Psalms 98

1 A psalm for David himself. Sing ye to the Lord anew canticle: because he hath done wonderful things. His right hand hath wrought for him salvation, and his arm is holy.

Cantad a Yahvé un cántico nuevo, porque ha hecho cosas admirables. Su diestra y su santo brazo le han dado la victoria.

2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: he hath revealed his justice in the sight of the Gentiles.

Yahvé ha hecho manifiesta su salvación; ha mostrado su justicia delante de los gentiles,

3 He hath remembered his mercy his truth toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

se ha acordado de su misericordia y de su fidelidad en favor de la casa de Israel. Todos los confines de la tierra han visto la salud que viene de nuestro Dios.

4 Sing joyfully to God, all the earth; make melody, rejoice and sing.

Tierra entera, aclama a Yahvé, gozaos, alegraos y cantad.

5 Sing praise to the Lord on the harp, on the harp, and with the voice of a psalm:

Entonad himnos a Yahvé con la cítara, con la cítara y al son del salterio;

6 With long trumpets, and sound of comet. Make a joyful noise before the Lord our king:

con trompetas y sonidos de bocina prorrumpid en aclamaciones al Rey Yahvé.

7 Let the sea be moved and the fulness thereof: the world and they that dwell therein.

Retumbe el mar y cuanto lo llena, el orbe de la tierra y los que lo habitan.

8 The rivers shall clap their hands, the mountains shall rejoice together

Batan palmas los ríos, y los montes a una salten de gozo

9 At the presence of the Lord: because he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with justice, and the people with equity.

ante la presencia de Yahvé porque viene, porque viene para gobernar la tierra. Gobernará la redondez de la tierra con justicia los pueblos con rectitud.
