Psalms 45

1 Unto the end, for them that shall be changed, for the sons of Core, for understanding. A canticle for the Beloved. My heart hath uttered a good word I speak my works to the king; My tongue is the pen of a scrivener that writeth swiftly.

Al Músico principal: sobre Sosannim: para los hijos de Coré: Masquil: Canción de amores. REBOSA mi corazón palabra buena: refiero yo al Rey mis obras: mi lengua es pluma de escribiente muy ligero.

2 Thou art beautiful above the sons of men: grace is poured abroad in thy lips; therefore hath God blessed thee for ever.

Haste hermoseado más que los hijos de los hombres; la gracia se derramó en tus labios: por tanto Dios te ha bendecido para siempre.

3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O thou most mighty.

Cíñete tu espada sobre el muslo, oh valiente, con tu gloria y con tu majestad.

4 With thy comeliness and thy beauty set out, proceed prosperously, and reign. Because of truth and meekness and justice: and thy right hand shall conduct thee wonderfully.

Y en tu gloria sé prosperado: cabalga sobre palabra de verdad, y de humildad, [y] de justicia; y tu diestra te enseñará cosas terribles.

5 Thy arrows are sharp: under thee shall people fall, into the hearts of the king’s enemies.

Tus saetas agudas [con que] caerán pueblos debajo de ti, [penetrarán] en el corazón de los enemigos del Rey.

6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of uprightness.

Tu trono, oh Dios, eterno y para siempre: vara de justicia la vara de tu reino.

7 Thou hast loved justice, and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Amaste la justicia y aborreciste la maldad: por tanto te ungió Dios, el Dios tuyo, con óleo de gozo sobre tus compañeros.

8 Myrrh and stacte and cassia perfume thy garments, from the ivory houses: out of which

Mirra, áloe, y casia [exhalan] todos tus vestidos: en estancias de marfil te han recreado.

9 The daughters of kings have delighted thee in thy glory. The queen stood on thy right hand, in gilded clothing; surrounded with variety.

Hijas de reyes entre tus ilustres: está la reina á tu diestra con oro de Ophir.

10 Hearken, O daughter, and see, and incline thy ear: and forget thy people and thy father’s house.

Oye, hija, y mira, é inclina tu oído; y olvida tu pueblo, y la casa de tu padre;

11 And the king shall greatly desire thy beauty; for he is the Lord thy God, and him they shall adore.

Y deseará el rey tu hermosura: é inclínate á él, porque él es tu Señor.

12 And the daughters of Tyre with gifts, yea, all the rich among the people, shall entreat thy countenance.

Y las hijas de Tiro [vendrán] con presente; implorarán tu favor los ricos del pueblo.

13 All the glory of the king’s daughter is within in golden borders,

Toda ilustre es de dentro la hija del rey: de brocado de oro es su vestido.

14 Clothed round about with varieties. After her shall virgins be brought to the king: her neighbours shall be brought to thee.

Con [vestidos] bordados será llevada al rey; vírgenes en pos de ella: sus compañeras serán traídas á ti.

15 They shall be brought with gladness and rejoicing: they shall be brought into the temple of the king.

Serán traídas con alegría y gozo: entrarán en el palacio del rey.

16 Instead of thy fathers, sons are born to thee: thou shalt make them princes over all the earth.

En lugar de tus padres serán tus hijos, á quienes harás príncipes en toda la tierra.

17 They shall remember thy name throughout all generations. Therefore shall people praise thee for ever; yea, for ever and ever.

Haré [perpetua] la memoria de tu nombre en todas las generaciones: por lo cual te alabarán los pueblos eternamente y para siempre.
