< Psalms 54 >

1 Unto the end, In verses, understanding for David. When the men of Ziph had come and said to Saul: Is not David hidden with us? Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me in thy strength.
Kuom jatend wer. Wer miwero gi thumbe man-gi waya. Maskil mar Daudi. Kane jo-Zif osedhi ir Saulo kendo onyise niya, “Donge Daudi ma imanyo opondo e gwengʼwa?” Resa gi nyingi, yaye Nyasaye; ngʼadna bura kare gi tekoni.
2 O God, hear my prayer: give ear to the words of my mouth.
Winj lamona, yaye Nyasaye; chik iti ne weche mawuok e dhoga.
3 For strangers have risen up against me; and the mighty have sought after my soul: and they have not set God before their eyes.
Jopinje moko monja; acheje kawo ngimana, gin joma ok dew Nyasaye. (Sela)
4 For behold God is my helper: and the Lord is the protector of my soul.
Adier, Nyasaye e jakonyna; Ruoth owuon ema rita.
5 Turn back the evils upon my enemies; and cut them off in thy truth.
Mad chandruok lwor joma ketho nyinga mi ketgi diere; tiekgi, nikech in ja-adiera.
6 I will freely sacrifice to thee, and will give praise, O God, to thy name: because it is good:
Abiro timoni misango gi chiwo mar (hera) abiro pako nyingi, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, nikech nyingi ber.
7 For thou hast delivered me out of all trouble: and my eye hath looked down upon my enemies.
Nikech oseresa kuom gik mathaga duto, mi omiyo wengena ongʼiyo wasika tir bangʼ loyogi.
