Revelation 10
1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud, and a rainbow was on his head, and his face was as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire.
Et je vis un autre ange puissant, descendant du ciel, enveloppé d'un nuage, et l'arc-en-ciel était sur sa tête, et son visage était comme le soleil, et ses pieds comme des colonnes de feu.
2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot upon the earth.
Et il tenait dans sa main un petit livre, et il mit son pied droit sur la mer, et le gauche sur la terre.
3 And he cried with a loud voice as when a lion roareth. And when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
Et il cria d'une voix forte comme rugit un lion, et lorsqu'il cria les sept tonnerres firent retentir leurs voix,
4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: Seal up the things which the seven thunders have spoken; and write them not.
et lorsque les sept tonnerres parlèrent j'allais écrire, et j'entendis une voix venant du ciel, qui disait: « Scelle ce dont ont parlé les sept tonnerres et ne l'écris point. »
5 And the angel, whom I saw standing upon the sea and upon the earth, lifted up his hand to heaven,
Et l'ange, que j'avais vu se tenir debout sur la mer et sur la terre, éleva sa main vers le ciel,
6 And he swore by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things which are therein; and the earth, and the things which are in it; and the sea, and the things which are therein: That time shall be no longer. (aiōn g165)
et il jura par Celui qui vit aux siècles des siècles, qui a créé le ciel et les choses qui y sont: « Il n'y aura plus de délai, (aiōn g165)
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound the trumpet, the mystery of God shall be finished, as he hath declared by his servants the prophets.
mais dans les jours de la voix du septième ange, quand il sera sur le point de sonner, alors aura été accompli le mystère de Dieu, selon la bonne nouvelle qu'il a donnée à Ses esclaves les prophètes. »
8 And I heard a voice from heaven again speaking to me, and saying: Go, and take the book that is open, from the hand of the angel who standeth upon the sea, and upon the earth.
Et la voix, que j'avais entendue venant du ciel, je l'entendis me parler derechef et me dire: « Va, prends le livre qui est ouvert dans la main de l'ange qui se tient debout sur la mer et sur la terre. »
9 And I went to the angel, saying unto him, that he should give me the book. And he said to me: Take the book, and eat it up: and it shall make thy belly bitter, but in thy mouth it shall be sweet as honey.
Et j'allai vers l'ange, lui disant de me donner le petit livre, et il me dit: « Prends-le et avale-le, et il aigrira ton cœur, mais dans ta bouche il sera doux comme du miel. »
10 And I took the book from the hand of the angel, and ate it up: and it was in my mouth, sweet as honey: and when I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
Alors je pris le petit livre de la main de l'ange, et je l'avalai, et il fut dans ma bouche doux comme du miel; et quand je l'eus mangé, mon estomac en fut aigri.
11 And he said to me: Thou must prophesy again to many nations, and peoples, and tongues, and kings.
Et ils me disent: « Il faut que tu prophétises derechef sur des peuples, et des nations, et des langues, et des rois nombreux. »
