Psalms 70

1 Unto the end, a psalm for David, to bring to remembrance that the Lord saved him. O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.

Načelniku godbe, pesem Davidova, za spomin. Bog, otet me, Gospod, pomagat mi híti.

2 Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:

Osramoté se naj in z rudečico oblijó, kateri iščejo duše moje; zavrnejo se naj in onečastijo, ki se veselé nesreče moje.

3 Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me: Let them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: Tis well, tis well.

Umikajo se naj za plačílo sramote svoje, kateri govoré: Prav, prav!

4 Let all that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be magnified.

Veselé se naj in radujejo v tebi vsi, ki te iščejo, in govoré naj vedno: Poveličuj se Bog, kateri ljubijo blaginjo tvojo.

5 But I am needy and poor; O God, help me. Thou art my helper and my deliverer: O Lord, make no delay.

Jaz pa sem ubožen in potreben, o Bog; híti za voljo mene, in pomoč moja bodi, rešitelj moj; Gospod, ne múdi se.
