< Psalms 4 >
1 Unto the end, in verses. A psalm for David. When I called upon him, the God of my justice heard me: when I was in distress, thou hast enlarged me. Have mercy on me: and hear my prayer.
Kuom jatend wer. Miwero gi gig wer man-gi tondegi. Zaburi mar Daudi. Ka aluongi to yie idwoka, yaye Nyasacha makare. Konya e lit momako chunya; yie ikecha kendo iwinj lamona.
2 O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?
Yaye, ubiro chayo duongʼ ka ukuodo wiya nyaka karangʼo? Ubiro hero gik manono kendo luwo nyiseche manono nyaka karangʼo? (Sela)
3 Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.
Ngʼeuru ni Jehova Nyasaye oseyiera mondo abed mare owuon; kendo Jehova Nyasaye winja, ka aluonge.
4 Be angry, and sin not: the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.
Ka iu owangʼ to kik utim richo; seche ma uyweyo mos e kitandau, to nonuru chunyu ka ulingʼ mos, keturu chunyu mos ka unindo e kitandau. (Sela)
5 Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things?
Chiwuru misengini mowinjore kendo genuru kuom Jehova Nyasaye.
6 The light of thy countenance O Lord, is signed upon us: thou hast given gladness in my heart.
Ji mangʼeny penjo niya, “En ngʼa manyalo timonwa gimoro maber?” Mad ler moa e lela wangʼi rieny kuomwa, yaye Jehova Nyasaye.
7 By the fruit of their corn, their wine and oil, they are multiplied.
Isepongʼo chunya gi mor maduongʼ moloyo mor ma gin-go e kinde ma gin-gi cham kod divai mangʼeny.
8 In peace in the selfsame I will sleep, and I will rest: For thou, O Lord, singularly hast settled me in hope.
Abiro riera piny mi anind gi kwe, nikech in kendi, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, in ema imiyo adak gi kwe.
