Psalms 76
1 Unto the end, in praises, a psalm for Asaph: a canticle to the Assyrians. In Judea God is known: his name is great in Israel.
௧அல்தஷ்கேத் என்னும் வாத்தியத்தில் வாசிக்கும்படி பாடலின் இசைத்தலைவனுக்கு ஆசாப் அளித்த பாடல். யூதாவில் தேவன் அறியப்பட்டவர்; இஸ்ரவேலில் அவருடைய பெயர் பெரியது.
2 And his place is in peace: and his abode in Sion:
௨சாலேமில் அவருடைய கூடாரமும், சீயோனில் அவருடைய தங்குமிடமும் இருக்கிறது.
3 There hath he broken the powers of bows, the shield, the sword, and the battie.
௩அங்கேயிருந்து வில்லின் அம்புகளையும், கேடகத்தையும், வாளையும், யுத்தத்தையும் முறித்தார். (சேலா)
4 Thou enlightenest wonderfully from the everlasting hills.
௪மகத்துவமுள்ளவரே, கொள்ளையுள்ள மலைளைவிட நீர் பிரகாசமுள்ளவர்.
5 All the foolish of heart were troubled. They have slept their sleep; and all the men of riches have found nothing in their hands.
௫தைரிய நெஞ்சுள்ளவர்கள் கொள்ளையிடப்பட்டு, உறங்கி அசந்தார்கள்; வல்லமையுள்ள எல்லா மனிதர்களுடைய கைகளும் அவர்களுக்கு உதவாமல்போனது.
6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, they have all slumbered that mounted on horseback.
௬யாக்கோபின் தேவனே, உம்முடைய அதட்டலின் சத்தத்தினால் இரதங்களும் குதிரைகளும் உறங்கி விழுந்தது.
7 Thou art terrible, and who shall resist thee? from that time thy wrath.
௭நீர், நீரே, பயங்கரமானவர்; உமது கோபம் எழும்பும்போது உமக்கு முன்பாக நிற்பவன் யார்?
8 Thou hast caused judgment to be heard from heaven: the earth trembled and was still,
௮நியாயம் விசாரிக்கவும் பூமியில் சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்கள் யாவரையும் இரட்சிக்கவும், தேவனே நீர் எழுந்தருளினபோது,
9 When God arose in judgment, to save all the meek of the earth.
௯வானத்திலிருந்து நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக் கேட்கச்செய்தீர்; பூமி பயந்து அமர்ந்தது. (சேலா)
10 For the thought of man shall give praise to thee: and the remainders of the thought shall keep holiday to thee.
௧0மனிதனுடைய கோபம் உமது மகிமையை விளங்கச்செய்யும்; மிஞ்சுங்கோபத்தை நீர் அடக்குவீர்.
11 Vow ye, and pay to the Lord your God: all you that are round about him bring presents. To him that is terrible,
௧௧பொருத்தனைசெய்து அதை உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு நிறைவேற்றுங்கள்; அவரைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிற அனைவரும் பயங்கரமானவருக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டுவரவேண்டும்.
12 Even to him who taketh away the spirit of princes: to the terrible with the kings of the earth.
௧௨பிரபுக்களின் ஆவியை அடக்குவார்; பூமியின் ராஜாக்களுக்கு அவர் பயங்கரமானவர்.
