Psalms 82

1 A psalm for Asaph. God hath stood in the congregation of gods: and being in the midst of them he judgeth gods.

౧ఆసాపు కీర్తన దివ్య సమాజంలో దేవుడు నిలబడి ఉన్నాడు. దేవుళ్ళగా చెప్పుకొనేవారు వారి మధ్య ఆయన తీర్పు తీర్చేవాడు.

2 How long will you judge unjustly: and accept the persons of the wicked?

౨ఎంతకాలం మీరు అన్యాయంగా తీర్పు తీరుస్తారు? ఎంతకాలం మీరు దుర్మార్గుల పట్ల పక్షపాతం చూపుతారు? (సెలా)

3 Judge for the needy and fatherless: do justice to the humble and the poor.

౩పేదలకు, అనాథలకు న్యాయం చేయండి, అణగారినవాళ్ళ, అనాథల హక్కులను పరిరక్షించండి.

4 Rescue the poor; and deliver the needy out of the hand of the sinner.

౪పేదలనూ దరిద్రులనూ విడిపించండి. దుర్మార్గుల చేతిలోనుంచి వాళ్ళను తప్పించండి.

5 They have not known nor understood: they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth shall be moved.

౫వాళ్లకు తెలివి లేదు, అర్థం చేసుకోలేరు. వాళ్ళు చీకట్లో తిరుగుతుంటారు. భూమి పునాదులన్నీ చితికి పోతున్నాయి.

6 I have said: You are gods and all of you the sons of the most High.

౬మీరు దేవుళ్ళు, మీరంతా సర్వోన్నతుని కుమారులు, అని నేను అన్నాను.

7 But you like men shall die: and shall fall like one of the princes.

౭అయినా ఇతరుల్లాగే మీరూ చనిపోతారు అధికారుల్లోని ఒకరిలాగా కూలిపోతారు.

8 Arise, O God, judge thou the earth: for thou shalt inherit among all the nations.

౮దేవా, లేచి భూమికి తీర్పు తీర్చు. నువ్వు రాజ్యాలన్నిటినీ వారసత్వంగా పొందుతావు.
