છે કે, પ્રભુ કહે છે કે, ‘વૈર વાળવું એ મારું કામ છે; હું બદલો લઈશ.’”
20 But if thy enemy be hungry, give him to eat; if he thirst, give him to drink. For, doing this, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.
૨૦પણ જો તારો વૈરી ભૂખ્યો હોય તો તેને ખવડાવ; જો તરસ્યો હોય તો તેને પાણી પા; કેમ કે એવું કરવાથી તું તેના માથા પર ધગધગતા અંગારાના ઢગલા કરીશ.
21 Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil by good.
૨૧દુષ્ટતાથી તું હારી ન જા, પણ ભલાઈથી દુષ્ટતાનો પરાજય કર.
