< Psalms 51 >

1 Unto the end, a psalm of David, When Nathan the prophet came to him after he had sinned with Bethsabee. Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy. And according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my iniquity.
2 Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Lave m', foubi m' pou wete fòt mwen fè a. Netwaye m' pou efase peche m' lan.
3 For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me.
Mwen rekonèt sa m' fè a pa bon. Se tout tan peche m' lan devan je m'.
4 To thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before thee: that thou mayst be justified in thy words and mayst overcome when thou art judged.
5 For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me.
Wi, depi m' fèt, mwen fèt ak peche nan kè m'. Depi nan vant manman m', mwen gen peche nan kè m'.
6 For behold thou hast loved truth: the uncertain and hidden things of thy wisdom thou hast made manifest to me.
Men, ou vle pou yon moun sensè nan tou sa l'ap fè. Tanpri, fè m' konprann tout bagay non!
7 Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.
Wete peche m' lan avèk yon branch izòp, konsa m'a nan kondisyon pou m' fè sèvis pou ou. Lave m', m'a pi blan pase koton.
8 To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice.
Fè m' tande pawòl ki pou fè kè m' kontan an, pawòl ki pou fè m' chante a. Wi, ou te kraze tout zo nan kò m', men w'a fè kè m' kontan ankò.
9 Turn away thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
Wete peche mwen yo devan je ou. Efase tout fòt mwen fè yo.
10 Create a clean heart in me, O God: and renew a right spirit within my bowels.
O Bondye, pa kite okenn move lide nan kè m'. Mete bon lide nan tèt mwen, pou m' sa kenbe fèm.
11 Cast me not away from thy face; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Pa voye m' jete. Pa wete lespri ou te ban mwen an.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit.
Sove m'. Fè kè m' kontan ankò. Ban m' bon lide ki pou fè m' toujou obeyisan.
13 I will teach the unjust thy ways: and the wicked shall be converted to thee.
Lè sa a, m'a moutre moun k'ap fè peche yo tout kòmandman ou yo, pou yo sa tounen vin jwenn ou.
14 Deliver me from blood, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall extol thy justice.
Pa kite yo tire revanj sou mwen, Bondye, se ou k'ap sove lavi m'. N'a fè konnen jan ou gen bon kè.
15 O Lord, thou wilt open my lips: and my mouth shall declare thy praise.
Seyè mwen, mete pawòl nan bouch mwen pou m' ka fè lwanj ou.
16 For if thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: with burnt offerings thou wilt not be delighted.
Si se bèt ou ta vle yo touye pou ofri ou, mwen ta ofri bèt ba ou. Men, ou pa pran plezi nan vyann bèt y'ap boule ofri ba ou yo.
17 A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Ofrann ki fè Bondye plezi, se lè yon moun soumèt tèt li devan li. Bondye, ou p'ap janm meprize moun ki soumèt tèt li devan ou, moun ki rekonèt tò li.
18 Deal favourably, O Lord, in thy good will with Sion; that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up.
O Bondye, fe anpil byen pou mòn Siyon, paske ou gen bon kè. Rebati miray lavil Jerizalèm yo.
19 Then shalt thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations and whole burnt offerings: then shall they lay calves upon thy altar.
Se lè sa a w'a pran plezi nan ofrann bèt ou mande pou yo touye pou ou yo, nan vyann bèt ak lòt ofrann y'ap boule nèt pou ou yo. Se lè sa a y'a ofri jenn towo bèf sou lotèl ou a.
