Psalms 34
1 For David, when he changed his countenance before Achimelech, who dismissed him, and he went his way. I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall be always in my mouth.
De David. Cuando fingió ante el rey Abimelec haber perdido el juicio, y este le desterró y él pudo salvarse. Quiero bendecir a Yahvé en todo tiempo, tener siempre en mi boca su alabanza.
2 In the Lord shall my soul be praised: let the meek hear and rejoice.
En Yahvé se gloría mi alma; oigan los afligidos y alégrense.
3 O magnify the Lord with me; and let us extol his name together.
Enalteced conmigo a Yahvé, y juntos ensalcemos su Nombre.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me; and he delivered me from all my troubles.
Busqué a Yahvé y Él me escuchó, y me libró de todos mis temores.
5 Come ye to him and be enlightened: and your faces shall not be confounded.
Miradlo a Él para que estéis radiantes de gozo, y vuestros rostros no estén cubiertos de vergüenza.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him: and saved him out of all his troubles.
He aquí un miserable que clamó, y Yahvé lo oyó, lo salvó de todas sus angustias.
7 The angel of the Lord shall encamp round about them that fear him: and shall deliver them.
El ángel de Yahvé monta guardia en torno a los temerosos de Dios y los salva.
8 O taste, and see that the Lord is sweet: blessed is the man that hopeth in him.
Gustad y ved cuan bueno es Yahvé; dichoso el hombre que se refugia en Él.
9 Fear the Lord, all ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
Temed a Yahvé, vosotros, santos suyos; los que le temen no carecen de nada.
10 The rich have wanted, and have suffered hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not be deprived of any good.
Empobrecen los ricos y sufren hambre; pero a los que buscan a Yahvé no les faltará ningún bien.
11 Come, children, hearken to me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Venid, hijos, escuchadme, y os enseñaré el temor de Yahvé.
12 Who is the man that desireth life: who loveth to see good days?
¿Ama alguno la vida? ¿Desea largos días para gozar del bien?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Pues guarda tu lengua del mal, y tus labios de las palabras dolosas.
14 Turn away from evil and do good: seek after peace and pursue it.
Apártate del mal, y obra el bien; busca la paz, y ve en pos de ella.
15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the just: and his ears unto their prayers.
Los ojos de Yahvé miran a los justos; y sus oídos están abiertos a lo que ellos piden.
16 But the countenance of the Lord is against them that do evil things: to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
Yahvé aparta su vista de los que obran el mal, para borrar de la tierra su memoria.
17 The just cried, and the Lord heard them: and delivered them out of all their troubles.
Claman los justos y Yahvé los oye, y los saca de todas sus angustias.
18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a contrite heart: and he will save the humble of spirit.
Yahvé está junto a los que tienen el corazón atribulado y salva a los de espíritu compungido.
19 Many are the afflictions of the just; but out of them all will the Lord deliver them.
Muchas son las pruebas del justo, mas de todas lo libra Yahvé.
20 The Lord keepeth all their bones, not one of them shall be broken.
Vela por cada uno de sus huesos; ni uno solo será quebrado.
21 The death of the wicked is very evil: and they that hate the just shall be guilty.
La malicia del impío lo lleva a la muerte; y los que odian al justo serán castigados.
22 The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall offend.
Yahvé redime las almas de sus siervos, y quienquiera se refugie en Él no pecará.
