Psalms 94
1 The Lord is the God to whom revenge belongeth: the God of revenge hath acted freely.
Yahweh, seu Deus a quem pertence a vingança, Deus a quem pertence a vingança, resplandece.
2 Lift up thyself, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.
Levantem-se, vocês julgam da terra. Retribuir com orgulho o que eles merecem.
3 How long shall sinners, O Lord: how long shall sinners glory?
Yahweh, por quanto tempo os ímpios vão durar, por quanto tempo os ímpios triunfarão?
4 Shall they utter, and speak iniquity: shall all speak who work injustice?
Eles despejam palavras arrogantes. Todos os malfeitores se vangloriam.
5 Thy people, O Lord, they have brought low: and they have afflicted thy inheritance.
Eles quebram seu povo em pedaços, Yahweh, e afligir sua herança.
6 They have slain the widow and the stranger: and they have murdered the fatherless.
They matar a viúva e o estrangeiro, e assassinar os órfãos de pai.
7 And they have said: The Lord shall not see: neither shall the God of Jacob understand.
Eles dizem: “Yah não vai ver”, nem o Deus de Jacó irá considerar”.
8 Understand, ye senseless among the people: and, you fools, be wise at last.
Considere, você não sente nada entre o povo; seus tolos, quando vocês serão sábios?
9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that formed the eye, doth he not consider?
Aquele que implantou o ouvido, será que ele não ouve? Aquele que formou o olho, ele não verá?
10 He that chastiseth nations, shall he not rebuke: he that teacheth man knowledge?
Aquele que disciplina as nações, não castigará ele? Aquele que ensina o homem sabe.
11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of men, that they are vain.
Yahweh conhece os pensamentos do homem, que eles são fúteis.
12 Blessed is the man whom thou shalt instruct, O Lord: and shalt teach him out of thy law.
Abençoado é o homem a quem você disciplina, Sim, e ensinar a partir de sua lei,
13 That thou mayst give him rest from the evil days: till a pit be dug for the wicked.
que você pode lhe dar descanso dos dias de adversidade, até que o poço seja cavado para os malvados.
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people: neither will he forsake his own inheritance.
Pois Yahweh não rejeitará seu povo, nem renunciará à sua herança.
15 Until justice be turned into judgment: and they that are near it are all the upright in heart.
Para o julgamento voltará à retidão. Todos os retos de coração devem segui-lo.
16 Who shall rise up for me against the evildoers? or who shall stand with me against the workers of iniquity?
Quem se levantará por mim contra os ímpios? Quem vai me defender contra os malfeitores?
17 Unless the Lord had been my helper, my soul had almost dwelt in hell. (questioned)
Unless Yahweh tinha sido minha ajuda, minha alma teria logo vivido em silêncio.
18 If I said: My foot is moved: thy mercy, O Lord, assisted me.
Quando eu disse: “Meu pé está escorregando”! Sua bondade amorosa, Yahweh, me atrasou.
19 According to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart, thy comforts have given joy to my soul.
Na multidão de meus pensamentos dentro de mim, seus confortos enchem minha alma.
20 Doth the seat of iniquity stick to thee, who framest labour in commandment?
Shall o trono da maldade tem companheirismo com você, o que traz maldades por lei?
21 They will hunt after the soul of the just, and will condemn innocent blood.
Eles se reúnem contra a alma dos justos, e condenar o sangue inocente.
22 But the Lord is my refuge: and my God the help of my hope.
Mas Yahweh tem sido minha torre alta, meu Deus, a rocha do meu refúgio.
23 And he will render them their iniquity: and in their malice he will destroy them: the Lord our God will destroy them.
Ele trouxe sobre eles sua própria iniqüidade, e os cortará em sua própria maldade. Yahweh, nosso Deus, vai cortá-los.
