Psalms 26

1 Unto the end, a psalm for David. Judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in my innocence: and I have put my trust in the Lord, and shall not be weakened.

দাউদের গীত। হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাকে নির্দোষ মান্য করো, কারণ আমি নির্দোষ জীবনযাপন করেছি; আমি সদাপ্রভুতে আস্থা রেখেছি এবং বিপথে যাইনি।

2 Prove me, O Lord, and try me; burn my reins and my heart.

হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাকে পরখ করো ও যাচাই করো, আমার হৃদয় ও মন পরীক্ষা করো;

3 For thy mercy is before my eyes; and I am well pleased with thy truth.

কেননা তোমার চিরস্থায়ী প্রেমে আমি সর্বদা মনযোগী এবং তোমার বিশ্বস্ততায় নির্ভর করে বেঁচে রয়েছি।

4 I have not sat with the council of vanity: neither will I go in with the doers of unjust things.

আমি প্রতারকদের সঙ্গে বসি না, ভণ্ডদের সঙ্গে আমি পথ চলি না।

5 I have hated the assembly of the malignant; and with the wicked I will not sit.

অনিষ্টকারীদের সমাবেশ আমি ঘৃণা করি এবং দুষ্টদের সাথে বসতে অস্বীকার করি।

6 I will wash my hands among the innocent; and will compass thy altar, O Lord:

আমি নির্দোষিতায় আমার হাত পরিষ্কার করি, এবং তোমার যজ্ঞবেদিতে আসি, হে সদাপ্রভু,

7 That I may hear the voice of thy praise: and tell of all thy wondrous works.

উচ্চস্বরে তোমার প্রশংসা করি এবং তোমার অপূর্ব কীর্তিকাহিনি ঘোষণা করি।

8 I have loved, O Lord, the beauty of thy house; and the place where thy glory dwelleth.

হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি তোমার পবিত্রস্থান আর যেখানে তোমার মহিমা বিরাজ করে, সেই স্থানটি ভালোবাসি।

9 Take not away my soul, O God, with the wicked: nor my life with bloody men:

পাপীদের সাথে তুমি আমার প্রাণ নিয়ো না, হত্যাকারীদের সাথে আমার জীবন নিয়ো না,

10 In whose hands are iniquities: their right hand is filled with gifts.

তাদের হাতে আছে দুষ্কর্মের ফন্দি, তাদের ডান হাত ঘুসে পরিপূর্ণ।

11 But as for me, I have walked in my innocence: redeem me, and have mercy on me.

আমি নির্দোষ জীবনযাপন করি; আমাকে রক্ষা করো ও আমার প্রতি দয়া করো।

12 My foot hath stood in the direct way: in the churches I will bless thee, O Lord.

আমার পা সমতল জমিতে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে, এবং মহাসমাবেশে আমি সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করব।
