Psalms 77
1 Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of Asaph. I cried to the Lord with my voice; to God with my voice, and he gave ear to me.
Dem Musikmeister, nach Jeduthun. Von Asaph. Ein Psalm. Meine Stimme erhebe sich zu Gott, und ich will schreien, meine Stimme erhebe sich zu Gott, daß er auf mich höre.
2 In the day of my trouble I sought God, with my hands lifted up to him in the night, and I was not deceived. My soul refused to be comforted:
In der Zeit meiner Not suche ich den Herrn: meine Hand ist des nachts ausgestreckt und ermattet nicht; meine Seele will sich nicht trösten lassen.
3 I remembered God, and was delighted, and was exercised, and my spirit swooned away.
Ich gedenke an Gott und seufze; ich sinne nach, und es verzagt mein Geist. (Sela)
4 My eyes prevented the watches: I was troubled, and I spoke not.
Du hältst meine Augenlider wach; ich bin voller Unruhe und kann nicht reden.
5 I thought upon the days of old: and I had in my mind the eternal years.
Ich überdenke die Tage der Vorzeit, die längst entschwundenen Jahre.
6 And I meditated in the night with my own heart: and I was exercised and I swept my spirit.
Ich gedenke in der Nacht meines Saitenspiels, sinne in meinem Herzen, und es forscht mein Geist:
7 Will God then cast off for ever? or will he never be more favourable again?
Will denn der Herr auf ewig verstoßen und keine Gnade mehr erzeigen?
8 Or will he cut off his mercy for ever, from generation to generation?
Ist's denn für immer mit seiner Gnade zu Ende, gar aus mit seiner Treue auf alle Geschlechter?
9 Or will God forget to shew mercy? or will he in his anger shut up his mercies?
Hat denn Gott vergessen, gnädig zu sein, oder im Zorn sein Erbarmen verschlossen? (Sela)
10 And I said, Now have I begun: this is the change of the right hand of the most High.
Und ich sprach: Das ist mein Leiden, daß die Rechte des Höchsten sich geändert hat.
11 I remembered the works of the Lord: for I will be mindful of thy wonders from the beginning.
Ich gedenke der Thaten Jah's; ja, ich gedenke deines wunderbaren Thuns in der Vorzeit.
12 And I will meditate on all thy works: and will be employed in thy inventions.
Ich will nachdenken über all' dein Thun und über deine großen Thaten sinnen.
13 Thy way, O God, is in the holy place: who is the great God like our God?
Gott, erhaben ist dein Weg! Wer ist ein großer Gott wie Gott?
14 Thou art the God that dost wonders. Thou hast made thy power known among the nations:
Du bist der rechte Gott, thust Wunder; du hast unter den Völkern deine Macht kund werden lassen.
15 With thy arm thou hast redeemed thy people the children of Jacob and of Joseph.
Mit mächtigem Arm hast du dein Volk erlöst, die Söhne Jakobs und Josephs. (Sela)
16 The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee: and they were afraid, and the depths were troubled.
Da dich die Wasser sahen, Gott, da dich die Wasser sahen, bebten sie, und es zitterten die Fluten.
17 Great was the noise of the waters: the clouds sent out a sound. For thy arrows pass:
In den Strömen ergoß sich das dichte Gewölk; die Wolken donnerten, und es fuhren einher deine Pfeile.
18 The voice of thy thunder in a wheel. Thy lightnings enlightened the world: the earth shook and trembled.
Dein Donner erschallte im Wirbelwind; Blitze erleuchteten den Erdkreis, es zitterte und erbebte die Erde.
19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths in many waters: and thy footsteps shall not be known.
Durchs Meer ging dein Weg, und dein Pfad durch große Wasser, und deine Spuren waren nicht zu erkennen.
20 Thou hast conducted thy people like sheep, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Du führtest dein Volk wie Schafe durch Mose und Aaron.
