Romans 10
1 Brethren, the will of my heart, indeed, and my prayer to God, is for them unto salvation.
Hermanos, el deseo de mi corazón y mi oración a Dios por Israel es que puedan obtener la salvación.
2 For I bear them witness, that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
Porque les doy testimonio de que tienen un gran deseo de servir a Dios, pero no basado en el verdadero conocimiento.
3 For they, not knowing the justice of God, and seeking to establish their own, have not submitted themselves to the justice of God.
Porque, no teniendo conocimiento de la justicia de Dios, y deseando establecer su propia justicia, no se han puesto bajo la justicia de Dios.
4 For the end of the law is Christ, unto justice to every one that believeth.
Porque el fin de la ley es Cristo para justicia a todos los que tienen fe.
5 For Moses wrote, that the justice which is of the law, the man that shall do it, shall live by it.
Porque Moisés dice que el hombre que hace la justicia que es de la ley, vivirá por ella.
6 But the justice which is of faith, speaketh thus: Say not in thy heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? that is, to bring Christ down;
Pero la justicia de la fe dice estas palabras: No digan en su corazón: ¿Quién subirá al cielo? es decir, hacer que Cristo baje,
7 Or who shall descend into the deep? that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead. (Abyssos g12)
O, ¿quién descenderá a las profundidades? es decir, para hacer que Cristo vuelva de entre los muertos, (Abyssos g12)
8 But what saith the scripture? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart. This is the word of faith, which we preach.
Pero, ¿qué dice? La palabra está cerca de ti, en tu boca y en tu corazón: es decir, la palabra de fe de la que somos predicadores:
9 For if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God hath raised him up from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Porque si confesares con tu boca que Jesús es Señor, y crees en tu corazón que Dios lo resucitó de los muertos, ustedes tendrán la salvación:
10 For, with the heart, we believe unto justice; but, with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
Porque con el corazón el hombre tiene fe para ser libre de culpa; y obtener la justicia, y con la boca dice que Jesús es el Señor para obtener la salvación.
11 For the scripture saith: Whosoever believeth in him, shall not be confounded.
Porque como se dice en las Sagradas Escrituras, cualquiera que tenga fe en él no será avergonzado.
12 For there is no distinction of the Jew and the Greek: for the same is Lord over all, rich unto all that call upon him.
Y el judío no es diferente del griego, porque hay el mismo Señor de todos, y da con abundancia a todos los que invocan su nombre:
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
Porque, cualquiera que invoque el nombre del Señor recibirá la salvación.
14 How then shall they call on him, in whom they have not believed? Or how shall they believe him, of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear, without a preacher?
¿Pero cómo invocarán aquel en quien no han creído? y ¿cómo van a creer en aquel de quien no han oído? y ¿cómo oirán si no hay quien les predique?
15 And how shall they preach unless they be sent, as it is written: How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, of them that bring glad tidings of good things!
¿Y cómo habrá predicadores si no son enviados? Como se dice, cuán hermosos son los pies de aquellos que anuncian la paz, de los que anuncian buenas nuevas.
16 But all do not obey the gospel. For Isaias saith: Lord, who hath believed our report?
Pero no todos obedecieron las buenas nuevas. Porque Isaías dice: Señor, ¿quién ha creído en nuestro mensaje?
17 Faith then cometh by hearing; and hearing by the word of Christ.
Así que la fe viene por el oír y el oír por la palabra de Cristo.
18 But I say: Have they not heard? Yes, verily, their sound hath gone forth into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the whole world.
Pero yo digo: ¿No han oído? Sí, ciertamente porque la escritura dice: por toda la tierra ha salido la voz de ellos y sus palabras hasta los confines del mundo.
19 But I say: Hath not Israel known? First, Moses saith: I will provoke you to jealousy by that which is not a nation; by a foolish nation I will anger you.
Pero yo digo: ¿No tenía Israel conocimiento? Primero Moisés dice: “Serás envuelto en envidia por lo que no es una nación, y por un pueblo necio te haré enojar”.
20 But Isaias is bold, and saith: I was found by them that did not seek me: I appeared openly to them that asked not after me.
E Isaías dice sin temor: Los que no me buscaban me descubrieron; y fui visto por aquellos que no preguntaban por mí.
21 But to Israel he saith: All the day long have I spread my hands to a people that believeth not, and contradicteth me.
Pero sobre Israel él dice; Todo el día mis manos se han extendido a un pueblo desobediente y rebelde.
