Psalms 56

1 Unto the end, for a people that is removed at a distance from the sanctuary for David, for an inscription of a title (or pillar) when the Philistines held him in Geth. Have mercy on me, O God, for man hath trodden me under foot; all the day long he hath afflicted me fighting against me.

非利士人在迦特拿住大衛。那時，他作這金詩，交與伶長。調用遠方無聲鴿。 上帝啊，求你憐憫我，因為人要把我吞了， 終日攻擊欺壓我。

2 My enemies have trodden on me all the day long; for they are many that make war against me.

我的仇敵終日要把我吞了， 因逞驕傲攻擊我的人甚多。

3 From the height of the day I shall fear: but I will trust in thee.

我懼怕的時候要倚靠你。

4 In God I will praise my words, in God I have put my trust: I will not fear what flesh can do against me.

我倚靠上帝，我要讚美他的話； 我倚靠上帝，必不懼怕。 血氣之輩能把我怎麼樣呢？

5 All the day long they detested my words: all their thoughts were against me unto evil.

他們終日顛倒我的話； 他們一切的心思都是要害我。

6 They will dwell and hide themselves: they will watch my heel. As they have waited for my soul,

他們聚集，埋伏窺探我的腳蹤， 等候要害我的命。

7 For nothing shalt thou save them: in thy anger thou shalt break the people in pieces, O God,

他們豈能因罪孽逃脫嗎？ 上帝啊，求你在怒中使眾民墮落！

8 I have declared to thee my life: thou hast set my tears in thy sight, As also in thy promise.

我幾次流離，你都記數； 求你把我眼淚裝在你的皮袋裏。 這不都記在你冊子上嗎？

9 Then shall my enemies be turned back. In what day soever I shall call upon thee, behold I know thou art my God.

我呼求的日子，我的仇敵都要轉身退後。 上帝幫助我，這是我所知道的。

10 In God will I praise the word, in the Lord will I praise his speech.

我倚靠上帝，我要讚美他的話； 我倚靠耶和華，我要讚美他的話。

11 In God have I hoped, I will not fear what man can do to me.

我倚靠上帝，必不懼怕。 人能把我怎麼樣呢？

12 In me, O God, are vows to thee, which I will pay, praises to thee:

上帝啊，我向你所許的願在我身上； 我要將感謝祭獻給你。

13 Because thou hast delivered my soul from death, my feet from falling: that I may please in the sight of God, in the light of the living.

因為你救我的命脫離死亡。 你豈不是救護我的腳不跌倒、 使我在生命光中行在上帝面前嗎？
