Psalms 48
1 A psalm of a canticle, for the sons of Core, on the second day of the week. Great is the Lord, and exceedingly to be praised in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
੧ਗੀਤ। ਭਜਨ। ਕੋਰਹ ਵੰਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਤ ਉਸਤਤ ਦੇ ਜੋਗ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ!
2 With the joy of the whole earth is mount Sion founded, on the sides of the north, the city of the great king.
੨ਉਚਿਆਈ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ, ਸੀਯੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ।
3 In her houses shall God be known, when he shall protect her.
੩ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚਾ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ।
4 For behold the kings of the earth assembled themselves: they gathered together.
੪ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਰਾਜੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਓਹ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ।
5 So they saw, and they wondered, they were troubled, they were moved:
੫ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਡਿੱਠਾ, ਫੇਰ ਦੰਗ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ, ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਉੱਠ ਭੱਜੇ!
6 Trembling took hold of them. There were pains as of a woman in labour.
੬ਉੱਥੇ ਕੰਬਣੀ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਜੱਚਾ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪੀੜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ।
7 With a vehement wind thou shalt break in pieces the ships of Tharsis.
੭ਤੂੰ ਪੁਰੇ ਦੀ ਹਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਤਰਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
8 As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God hath founded it for ever.
੮ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ। ਸਲਹ।
9 We have received thy mercy, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
੯ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਯਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
10 According to thy name, O God, so also is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of justice.
੧੦ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਬੰਨਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
11 Let mount Sion rejoice, and the daughters of Juda be glad; because of thy judgments, O Lord.
੧੧ਤੇਰੇ ਨਿਆਂਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਵੇ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਮਨਾਉਣ!
12 Surround Sion, and encompass her: tell ye in her towers.
੧੨ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੇ ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਫਿਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪਰਦੱਖਣਾ ਕਰੋ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਬੁਰਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਣੋ।
13 Set your hearts on her strength; and distribute her houses, that ye may relate it in another generation.
੧੩ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੀ ਲੰਘੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਸਕੋ।
14 For this is God, our God unto eternity, and for ever and ever: he shall rule us for evermore.
੧੪ਇਹੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤਾਂ ਜੁੱਗੋ-ਜੁੱਗ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ, ਮੌਤ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ ਓਹੋ ਸਾਡਾ ਆਗੂ ਰਹੇਗਾ!
