< Psalms 63 >
1 A psalm of David when he was in the desert of Edom. O God, my God, to thee do I watch at break of day. For thee my soul hath thirsted; for thee my flesh, O how many ways!
2 In a desert land, and where there is no way, and no water: so in the sanctuary have I come before thee, to see thy power and thy glory.
Nĩnguonete ũrĩ handũ-harĩa-haamũre, na ngeyonera hinya waku na riiri waku.
3 For thy mercy is better than lives: thee my lips shall praise.
Tondũ wendo waku nĩ mwega gũkĩra muoyo guo mwene-rĩ, mĩromo yakwa nĩĩrĩkũgoocaga.
4 Thus will I bless thee all my life long: and in thy name I will lift up my hands.
Ndĩrĩkũgoocaga hĩndĩ ĩrĩa yothe ngũtũũra muoyo, ngoocage rĩĩtwa rĩaku nyambararĩtie moko makwa.
5 Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness: and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.
Ngoro yakwa ĩiganĩire ta ĩrĩĩte irio iria njega mũno; nako kanua gakwa nĩkarĩkũgoocaga, mĩromo yakwa ĩgakũinĩra.
6 If I have remembered thee upon my bed, I will meditate on thee in the morning:
Ngũririkanaga ndĩ ũrĩrĩ; ndĩciiragia ũhoro waku ũtukũ wothe.
7 Because thou hast been my helper. And I will rejoice under the covert of thy wings:
Tondũ Wee nĩwe ũteithio wakwa-rĩ, nyinagĩra kĩĩruru-inĩ kĩa mathagu maku.
8 My soul hath stuck close to thee: thy right hand hath received me.
Ngoro yakwa nĩĩnyiitĩrĩire harĩwe; guoko gwaku kwa ũrĩo gũkaanyiitĩrĩra.
9 But they have sought my soul in vain, they shall go into the lower parts of the earth:
Andũ arĩa macaragia muoyo wakwa nĩguo maũniine nĩmakanangwo; magaatoonyerera na thĩ nginya kũrĩa kũriku mũno.
10 They shall be delivered into the hands of the sword, they shall be the portions of foxes.
Makooragwo na rũhiũ rwa njora matuĩke irio cia mbwe.
11 But the king shall rejoice in God, all they shall be praised that swear by him: because the mouth is stopped of them that speak wicked things.
No rĩrĩ, mũthamaki nĩagakena nĩ ũndũ wa Ngai; andũ arĩa othe mehĩtaga makĩgwetaga rĩĩtwa rĩa Ngai nĩmakamũgooca, natuo tũnua twa arĩa maaragia maheeni nĩtũgaakirio.
