Psalms 75

1 Unto the end, corrupt not, a psalm of a canticle for Asaph. We will praise thee, O God: we will praise, and we will call upon thy name. We will relate thy wondrous works:

Керівнику хору. На мотив «Не згуби». Псалом Асафа. Пісня. Славимо Тебе, Боже, славимо, бо близьке ім’я Твоє; [люди] проголошують чудеса Твої.

2 When I shall take a time, I will judge justices.

Бо Ти сказав: «Я оберу певний час і справедливо судитиму.

3 The earth is melted, and all that dwell therein: I have established the pillars thereof.

Тане земля й мешканці її – Я утверджу її стовпи». (Села)

4 I said to the wicked: Do not act wickedly: and to the sinners: Lift not up the horn.

Сказав Я зухвалим: «Не бундючтеся!» – і нечестивим: «Не підносьте рога!»

5 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not iniquity against God.

Не підносьте високо роги ваші, не говоріть [зухвало], твердо [поставивши] шию.

6 For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert hills:

Бо не зі сходу, не із заходу й не з пустелі [приходить] піднесення.

7 For God is the judge. One he putteth down, and another he lifteth up:

Адже Бог – Суддя: одного принижує, іншого підносить.

8 For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup of strong wine full of mixture. And he hath poured it out from this to that: but the dregs thereof are not emptied: all the sinners of the earth shall drink.

Бо чаша в руці Господа – пінисте вино, повна суміші вона, і Він виливає з неї; навіть гущу її висмокчуть і вип’ють усі нечестивці землі.

9 But I will declare for ever: I will sing to the God of Jacob.

А я звіщатиму [це] повіки, співатиму Богові Якова:

10 And I will break all the horns of sinners: but the horns of the just shall be exalted.

«Усі роги нечестивих повідрубую, а роги праведних піднесуться».
