Psalms 70

1 Unto the end, a psalm for David, to bring to remembrance that the Lord saved him. O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.

സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു നിവേദനസങ്കീർത്തനം. ദൈവമേ, എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ, യഹോവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിക്കാൻ വേഗം വരണമേ.

2 Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:

എന്റെ ജീവൻ അപഹരിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർ ലജ്ജിതരും പരിഭ്രാന്തരും ആയിത്തീരട്ടെ; എന്റെ നാശം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവരെല്ലാം അപമാനിതരായി പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ.

3 Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me: Let them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: Tis well, tis well.

എന്നോട്, “ആഹാ! ആഹാ!” എന്നു പറയുന്നവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ലജ്ജനിമിത്തം പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ.

4 Let all that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be magnified.

എന്നാൽ അങ്ങയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങയിൽ ആനന്ദിച്ച് ആഹ്ലാദിക്കട്ടെ; അവിടത്തെ രക്ഷ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർ, “യഹോവ ഉന്നതൻ!” എന്ന് എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ.

5 But I am needy and poor; O God, help me. Thou art my helper and my deliverer: O Lord, make no delay.

ഞാൻ ദരിദ്രനും ഞെരുക്കമനുഭവിക്കുന്നവനും എങ്കിലും; ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് വേഗം വരണമേ. അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ സഹായകനും എന്റെ വിമോചകനും ആകുന്നു; യഹോവേ, താമസിക്കരുതേ.
