Psalms 9
1 Unto the end, for the hidden things of the Son. A psalm for David. I will give praise to thee, O Lord, with my whole heart: I will relate all thy wonders.
Dem Sangmeister, nach (der Melodie des Liedes: ) "Stirb für den Sohn". Ein Psalm Davids. Anbetend preisen will ich Jahwe von ganzem Herzen, / All deine Wunder will ich erzählen;
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing to thy name, O thou most high.
Auch will ich mich freuen und jauchzen in dir; / Aufspielen deinem Namen, du Höchster!
3 When my enemy shall be turned back: they shall be weakened and perish before thy face.
Bedenk ich doch: meine Feinde sind rückwärts gewichen, / Sie sind gestrauchelt und umgekommen vor dir.
4 For thou hast maintained my judgment and my cause: thou hast sat on the throne, who judgest justice.
Denn du hast mein Recht geführt und meine Sache, / Du sitzest auf dem Thron als ein gerechter Richter.
5 Thou hast rebuked the Gentiles, and the wicked one hath perished: thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.
Grimmig schaltest du Völker, verderbtest den Frevler, / Ihren Namen hast du vertilgt auf immer und ewig.
6 The swords of the enemy have failed unto the end: and their cities thou hast destroyed. Their memory hath perished with a noise.
Ha die Feinde! Dahin sind sie, vernichtet für immer; / Ihre Städte hast du zerstört, vertilgt ihr Gedächtnis:
7 But the Lord remaineth for ever. He hath prepared his throne in judgment:
Während Jahwe auf ewig thront; / Er hat zum Gericht seinen Stuhl gestellt.
8 And he shall judge the world in equity, he shall judge the people in justice.
Er richtet den Erdkreis recht, / Er spricht den Völkern ein gerades Urteil.
9 And the Lord is become a refuge for the poor: a helper in due time in tribulation.
Werden wird Jahwe ein Hort dem Bedrückten, / Ein Hort in Zeiten der Not.
10 And let them trust in thee who know thy name: for thou hast not forsaken them that seek thee, O Lord.
Drum trauen dir, die deinen Namen kennen; / Denn du verlässest nicht, die dich, o Jahwe, suchen.
11 Sing ye to the Lord, who dwelleth in Sion: declare his ways among the Gentiles:
Singt Jahwe, der auf Zion wohnt, / Verkündet inmitten der Völker sein Tun!
12 For requiring their blood he hath remembered the: he hath not forgotten the cry of the poor.
Denn als Rächer des Bluts hat er ihrer gedacht, / Nicht vergessen des Schreiens der Dulder.
13 Have mercy on me, O Lord: see my humiliation which I suffer from my enemies.
Gnädig sei mir, o Jahwe! Sieh an das Leid, / Das mir meine Hasser bereiten, — / Du, der mich erhebt aus des Todes Toren!
14 Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death, that I may declare all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Sion.
Dann will ich erzählen all deinen Ruhm; / In den Toren der Tochter Zion / Will ich ob deiner Hilfe jubeln.
15 I will rejoice in thy salvation: the Gentiles have stuck fast in the destruction which they have prepared. Their foot hath been taken in the very snare which they hid.
Tief sind versunken die Völker / In der Grube, die sie gegraben; / In dem Netz, das sie heimlich gelegt, / Hat sich ihr Fuß gefangen.
16 The Lord shall be known when he executeth judgments: the sinner hath been caught in the works of his own hands.
Kund geworden ist Jahwe: er hat Gericht geübt; / In seiner Hände Werk / Hat sich der Böse verstrickt. (Higgajôn, (Sela)
Ja, müssen die Frevler zur Hölle fahren, / Alle Heiden, die Gottes vergessen. (Sheol h7585)
18 For the poor man shall not be forgotten to the end: the patience of the poor shall not perish for ever.
Kann denn des Armen auf immer vergessen werden? / Ist's mit der Elenden Hoffnung aus für ewig?
19 Arise, O Lord, let not man be strengthened: let the Gentiles be judged in thy sight.
Komm, Jahwe, daß der Mensch nicht trotze, / Laß die Heiden vor dir gerichtet werden!
20 Appoint, O Lord, a lawgiver over them: that the Gentiles may know themselves to be but men.
Schick ihnen, Jahwe, Schreckenswarnung! / Dann erkennen die Heiden, daß sie nur sterbliche Menschen sind. (Sela)
