Psalms 97
1 For the same David, when his land was restored again to him. The Lord hath reigned, let the earth rejoice: let many islands be glad.
TUHAN adalah Raja! Biarlah bumi bersorak-sorak, biarlah banyak pulau bersukacita!
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: justice and judgment are the establishment of his throne.
Awan dan kekelaman ada sekeliling Dia, keadilan dan hukum adalah tumpuan takhta-Nya.
3 A fire shall go before him, and shall burn his enemies round about.
Api menjalar di hadapan-Nya, dan menghanguskan para lawan-Nya sekeliling.
4 His lightnings have shone forth to the world: the earth saw and trembled.
Kilat-kilat-Nya menerangi dunia, bumi melihatnya dan gemetar.
5 The mountains melted like wax, at the presence of the Lord: at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.
Gunung-gunung luluh seperti lilin di hadapan TUHAN, di hadapan Tuhan seluruh bumi.
6 The heavens declared his justice: and all people saw his glory.
Langit memberitakan keadilan-Nya, dan segala bangsa melihat kemuliaan-Nya.
7 Let them be all confounded that adore graven things, and that glory in their idols. Adore him, all you his angels:
Semua orang yang beribadah kepada patung akan mendapat malu, orang yang memegahkan diri karena berhala-berhala; segala allah sujud menyembah kepada-Nya.
8 Sion heard, and was glad. And the daughters of Juda rejoiced, because of thy judgments, O Lord.
Sion mendengarnya dan bersukacita, puteri-puteri Yehuda bersorak-sorak, oleh karena penghukuman-Mu, ya TUHAN.
9 For thou art the most high Lord over all the earth: thou art exalted exceedingly above all gods.
Sebab Engkaulah, ya TUHAN, Yang Mahatinggi di atas seluruh bumi, Engkau sangat dimuliakan di atas segala allah.
10 You that love the Lord, hate evil: the Lord preserveth the souls of his saints, he will deliver them out of the hand of the sinner.
Hai orang-orang yang mengasihi TUHAN, bencilah kejahatan! Dia, yang memelihara nyawa orang-orang yang dikasihi-Nya, akan melepaskan mereka dari tangan orang-orang fasik.
11 Light is risen to the just, and joy to the right of heart.
Terang sudah terbit bagi orang benar, dan sukacita bagi orang-orang yang tulus hati.
12 Rejoice, ye just, in the Lord: and give praise to the remembrance of his holiness.
Bersukacitalah karena TUHAN, hai orang-orang benar, dan nyanyikanlah syukur bagi nama-Nya yang kudus.
